But the significance of their work doesn’t have time to sink in when Evelyn is given her first assignment.
Cupid elders have received a message and need their newest, least experienced, comrade-in-arms—Evelyn—to retrieve an arrow. That means she must release a mortal from an everlasting love. When she discovers the arrow is fastened to none other than her own love, Tate’s heart, Evelyn battles with letting him go. The century old war for love may be lost if Evelyn doesn’t gear up to save them all.
Being a cupid takes more than a bow and some arrows. Evelyn is challenged to deliver her arrow, let go of her first love, and trust an ancient brooding cupid with her existence. Giving up her lost love’s arrow as an offering will be more painful than getting hit by a streetcar, and she knows how that feels since it’s what started the whole predicament. Will Evelyn be able to keep her covenant to her fellow cupids? Will she save them all or lose everything trying?

Like the others in this series, this one had potential but just fell way short. Not enough information, no answers to any questions, and a bit juvenile. It did have a few lines that made me laugh a little so there's that, at least.

The fight for true love is the story behind the 8th novella in the multi-author series, Supernatural Chronicles. These Cupid are not your cubby, winged cherubs, they are strong warriors that have to fight to preserve true love in the world. Evelyn's journey to become a full fledged Cupid is a poignant story of finding both the strength to let go and the will to move forward. Her teacher, Andel, (a 227 year old heavenly archer) has his own issues, and the hint of chemistry between the two of them leaves you wanting to know where their story will lead. An enjoyable story that is worth reading. I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I got an arc for an honest review. This was a really good book. I really liked the characters and hope to see more of them. I really want to find out if Evelyn shots Andel with her immortal love arrow and they fall in love. I also want to know if Tate finds a new love and if he finds out what Evelyn is

Shot through the heart I absolutely love our killer cupids Evelyn & Andel they make this book for me she's a feisty fire ball and he's tall dark n brooding they have awesome chemistry! I really want to see them get together! The Cupids is a story full of heartbreak new love mystery magic & chocolate! lolz ;) the ending left me wanting more! 5 stars!

A year ago, 19 year old Evelyn sacrificed her life for Tate. She is trying to get over her loss, being trained to be a Cupid, and is tasked as the Cupid representative to heal the Veil and save mankind. Her trainer, Andel, is still working her through the basics. Part of the task is to retrieve half an arrow to allow a mortal to move on with his life. This mortal is her Tate, retrieving an arrow has never been done before, and they are on a time crunch.
I loved this story about Cupids. The background of why they are Cupids and the difficulties they are facing in a world declining in love was great. Evelyn's pain is too real and fresh in her mind. Only a year has past on earth, but it feels like less time to her, and she must face Tate and heal his suffering from her loss.

This installment in the Supernatural Chronicles revolves around a cupid-in-training and the mission she and her trainer are on. I loved this concept; so inventive and therefore unexpected. Contrary to what one would expect from cupids, the plotline is actually a little more sad and heart-breaking than I expected, though there is the young-love offset regarding two secondary characters. A tale about learning to accept when the past must be let go, and letting love move on, I found myself close to tears more than once for such a short novella. A great story though, and such a creative supernatural species!

I absolutely loved this book. To die saving someone's life and have to let go of that someone. That has to be very hard. I thought this book was well written. I really hope there is a continuance to this book. I would love to know what happen with Evelyn and Andel. I think Andel was the one who chose her and he's already in love. Can't wait to see what happens.

This is the first book i have read by Kallie Ross, it will not be the last. I really was not sure what
to expect. The book was interesting from the beginning. It explained how and why one becomes a cupid. It explained how Evelyn did her part to help close the vail. I cannot wait to see what comes next for the cupids, & hope Kallie Ross intends to continue the series.

Great story
Almost at the end of The Supernatural Chronicles and each short story has its own unique circumstance happening. The Cupids is no different. Although I struggled through a couple of sensitive circumstances, in the end I understood why those scenes were a necessary part of the overall story. An excellent story not to be missed.

Highly recommend, fantastic stories!
I was a little hesitant to read this series because I had only read Jaime Magee (The Witches) and im not a fan of short stories. Fast paced adventures & a fun ride! I'm impressed by how this series turned out & and am looking forward to its continuation. I am also going to scope out the authors other works :-)

This one was yet another great addition to this series. I love the concept of 10 different authors creating an epic series spanning different races but with a common goal.
Evelyn and Andel are a different but welcome take on cupids. I loved their story and hope there is more to come.

The eigth book in the Supernatural Chronicles. Evelyn is a soon to be Cupid, once she brings to hearts together. Andel is her mentor. Evelyn and Andel need to bring their piece to the puzzel. This was another I never read about before. I definitely loved it though. I loved the idea with it.

Read as part of the box set. So...does she ever shoot him with her arrow? Hmmm...Now I need to know the rest of her story too. Though I will say I was sad for part of this story, but I'm glad she had her mentor with her.

I received this book free from one of my email subscriptions.
I liked this story, but it was a biut tough at times demotion ally. The main character has to deal with her former boyfriend's arrow while dealing with her grief. It was tough at times, but still good.
