Rachel's Shifters series follows Faythe Sanders, the world's only female werecat enforcer, as she fights to define her own role in her family and to claim a place in her Pride. The revolution is coming, and Faythe will be leading the charge.

A resident of Oklahoma, Rachel Vincent has a BA in English and an overactive imagination, and consistently finds the latter to be more practical. She shares her workspace with two black cats (Kaci and Nyx) and her # 1 fan. Rachel is older than she looks-seriously-and younger than she feels, but remains convinced that for every day she spends writing, one more day will be added to her lifespan.
It is a story about a hidden society of were-black-panthers. Story is built around Faythe Sanders; a stubborn, thick skinned female were-cat with radical opinions who is trying her best to stay out of any kind of were-cat related business by making an attempt to lead a normal human girl's college life.

She not only despise her responsibilities to the were-cat society as a tabby by refusing to marry Mark; a stray alpha material were-cat adopted by her parents but also try to avoid her father's plans for her But in the end despite of her mean struggles to stay away, she's been dragged into the middle of were-cat political crisis.
I'm so glad the series was completed by the time I got hands on it; if I had to wait even a day for last few books to release, I think I would have died of too much anticipation. :-s
Rachel Vincent has a fascinating writing style She's so funny I find myself laughing hysterically at the situations that doesn't look funny at all. Sometimes I read...re-read...and re-re-read some paragraphs just so I can laugh again. I also don't find cussing fancy, but in her books even cussing sounds fun... xD.. if that makes any sense...
When starting off reading something she wrote, it feels like jumping into the middle of an already running series; a fact I LOVE!!! It keeps me busy constantly guessing and also it keeps my curiosity intact.
I was deathly shocked when :"( ....I tell you, I never saw that coming... :-< but I sort of expected it by the time it happened, it had to happen to give Faythe the grand entrance and end her up in the deep doo-doo.
I just wish Rachel write a spin-off series for the Were-cat series starting with Kaci or Jace... 8-> Cuz even the series is over, it doesn't feel like it's the ending. There's so much more work to be done. I want more......... :(( (And I have really good reasons to think that I am not only one...)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
During a semi-recent book slump that flung me into a massive re-read sesh, I decided it was about that time in my life to re-read the entire Shifters series… and I was given life once again.
It’s been a good 5-7 years since I re-read this series. That’s right. Re-read.
Because after I read this series the first time (about 10 years ago or so), I immediately re-read it over and over again for a good year before finally giving it a rest.
Sometimes when you go back and read a series or book that you loved, you realize that it wasn’t quite as good as you remembered it to be.
That is not the case with this series.
In fact, it was an Old Reliable – a series that I knew would give me the warm and fuzzies, not to mention butterflies.
I’d nearly forgotten how much I loved some of the epic one-liners that gut-punched you. I’d forgotten the tragedy, the humor, the suspense, the cringey moments, and the moments that make you want to strangle certain characters.
One thing that did change a bit this time around was how I felt about our main character, Faythe.
When I first read this book, I was Faythe’s age and I remembered absolutely loving her defiant attitude. Now that I’m older, I found her to be much more immature. It was ALMOST annoying, but not quite. Because, given her age, it was entirely understandable.
This series kept my heart rate up and my stomach tied in knots, even though I knew what was going to happen.
Reading it for the first time? I almost couldn’t handle it!
Oh, to be able to read your favorite books for the first time all over again, amirite?
Anyway, I think this series is incredibly underrated and definitely is worth reading if you haven’t already! (Fair warning – there is a love triangle in this book, but it is done very well!)
Absolutely loved this series and desperately wished it would be continued!! Please explore married life and raising her kids!! It’s one of my favorite book series families!!!!
The Shifters Series is filled with action, family, and love. A nonstop roller-coaster of emotion I couldn't get enough of. I give you a ten for a series I can pick up and read over and over again. Love it!
These books get a full 10 stars! I hated for it to end. Faythe is one of those characters that you love but at the same time you're like what are you doing!!? She's not perfect.
An enjoyable serise with a twisted romance, politics and murder. All developing around a strong headed independant woman who is fought against every step of the way.
