Our Zany, & Intense Agent Ward returned in Book 5! Kate Mathis kept me frustrated, irritated, & totally involved in both the professional and personal life of our heroine, Melanie. There were many unexpected twists throughout the book, and as always, Kate has left me impatiently waiting to see what will happen next!! Great read!!!

Kate put out another great book. Melanie is still kick ass as ever and I like how she's brought the two together. At the same time, it did change the story for me a bit because it seemed to play down the strength & Melanie as an agent. We lost some of the mystery now that she's got a partner in crime.
There was a portion of the book that felt a bit too drawn out but quickly picked up towards the end. I wasn't a fan of the cliffhanger since the book launches have been pretty far apart that I feel I'm not as invested in the character & plot anymore. I hope Kate comes out with another book soon before I forget what the cliffhanger was all about.

This series was perfect for sunny days of summer. (Some editing would have been great.) The first book was choppy, but enough to have me hooked!
