Excellent daily devotional. Every day contains a passage from the gospels/Acts and one from the Epistles/Revelation which are presented in the order of the Bible (rather than any attempt to form a chronological sequence). However what sets this book apart is the commentary/reflection included on each passage, and most impressively a daily excerpt from a Psalm (also with commentary) that reinforces one of the key points in one of the two passages on that day

Excellent daily devotional for the New Testament based on the ESV translation. Each day comes with a reading from the gospels / Acts and another from an Epistle - each done in the order they appear in the Bible - creating an easy plan to read the New Testament in a year.
Each reading comes together with some very helpful brief commentary, from a relatively traditional perspective. My one small reservation here was that this felt aimed at the newer Christian. e.g. there was little by way of theological depth or attempt to engage with any difficulties in the text, although this is perhaps appropriate for a daily devotional as opposed to a theological commentary.
But the greater value add comes with a linked, and carefully chosen, Psalm verse each day , carefully chosen to reflect on one or both of the readings, and an associated prompt for thought and prayer.
Recommended.

After daily Bible reading, I would encourage a good devotional study of God's word. This book is a great example of what daily devotionals should be. Although the book has Anonymous for the daily studies, they are written in a Reformed way. I very much appreciated the Reflections that were presented each day as well as Thoughts for prayer.

If you are looking for a daily devotion guide for 2019, I highly recommend this one.
This is a walk through the New Testament with two sections each day. The first scripture line starts with Matthew and walk through Matthew, Mark, Luke, John & Acts from January to December.
The second line is Romans to Revelations. So each day, you get a passage from the Gospels then an passage from the rest of the NT, along with a reflecting or explanative passage about each one. The daily content ends with a passage or verse from Psalms along with a daily “Thought for Prayer.”
I have enjoyed this year long walk through the New Testament and believe I have learned from it.

Really solid devotional. I couldn't figure out who wrote these, but then I saw they're derived from the varied crew who put together the ESV Transformation Bible.
Some of these can get a little long for a quick devotional. At the end, it looks as if they didn't quite plan the spacing out well enough, because they start getting very long.
On the whole, solid teaching and explanations throughout.

I read this book during the year 2020. It was a great way to read the entire New Testament in a year. It not only gave you short readings for every day of the year; it also had explanations of the readings and Bible references for further understanding. I will definitely read this book in the future for another year of New Testament inspiration.

Took us 2 years, but well worth it to truly read through the NT! Commentary-reflections were helpful, as well as prayer prompts and a short psalm reading. It’s too bad it’s out of print.

This is a really great daily devotional. It not only provides a selection from a chapter in the New Testament but then explains it and provides a prayer based on it.

To get in the habit of reading Scripture from Genesis to Revelation can be a daunting task, especially if you've never done it before. And it can be doubly dispiriting if you've tried a time or two and never gotten past the first half of Genesis. My normal counsel, when asked, is to encourage "Start small, build steam, then go for the goal!" That's what makes "Daily Devotional New Testament" a delightful project! The aim of this volume is to aid the reader to get through the New Testament in one year. To do this the publisher has broken up the daily readings into bite-size portions, so that day-by-day the reader moves through the whole New Testament in one year.
The daily rhythm of the "Daily Devotional New Testament" includes two small readings from the English Standard Version (ESV), punctuated with "Reflections" for each reading, and then a final "Thoughts for Prayer." The first reading is from one of the Gospel accounts during the first four-fifths of the year, and then the Acts of the Apostles for the last fifth of the year. This is a brilliant move, making the Acts part of the Gospel readings, though I personally would have had the Acts readings right after Luke. After the Gospel/Acts reading is a short reflection on the passage for the purpose of reviewing what was just read, and what it means in the reader's life. The second daily reading comes from the Letters of Paul, Hebrews, James, Peter, John, Jude and finally Revelation. Once this second reading is accomplished, there is another short reflection for pondering the passage. And, as stated earlier, the day's reading ends with how to allow the passages to guide our prayer for the day.
Each of the daily readings are short and sequential so that the Christian will work through the whole New Testament easily, and thoughtfully. The goal for this approach is beautifully expressed by Alistair Begg in the forward, "Neglecting proper biblical nourishment spoils the spiritual appetite, and the result is theological malnutrition. If we are to avoid this condition we must have Bible-teaching pastors and Bible-reading congregations -- men and women whose ready reception of the preaching is more than matched by their daily examination of Scripture." This work is a great way to jump into Bible reading, and is usable for teenagers and adults alike. Once you've successfully completed this easy-to-use edition, you will be primed to take up the whole Bible. Hustle out and snatch up a copy for yourself, your family and your friends for 2016! I highly recommend this book!

Great daily reading
Had the hard back for about a year before buying the e-version. I love reading this every day and now being able to read the Mobil version will only make a great book better.
