Tania Clinton left her small hometown of Sweet Lily, Texas shortly after her graduation day with the intent to never return. Her mother had gone on to be with the Lord, leaving her and her baby sister, Naomi, in the hands of their eldest sister, Mona. Things between Tania and Mona weren't great (to say the least), but Tania had finally moved on…or so she thought. After receiving an invitation to Naomi’s wedding, memories of why she left began to haunt Tania. Why was this happening? Had Tania truly forgiven Mona or had she simply tucked those memories in the back of her mind? Will one trip home undo countless acts of cruelty? This story of redemption begs the honest How long does it take to forgive?
OMG! I really don't know where to begin. This was an excellent read on redemption and forgiveness. I am not an emotional person but this book had me feeling all kinds of emotions. This book was about hidden secrets that can cause one to hurt the people they are close to. The author did a great job with this story and If you are looking for an excellent read this book is for you. Great job CaSandra McLaughlin.
This book was a very good read. My attention was captured from the beginning to the end of the book. There was a lesson to learn that jealousy, hate, hurt and unforgiving can cause a lot of unnecessary pain, bitterness and strife in your life. I love how the author used God's Word to show that when we give everything over to God, forgive others just as he has forgiven you. God can take a bad situation and turn it around for his good and glory. I could feel and imagine some of the characters emotions as I was reading the storyline. I recommend this book to read. I enjoyed this Sunday afternoon reading, well written story. The first three chapters were tragic and difficult to read; the remaining chapters were truly a reclamation of love and family.
Sisters grow up and confront one another on how they were treated in the past. This was a good Christian page-turner that I would definitely recommend.
I really enjoyed this book. Tania, the main character struggled with relationships. Resolving her family relationship issues help to improve other relationships.

Good read about family, forgiveness and redemption!! The story and the characters were relatable.
Tania Clinton left home after graduating high school & getting a job with no thought of ever returning due to the emotional abuse she suffered at the hands of her big sister Mona. Mona had a secret that made her resent Tania. Since neither talks to the other, they can't resolve their issue. Things have got to change or they can never truly receive what God has for them. Will they forgive and move forward or will they deem past acts unforgivable?
