I got this cookbook not because I was planning on using the Weight Watchers program (which I've heard has changed a lot since this book came out) but because I wanted something that could give me meals and dishes that were, shall we say, the opposite of Paula Dean. Portion controlled, and not full of things that fill your arteries with goo. I have to admit I haven't used it much over the years, and absolutely nothing will ever get me to eat liver. However, it's staying on my shelf because maybe... And one thing can be said for Weight Watchers--it's not a fad diet. It's the epitome of healthy and sensible.
