No idea why I read this. Well it was free on KU.

It was not terrible. I actually finished it. The hero is a disgusting manwhore. The heroine is a total pushover. Irish mafia. Some violence. A lot of sex. Only one former ONS around. I might have given this 2.5 stars if the hero had a pair. But instead he cowed to his family and screwed the heroine over. Yea I know they make up in the end, but really, who wants a pussy for a BBF?

• Oh my! Kaylee Song has done it again-She wrote another great book AND she wrote this book so I COULDN’T go to bed until I finished it- but she is forgiven because this book had everything that I loved that made this a kick a&& book. Bad Boy is on the hunt and he has his sight on the prize…target…well, you get the picture. This is one fantastic story that has action, suspense, hot and passionate copulation, and big BAD MAFIA guys. Oh but there is so much more to this story…Two Mafia families at war, two mafia kids in love (Romeo and Julia?) and so much more…

Joanna is working off her father’s debt to Grayson’s father in a bar when she sees him one night getting beat up. She just says something and that was the beginning to the end for Greyson wanted her and what he wanted he got. Joanna is hiding secrets for her family is one of their emeries in the Mob side. She took the job only so she didn’t have to her uncle. Soon she and Greyson are going out and that is when things blow sky-high. They are forced into a situation cause by her family, there is a rat and loyalties are divided. Bad things are coming. Greyson is a tough alpha male and he WANTS Jo, NEEDS Jo…what he wants, he gets. Jo on the other hand, hates being forced into situations that she didn’t ask for. She has defnately strong feelings for Greyson and their intimate moments are intense and the sex is OMG intense..As a reader, I loved the sex scenes; This story is about a couple who finds love out of a strong moment in time and while being forced by outside forces. Can their love that is brewing have a chance or will the danger from the rat strike and Jo be hurt?

I hope the author will write a follow-up book about the secondary cast of characters in the story-- Mary, Willa and Janson . They definitely need their own stories written.

My Rating: 5.0 *****

DNF @ 29%.

Ok, I just want to start by saying I really tried to give this one an honest shot. The h was studying for her PhD which is great. I was expecting a h that would be smarter than the usual donkeys we see in romance books. Unfortunately, that was not the case. She was so stupid!! She is "forced" to dress extremely slutty for a party and despite being warned about the H, sleeps with him immediately. There is no hesitation in her mind. I thought she was smart!!!! Then she continues to sleep with him and acts like a complete moron. The H dresses her with fancy clothes and jewelry which is SUCH A CLICHE!!! This dummy doesn't show any good judgement. All these bad things were happening with her family and the H's family but she seemed to only care about having sex with the H. A guy who has a terrible manwhore reputation and she only just met him.

Seeing all these five star rating for this, I decided to go for it. The story developed nice enough (although grammar is an issue in this book..) but sometimes I wanted to slap her. And the ending? It did felt really wrapped up. And left open, for a sequel maybe???

I received this book as a arc for my honest opinion.
Okay I've never been big on any book that has anything to do with the mob, I've read some that left me glad it was over. But I read the info on this book thought hey why not, I get to read it for free, if I don't like it no biggie. So I pick up my tablet and starting reading. Next thing I know my fire alarm is going off because I burnt dinner. I lost all track of time. So I got up shut off stove and sat right back down. I couldn't stop reading. The characters are written so amazing. I felt as if I was there in Jo's shoes, her pain, fear, confusion, anger, love, passion I felt it all. I was angry on her behalf, wanted to jump in the book hide her and give her a hug. Then we have Greyson and holy cow he was written just as good. I felt his anger at his dad but also his need for his dad's love, his anger, hate, love and joy of his JOBS. His passion, desire, need, concern, confusion and his growing love for Jo. I don't think I have ever been so grateful for signing up for something different in my entire life. I loved every second. So worth the burnt dinner. Because I didn't stop reading until the last page. I honestly didn't care about the world around me just this awesome story. I can honestly say I will be the 1st to read any book for this series or author from here on out. Absolutely a must read. So go to where you buy your books and buy buy buy. Heck buy one as a gift too, your friends will love it.

