Looks at the history of bats, describes their characteristics and behavior, and discusses echolocation, migration, social organization, bats in art, and misconceptions about bats
This book is rather comprehensive. Certainly recommended for anyone interested in a good introduction to the anatomy, physiology, and behavior of many types of bats. Includes lots of photographs!
Interesting book, but it's an unwieldy mix of coffee table and text book. The pictures and graphics are amazing, and the information detailed. But the large format makes it a challenge to hold and read.
