Satniss Neverkeen finds himself entering the Bounty Hunter Games for his little brother. Well, specifically, so Satniss can prove to his bratty little brother that these games are no match for someone as awesome as Satniss Neverkeen. But then it turns out that Satty (yes, mean people call him "Satty) may be in over his head when he loses the games, again and again.
While trying to better himself so that he can beat these stupid games and make his brother stop laughing at him, he meets a beautiful girl named Feeta. She is incredibly talented at these games, and she is nice to Satniss, even though he is constantly getting killed and/or hurt. With her help, perhaps Satniss has a chance to prove to the world what is really made of in regards to these weird, stupid games..
