This is one of the few truly inductive Bible studies for women by a woman. Its main focus is on helping the reader understand what the author was saying to the original readers, the starting point for all fruitful study of Scripture.
This 10-week study covers all of Ephesians, is ideal for personal or group use, and is one of three such studies from Keri Folmar. These studies are meant to be written in, so they have lots of extra white space and are spiral-bound for ease of use.
Keri Folmar is the wife of John Folmar, pastor of the United Christian Church of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and the mother of three children. In a previous life, as chief counsel of House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, she was staff writer of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban.
Loved this Bible study so much! It really depended my understanding of God's mercy and grace in my life and how because of that I can give grace to others. Most importantly the study taught me how to study the Bible inductively and I am so thankful to know how to turn to the Bible itself for answers in my study of the Bible.
This was a great way to study Ephesians. Although it's listed as 'for women' the questions and the depth of the study are suitable for anyone. Lots of cross referencing, thought provoking questions, and application. I appreciated how the author broke up each day of work into 3 tips of questions: straight from the text observations (who wrote this), interpretation (based on this, what do we learn), application (how do you apply this). I also appreciated having the work divided into 5 days and the emphasis on praying. I would recommend this study and I will probably use her guides for James and Philippians in a study.
