Mack is straight as an arrow, and Tim had always thought himself the same, so the doctor pushes the need he feels down deep. Being one of only five doctors in a small ranching community keeps him too busy to think about having a love life. When Mack mutters something in his post-op drugged state, it floors Tim. And makes him realize that maybe there’s a chance. A chance that scares the hell out of him.

(Originally Reviewed for Love Bytes Same Sex Book Reviews.)

With Bronc Buster, Kelex brings us to the end of the Tales from Triple M Ranch series. It has been quite the ride with her gay cowboys, her “pony” ride male prostitutes, and the cast of many who have flowed through the books.

But there was one man on the Triple M Ranch who never got much coverage. Mack Maitland has been a widower for about ten years, since his wife died of cancer at age 34. Mack has never been attracted to a man, but Dr. Timothy McArthur isn’t just any man. There are only two huge problems…Mack is straight…and so is Timothy!

When Mack is shot and left for dead, Tim does everything he can to save him, including spending so much time in the ICU with him that the nurses begin to give him knowing looks. Tim tells Mack some things while Mack is in a coma. Who better to talk to than someone who is in a coma and won’t remember it, right?

When Mack awakens and remembers exactly what the good doctor told him, both men scramble to deny their thoughts and feelings! What will happen next?

I think I liked this the best of the five books in the series. It has far less sex than most of Kelex’s books and it is more of a blossoming love story. I recommend you give this book, and this series, a shot. I don’t think you will be sorry!

Thank you for introducing me to these amazing cowboys from Triple M Ranch...I'm going to miss them!!!
Mac, honorable, caring, loving compassionate man, always there to help, giving these men the freedom to be who they are, live the life they want, without judgment, hate, disrespect. He loved everyone on his ranch, they were his family. But for so long, he continued to care for everyone else, selflessly neglecting his own needs. He wanted love, wanted a partner to share his life with, he finally found it. It came in a different package, but Tim was want he wanted and needed. Tim, needed Mac as well, although both were straight, these to found love, trust, and a happy committed life together.
The chemistry between these two was scorching. ....I'm so happy Mac got his HEA....Sad to say goodbye

What a way to end the series! I LOVED Mack and Tim, the emotion and connection between the two of them. I wish there had been even more to this story and we got more time with them. I really enjoyed this series...I'm a romantic at heart so I admit I did like the last books more than the first, since they were in a different direction than the first couple of books. I really enjoyed the men at the Triple M Ranch (and I wouldn't say no to more! At the M & T Ranch!) and look forward to whatever else Kelex writes next - pretty much auto-buy for me!

What a way to end the series! I'm glad Kelex told Mack's story. I felt like his story should have been last as well. It was nice to see Mack get his happy ever after! I finally know what Triple M stands for! I've been wondering since the first book.

Short and sweet. I'm glad to see Mack get his HEA. I feel in love with since the beginning. It saddened me to see this series come to an end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the stories of the sexy cowboys out in the Triple M ranch. I guess all good things must come to an end.