This is a BRILLIANT MUST READ

wow Kaylee has got you pulled straight into the relationship between Joanne O'Brien the niece of the enemy of Greyson's, other Mob family without knowing who she is except that he wants her that one time si she's out of his system.
He has to have her no matter what & that's what happened when they are seen and photographed together they have to be married even though they try to fight it they can't help fall in love without actually knowing each other. There I'd do much tension and oh his if you love reading sexually appetite this is for you and it gets your heart pumping wondering if they can stay together with what their families trying to be the top ones.
Has Joanne lost everything when Greyson finds out she betrayed him by giving her uncle what he wanted even though it was life or death but now the morning after their wedding he pushed her out and became the monster he knew he was. Well that was until he finds out she's with his child & then his brother had kidnapped her. Can Greyson save Joanne and his own life after he goes to get her???

Story 2 RAGE
I adored this edge on seat story between Rage 'Cullen' and Lala 'Layla'
Layla left behind her life from the MC when she was a teenager after the death of her father due to his life as president of the MC and she couldn't stay and watch the same thing happen to her brother Sean and his best mate come her boyfriend Cullen as she knew they were going to join and be big in the MC.
Though Layla had to go back for the funeral of the murder of Sean and then told she had to stay to keep her safe which kills both her and Cullen who is now 2nd in command, who still blames her for leaving him. Bones the current president says She stays and becomes their accountant then after getting involved with their competitors from another MC and the Irish Mob Who gets her to do some accounting work for them in exchange of them helping hunt down the be MC gang (who deals in with drugs)around town who owned up to Sean's murder and then the gun down of another of their men. After finding where one of the mobs employee's hangs out who dealt with the group's drug selling to the mob, see's 1 that was at the shooting who tells him that it was one of theirs that told them to take the blame.
During their time back together again had brought them back together romantically again also after finding out who was the one killing Layla's family the men who Cullen trusts gets together without telling Layla that he's leaving and where to that she gets a visit from a old hated school friend who has been with Cullen, saying she wants to make amends but was setting her up and drugs her to take her to Bones, can Cullen, Thrash and Uncle Mick get to her BEFORE Bones does anything to her....

Original Review @ Naomi’s Reading Palace

Wed to the Bad Boy was a 99 cent bargain I picked up last year, when I was going through my bad boy stage, which I finally decided to read! This story was set around the Mob, and a feuding family that pushes them together. It wasn’t a very dark read but had enough moments that had you guessing what was going on.

Joanna was working for the Fitzgerald family to pay off her father’s debts. She was feisty but managed to stay under the radar for a while, until she caught the eye of Greyson Fitzgerald when he was being dealt a punishment. I liked seeing the banter between Joanna and Greyson; she tried to stay away from him, but he kept drawing her in.

Greyson is a ruthless killer, but seemed to switch off when he was with Joanna. She drew another side out of him and when these two hit the sheets it was hot! Greyson pushed Joanna to her limits and I could see they were both falling hard, but didn’t tell one another their feelings.

There were a few hiccups along the way – a half brother, a pushy uncle wanting to bring the Fitzgerald Company down and a father manipulating his sons. So it wasn’t an easy journey for Greyson and Joanna. I didn’t like how Joanna turned to putty once she got with Greyson, I wanted to see her push him more and show that they were compatible for one another.

Wed to the Bad Boy was a good read, but didn’t blow me away as I hoped it would. I hadn’t read a mob book in a while and wanted to get into the dark world that usually comes with it. This book didn’t really have any dark moments, a bit of drama, a quick, intense romance and a good storyline. I would like to try more from this author to see if she can win me over with something else.

My copy of Wed to the Bad Boy actually had another story in the back (Rage), which I did not realise until I got to the epilogue, 43% into the book. That little detail should’ve been advertised on the front of the book, a little heads up would’ve been nice. Unfortunately I haven’t read it as yet and will return to it in the future.

description

He was everything I never thought I wanted, but everything I needed. At least at the moment.

Joanna find herself working to pay off her father's debt. And not this is not just any job, but one where there are rules. She is supposed to just be in the background and unnoticeable. Until she is noticed and unfortunately it is by the worse possible person, Greyson.

The mob boss's son is a player and a killer. He is being groomed to take the thrown and has always done what he has been told to do for the business. He just likes to have his bed warmed on the side...frequently...by different women. Then he see her and now he wants her and he is going to get her.

Joanna and Grey has serious chemistry and after one taste neither of them are ready to step away. But because of who they are, their families decide they must be together. Emily landed herself a monster and Grey got coupled with an angel.

