Mary finally learns what the Witchblade's world is all about as she gets pulled to the other side where she has both friends and enemies...if only she know who was which!
Stjepan Šejić is a Croatian comic book writer and artist, known for his work on the series Witchblade, Aphrodite IX, Sunstone, and The Darkness among others.
Yes! It has finally arrived and it continues to be more amusing than the original Witchblade series. As usual, the art is lovely, and Sejic's nerdy humour is endearing. I really like that the previous Witchblade bearers are interacting with Mary more than they did with Sara. This gives Sejic access to a whole cast of characters who'll have various dynamics with Mary as influence her differently.
Fingers crossed that this and Death Vigil can continue along with Sunstone, but the odds aren't looking so great...
The story and art are excellent as always, but also I really appreciate the catch up page for each issue. Other ongoing series' could learn a lot from that.
Was torn between 4 and 5 stars for this, for it made me grin and fall so in love with Mary! But it didn't otherwise do all that much for me, as this album was mainly an info-dump, even if it was done in a fun and character-driven way.
I am a little worried about the fact that I know this series isn't finished, though, and I don't know if Sejic plan to pick it up again, like with Death Vigil. I want him to, for I'm really enjoying this series!
First, welcome back Sejic, glad to know you are healthy (enough) to continue! Now, the story and art are up to par as usual. This story doesn't miss a step. And it's about the only form of narration in comics that I find acceptable.
