We love our friends and family, and we long for God to be working in their lives. But when it comes to praying for them, often we don't quite know what to ask for. Or our requests to God on their behalf feel shallow, repetitive and stuck in a rut.
That's where this little book is designed to help. It will equip you to pray powerful prayers for the people you loveprayers that really change things, because they're based on God's word.
Each spread takes a passage of Scripture and suggests 5 things to pray for a person in your life. Because when we pray in line with God's priorities as found in his word, our prayers are powerful and effective (James 5 v 16)and that's a truly thrilling prospect.
Use this book in any number of ways: work through it as part of your daily quiet time, or pick it up whenever someone you know is in particular need of prayer.
Each section has a passage of Scripture and suggests 5 things to pray for a person in your life (for example: a teenager, husband, friend, baby, or someone struggling with sin). Prayers are purposeful and worthwhile. Excellent resource to add your prayer library.
Really helpful little book to guide prayers for a variety of people in my life. I’ll be using it often as I bring people around me before God in prayer.
A very helpful little book that will be useful to dip in and out of.
It's divided into 21 chapters, each one a different kind of person you know and love: for example, 'a wife', 'a husband', 'a teenager', 'A Christian going through a hard time', 'A neighbour'. Each chapter contains 5 suggestions of things to pray for that person, and each prayer is based on a passage of the Bible.
Sometimes it's hard to know exactly what to pray for a person in a given situation. It's also easy, particularly if you're praying for someone regularly, to get stuck in a rut and feel like your prayers have lost purpose and direction.
This book is packed with inspiration that will help you pray biblically and meaningfully for the ones you love.
A really simple and helpful guide for knowing what and how to pray. Of course there are categories I wish had been included (e.g. 'A single person' or 'A church leader') but overall a good representation of loved ones I'd like to pray for.
I liked this book so much I gave it out for Christmas last year!
Much more spotty than the other books in the series, which are general enough to guide prayers but not so specific that you are at a loss. This prayer guide is more of a resource I guess as it has numerous specific situations to pray for that may not be applicable at the moment.