I enjoyed this book. Grey wasn't as monster-ish as I thought he would be but it worked. It was nice that at times he felt something because of his actions. Joanna, was a bit of push-over but she did things she thought she didn't have a choice in the matter. While this book was on the darker side of contemporary it was not that dark, it was more dirty than anything else, which is more than fine by me. I did feel that then ending was wrapped up too quickly but I am excited to read more of these mob boys.

BOOKS:
WED TO THE BAD BOY
STOLEN:A BAD BOY ROMANCE

AUTHOR: KAILEE SONG
MAD LOVE RATING:
❤️❤️❤️

I bought one book and to my surprise, I got two. The first book is also included in the .99 cents price, i had paid for Stolen: A Bad Boy Romance, but i also got, as a bonus from the author, the first book in the series: Wed to the Bad Boy. What an excellent bargain. I started reading and read both books back to back. HEAVEN!

The stories are solid y bien entretenidas, No cabe dudas que la autora sabe como los machos actúan. I enjoyed the characters and their chemistry, Si, la verdad es que tienen un temperamento bien fuerte, but mostly, I loved the way both men reacted to non-sense. However, the stories are very short, and they end abruptly. It stared promising, me llamo la atencion y no pude dejar de leerlos. As soon as I started reading, i couldn't put it down....but when you are getting the hang of the story, right at the climax....it ends....Finito, The End, se acabó. BOTH OF THEM!!!! Now, I understand why the author decided to put them together.

So, if you'd like to take advantage of this bargain, the books are still .99 cents, i don't know until when...however, at the time of this posting that was the sale price. Asi que aprovecha y compralos, si quieres una lectura corta y entretenida, pero estan advertidos.

Irish mob, a girl paying off a family debt, a chemistry than runs as hot as it is dangerous... Good stuff, right?

The story is really catchy. To my mind, the writing style was a little superficial. There wasn't much of a connection with the characters at first. Though I admit that as the story progressed, they started to feel more real. Joanna has dreams of her own that are squashed by the mob's ruthless rules, while Greyson is a murderous monster who feels instantly and irrevocably bonded to a woman he craves.

I liked how he's very honest with his feelings for her in his inner dialogue. He frets that she will never feel the same for him. That's a change from so many novels where the man refuses to acknowledge any feelings or attachment to the woman until almost the end of the story.

I also enjoyed the conflict that entailed rivalries, mobster violence, betrayal, dirty dealings and dirtier bedtime scenes.

Overall, I had fun. The ending was a bit rushed, but I really liked the drama, both emotional and violent, that punctuated this story of mobsters, arranged marriage and hot romance against all odds.

Definitely disappointed with how quickly the author chose to end this book. The story line itself was good and had so much potential to make an amazing novel, but unfortunately it felt as though the author ran out of time and just ended it as quickly as possible. I could have seen this story line developing much further that what it was for sure.

DNF - a little to over the top. I am not into mob books and this book is a good example of why. She is forced to marry him and she's like 'well there's nothing I can do, what my uncle wants her gets' and the conversation about the marriage that he had with his mother was the last straw for me.

It was middling. Nothing really wrong, but nothing that stood out. I was a bit disappointed in Joanna. I didn't get a real feel for her character. Working on her Ph.D. was so important to her but she gave it up easily. She came out of this seeming to be a victim. She could have been a stronger character.

