This is what happens when social media goes wrong ...
Down on his luck, Jack Williams heads for the pub to get drunk. He’s lost his job, he’s in debt, and his girlfriend has thrown him out. Things can’t get any worse, can they? He doesn’t think so. But then three guys enter and demand protection money from the landlord. Jack, being the sort of bloke he is, can’t just sit back and do nothing. He tells the thugs to go away, take a hike. A fight ensues. Jack gets badly beaten. One of the thugs cuts his face, leaving him scarred. When Jack comes around in hospital, he sees what he looks like and vows revenge. Weeks later, when he’s recovered, he watches a news clip about a serial killer who’s escaped from prison. James Ward has a special fetish. He befriends women on Facebook. He meets up with them and kills them. Then he brutalizes them in a very unusual way. Jack wonders how anyone could do something so inhuman. But the more he sees his own ruined reflection, the more he understands. And then he starts plotting his revenge …
Paul has been writing since 2007 and had short stories published in various magazines and anthologies. He lives in Nottingham with his wife and four-year-old son in a rickety old bungalow that really could do with renovation.
The premise of a Face Book is exciting overall, but when the story didn't live up to what I expected, I was half ready to shove it away. However, literally the moment I was getting ready to complain about how there was one sentence of Face removal, the entire story changed and actually, kind of sucked me in. I wanted closure to each character. I also LOVE that Jack didn't fuck around. If he said he was going to bury a bullet in this guy, he did so, and not after 5 pages of deliberation and dialogue, it was QUICK AS FUCK, next sentence quick.
Overall, it started off iffy and redeemed itself enough to be read. Love the straight up revenge aspect that Jovanovic creates as well as his ability to conclude the story of each character well.
At the end of the book it gives a preview to another of his, I'll definitely be checking it out.

A good fast paced novel, full of true grit! A number of storylines coming together, gangsters, murder and mayhem... and more mayhem. A full throttle crime thriller, right til the end!!! Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
Ok for a freebie, pretty descriptive gruesome if you like that. Everyone killing each other
