Sick Obsession
Darrius thought he had it all together; a booming business and a beautiful wife. He had it so good he even had a few women on the side. Life couldn’t be any better for him. That was, until he made an enemy with someone who threatened to take his business down and reveal all of his dirty work outside of his marriage. Darrius has to find out who is behind this before he loses everything dear to him due to his sins of the past and present. Lizeth is a loving and supportive wife who will stand by Darrius no matter what. However, lately she has been wanting to rejoin the work force and live life to the fullest. It seems that once she stepped out of the house she was able to see things clearer. She finds out about something her husband is hiding and she has a choice to make. She has been sitting in the presence of danger the whole time and was not aware of it. Sam is a friend of Lizeth’s, or is she? She suffers from many mental issues to the point that she can’t differentiate between who she is and who she becomes. She secretly wants something Lizeth has and is willing to kill to get it. She has plotted and schemed for so long and now she wants her grand prize. There is no telling how far she will go to get the one she wants.

Sick Obsession
Great job Shawanda! I thoroughly enjoyed this read. There were very few errors and things flowed pretty well. I knew it was always something up with Sam. That chick was crazy for real. Lizeth was doing what was necessary to keep Darrius happy. Darrius had a good woman at home and still chose to mess things up. When things started happening at the office I thought maybe Nelson was behind it since it seemed he came out of nowhere. I had to applaud Lizeth because through everything she had to deal with when it came to Darrius, she never turned her back or let things steer her in a different direction. Nelson and Lizeth were both going above and beyond to get answers for Darrius. I wanted to punch Darrius at times. The family secrets were mind blowing. At least things about Sam came to light and explained why she did what she did. Now Gabby was straight dumb. I can't wait for part 2. Are Darrius and Lizeth free from the drama, how will the hospital handle the obvious, will more be revealed about Sam, and how many more will have to suffer because of one's sick obsession?!

Wow!!!
This was truly a disturbing story. I for sure thought this story would be about a side chick seeking revenge. The twist on this was a total surprise. Sam is one sick woman!

This book is so good. It is beyond twisted. Samantha is more than a couple of French fries short of a happy meal. Good book.

Sick Obsession by Shawanda Carter is a must read. It’s a twisted love story that will leave you speechless. Darrius, Lizeth and Sam are connected and don’t realize it. The secrets that are revealed in this story cause a whirlwind of destruction that no one sees coming.
Darrius had everything a person could dream of. He owned his own business and had a beautiful wife in his college sweetheart Lizette. The saying that a man would lose his entire being over a piece of ass is an understatement for Darrius. He feels he’s untouchable when it comes to his indiscretions. Darrius receives a call from a prominent businessman by the name of Nelson. He knows that if he can get Nelson to sign on with his company it would bring in even more business. Little do they both know, they are also connected.
Lizette was on her way to following in her father’s footsteps of becoming an awesome lawyer. While interning she meets Sam and they hit it off. Instead of pursuing her dreams she sets them aside to become a stay at home wife for her husband as he got his business of the ground. Once everything was said and done, Darrius still doesn’t want her to re-enter the workforce.
Sam is Lizette’s friend that she connects with from time to time. Lizette notices at times that something if off with her but she can’t quite put her finger on it. Little does Lizette know, she has something that Sam wants and will stop at nothing to get.

This story had a good concept. I rated a 4 because I enjoy reading about dangerous, crazy people...Had more detailed background info concerning the characters been introduced, this would have been an easy 5* for me...The dialog between the characters was interesting & the content in the story was on point with the title... I am looking forward to the next part to see how this twisted love story plays out...

Bring on part 2
Omg omg omg......Samantha is something else. This story was recommended to me and it was a great great read. I couldn't put it down, it was so different for anything I have ever read. Looking for a thriller full of surprises look no further. This is my 1st read my this author but definitely not my last. I don't wanna spill the details of the book

Wow
This chick has serious issues she is so obsessed with this man that she disguises herself as different women and makes him think he is sleeping with different women, when she realizes he will never leave his wife she sets out to kill her but fails and gets shot by the police, after months in a coma she escapes the hospital and is up to her old tricks again

Decent until the end
This was an okay read. Doninant male wants a traditional marriage with a side of adultery. Once the brother entered the picture and the secrets started to be revealed, the story (for me) begin to waver into improbable territory. Each reveal became more crazy, until it led to a ludicrous ending.
