Author. Dreamer. Entrepreneur.

That's how Jessica Kelly describes herself. Just like the main character in her first book, Trick Play, Jessica believes that hard work is the key to success. Luckily, though, creating new characters and new plot twists doesn't feel like work to her! Jessica has always had a passion for writing, and she has dreamed of becoming a successful author for more years than she can count.

So what about the "Entrepreneur" part?

That proves just how serious Jessica is about turning her dream into reality. Her goal isn't to write a book or two in her spare time. Instead, she's focused on building a successful writing career from the ground up. She's not content to JUST have a dream. She's willing to do whatever it takes to make it come true.

Jessica began living the dream the moment she started writing Trick Play. When she's not dreaming up new story ideas, this native Floridian can be found spending quality time with friends and family, soaking up the sun on the beach, and -- of course -- reading.

Something was off !!

For me something just didn't set right, something was definitely off. For Julie being a smart woman she didn't see things (or want to see things) that to me were wrong. Yes Michael said he was a Green Beret, but the first thing that hit me wrong was he didn't want Julie to pick him up at the airport after being gone for six months. Really. And he disappears for training missions and she doesn't know the first thing about who is commanding officer is, or any of his fellow Green Berets. And she finds out the engagement ring is a fake. Okay for me it was weird that her mother said to get it appraised (for insurance purposes) I've been married for 35 years and that thought never crossed my mind or my mother's. Just weird. And I know it was a short story but I really don't like cliffhangers. I've read several from Jessica Kelly and loved those, this one just kept me saying "really"

Picture Perfect is part one of a series featuring Julie Walker and Michael Bentley. The story was ok but there could have been more depth particularly regarding character development. From the story, I didn't get a good feel for the main characters; what was there, I didn't particularly like. I'm hoping that this will be cleared up in the next book.

The ending was a bit of a surprise and I'm curious to know if their relationship can stand the test of reality beyond the photograph. Lets see....

Good read

Loved how this storyline was different from the last one. The wild characters and crazy weird world the main characters were in keep me reading all night.
