Excellent read

The author’s characterization captured the local color of the Crestview area. The plot was engaging with an underlying philosophical bent. If you are interested in a delightful and quick read, then WEDDING DAY is the book for you.

What a delightful book! Once I started reading "Wedding Day" it was difficult to put down because I wanted to see what would happen next in this zany/humorous/magical/romance story. Bryan Flynn, the protagonist, is a wedding day limo driver and fisherman extraordinaire in the Florida Panhandle. Bryan is a simple man who leads a simple life until he is struck by lightening and acquires the "gift" of hearing an other-worldly voice that tells him whether or not a couple should marry.
There are many hilarious situations that occur with Bryan's gift/curse, but the highlight of the book is Bryan himself! Ostensibly a simple man who doesn't plan past today, Bryan exhibits wisdom, a sense of gratefulness, and a profound understanding of right and wrong without being judgmental or didactic. And he conveys this simply - without a college degree or monetary riches. Amidst this highly entertaining and humorous read is a character who provides a breath of fresh air. Highly recommended.
