Fate’s dark design brings them together ... in a mating neither is ready for.
Five years after witnessing her father's death, Keelyn has become what she never wanted to be: a were-hunter. Surprisingly good at the career she'd had thrust upon her that fateful day, she heads to the yearly gathering to pay her farm's rent with money earned from hunting werewolf hearts and pelts.
Bane and his wolf pack are also headed to the yearly gathering when Bane, the pack's Alpha, finally scents the female his wolf says is to be their forever mate. There's only one problem- she also scents of death and wet wolf hide.
When Bane follows Keelyn into the woods, neither are prepared for the passion, or the truths, they're each about to face.
Can they survive the revelations that lie ahead? Or has fate doomed them to an impossible love?
Note- all the stories in the Alpha Hunted series stand alone, but if you want to read them in time-line order: Before The Hunt (Prequel to the Alpha Hunted series, featuring Sandra & Naythan) Alpha Hunted: Keelyn & Bane Alpha Hunted 2: Bella & Mac Alpha Hunted 3: Ivy, Ryker & David Alpha Hunted 4: Enid & The King An Impawsible Christmas (Sequel)
This book is intended for readers 18+ and comfortable with a sexy romance.
OMG how much drama can a couple get? But it works in this book. And the way they react on each other, pffff so hot! I like the way when his wolf takes over and he does things he hadn't
It is written with humor, action and passion. Like to read more from this writer
This would have been a really great book it was detailed and almost a 5 star read until it just ended. It’s as if it’s missing the final chapter or epilogue I’m frankly disgusted because this would have been good if author at least finished ending unless she plans on doing in Book 2. I will carry on and continue author hopefully this isn’t a pattern.
This book was a great read. The story was completely original and well thought out, I've never read anything like it. It was really fun to read and imagine the settings and the characters that were in it.
There was really nothing to complain about in this story. There were a few spelling mistakes and some basic editing errors, but other than that, the story was well written. The main characters are fantastic! Keelyn is a beautiful, no nonsense, kick butt kind of woman. She's an exceptional hunteress who is a very intelligent, hard-working, protective type and does everything for her family. Bane is a hot and sexy wolf shifter who is intelligent, determined, and very strong. He's protective, muscular, and kicks butt. The supporting characters are just as good. They are well imagined.
I recommend this book if you are into action, adventure, suspense, intrigue, mystery, sex scenes, love, and HEA endings. I must warn you, there is a rape in this book, which isn't detailed and an attempted rape which is detailed, quite a bit, actually, but it's a short scene. If you are disturbed by reading that kind of thing and don't want to read the book because of it, then that's your choice. However, you're giving up on a good book for such a small part. Anyway, it's a good book, I hope you read it! Enjoy!
A very different take on shifters. This was originally a 3 part book, much better to be read in one hit as it is quite convoluted and there is a lot going on. The drama and all the background story are full on and it just keeps you reading. The family dynamics are quite interesting as well, the sisters have secrets and the mother is such a racist bigot. Liked Bane but was not too sure about Keelyn at first but as the story evolved I realised it is her upbringing causing the problems. Will be interesting to see how this how story evolves. My only gripe is I am not sure what time frame we are in, sometimes it feels medieval paying rent to the King, but then we have hooked bras and other modern items.
Review for ALPHA HUNTED 2 I received this as a gift for an honest review All I can say is that J.M. Klaire has really packed this story with so much that a normal review is almost impossible. You have Bane and Keelyn, now mated…her sister Bella, pregnant from a rape and now her other sister Ivy turns out to be a lion shifter. It would seem there was another nonconsensual relationship (?) between their grandmother and a shifter. Now it is up to them all to find out the truth. Is their grandfather one of the lion shifters holding the king prisoner? Does he even know he has a daughter and 3 granddaughters ?? Does he know one of them is a werehunter? Does he know she is now one of the people that has a bounty on them because of his lion shifters ? Oh, it just keeps getting better doesn’t it ? Let’s see what happens next, shall we ?