If you look back over past posts on the blog, you will see that I am a big fan of Kaylee Song’s work. I have read and reviewed a few of her books that have been published on the blog, so when the opportunity arose to receive an advanced readers copy of Wed To The Bad Boy, I was very eager to accept. Also any book that has the words Bad Boy in the title also get the thumbs up from me. You know I love a bad boy in my books. And well…… What a bad boy Greyson Fitzgerald was indeed!!
Greyson is a self proclaimed monster, the work he has to do whilst working for his father James Fitzgerald within the mob, well…..let’s just say he has alot of blood on his hands. Greyson is a ladies man. Likes his independance. A love ’em and leave ’em type of guy, rarely ever going back for seconds. So whilst being subjected to a beating, ordered for him by his father, his eyes land on Jo O’Brien.
Quiet, mousy Jo O’Brien wants nothing to do with the lifestyle her family is involved with. She wants to be left alone in her crappy little apartment to finish graduate school. Due to her father being a drunken gambler that lent money from The Fitzgerald’s, then being unable to pay it back, Jo is working his debt off by working for them, doing as they tell her. Whilst mixing drinks for members of the mob, she cannot take her eyes off of Greyson, even whilst being beaten and bloody, she still thinks he is the sexiest man she has ever seen, but also knows she should stay away. Their families are rivals, no good would come from going anywhere near him!
Greyson has other plans of course, he wants to screw Jo out of his system. At first Greyson doesnt make the connection between her surname and his rivals. For the first time ever for him though, one time with this certain lady is not enough for him. He can’t see even a couple of times being enough. He wants Jo to be his.
The first time they are seen together by James Fitzgerald and Dennis O’Brien, Jo’s uncle and mob boss, it is clear they are extremely unhappy. James Fitzgerald tells Greyson he now has to marry Jo, to try keep the peace, to try to prevent a war between the two families breaking out. Jo is told by her uncle that she has to marry Grayson to get him information to bring the Fitzgerald’s down, otherwise he will hurt her and her father. Little do they know, David, Greyson’s half brother, is waiting in the background, lurking, wanting to take everything away from him and to destroy him.
Are both, Grayson and Jo, willing to do as their families tell them? Could there be anything more between them than just extreme lust? Or is Grayson’s time up?
This story is full to the brim with action, suspense and bucket loads of passion. The lust and attraction between Greyson and Jo is instant and intense. Their sexual encounters are mutually dark but extremely hot. Phew! Very hot under the collar stuff!!
We see Jo come out of her shell throughout the story, although she does have a slightly mischevious side throughout the story when she is alone with Greyson. Pushing his buttons a little bit. Greyson is a hard a*s. He doesn’t like the vulnerable side that Jo seems to pull out of him when they are together.
I loved that we got the book from both Greyson and Jo’s points of view, being able to understand the emotion and push and pull from both sides, from two characters that seem like they are the polar opposite of each other, but that actually work together perfectly. The writing is descriptive and edgy. The length of the book is a little shorter than I intially thought, as you are actually treated to two books in one from Kaylee when you purchase Wed To The Bad Boy, so I was a little gutted when I reached the end unexpectedly sooner than I thought ha ha. I wanted more Greyson and Jo!
Only one thing for me, is that I would of liked a certain fight scene to be a little longer and bloodier but this didnt detract from the book.
Once again, another excellently written story from Kaylee and I cannot wait to read more of her work.

I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I am fast becoming a Kaylee Song fan. This is the third book she's written that I've read and written a review for. She never disappoints me. She always writes strong characters you are invested in. I love that her female characters are always strong ones too. Then there is the heat she always has in her books. It's actually Kindle melting at times.

Joanna is a O'Brien. Born the niece of a mob boss and a worthless father. She's about to find out just how ruthless her Uncle, who has always taken care of her and her father, can be. Her dad regrettably goes to the rival family the Fitzgerald's and ends up with a gambling debt. A debt that is now the responsibility of Joanna to work off by working for the family as eye candy. This meaning she's seen and not heard and serves drinks at various functions.

Grayson is the son of James Fitzgerald, leader of the mob. He's bright, handsome, a total playboy who only does one night stands, and future heir apparent. Chained to a rack and taking a beating for sleeping with the daughter of the second in command he notices Joanna and the attraction is mutual and immediate. He must have her no matter how much he's warned not to.

Together Joanna and Grayson begin a scorching love affair and fall hard for each other. They don't tell each other how they feel and they just assume their in it just for the fun of it. After asking Joanna to be his date to a very high profile function they are in a mess. Joanna's Uncle has demands and they are forced into a situation the other thinks they don't want to be in. Can they pull this off? Are they really in this for the right reason or because they are forced?

I loved this story from the very first chapter. It was hard to put down as I just had to know what was going to happen next. I loved both Grayson and Joanna each on their own and as a couple. There is a whole host of supporting characters in the book with David, Grayson's half brother, being one I just couldn't stand. He's power hungry and will stop at nothing to become the true heir over Grayson. He is the villain of this love story for sure.

If you are a believer in love at first sight, here's your book. I firmly believe in love at first sight but that it takes time to build the true relationship. Kaylee has a fantastic way of pulling you in and not letting you go to the very end. I can not wait to see where she takes Grayson and Joanna next.

Ugh... Here we go again with all these 4-5 star reviews & I just don't understand it. Did I read the wrong book? I seriously was tempted to DNF this but I kept pushing hoping it would get better. But it was just bad. The editing was terrible, the writing was not great & some of the dialogue was just awful.

***SPOILERS***
For someone that's suppose to be strong & smart, Joanna was dumb & weak. She comes from a strong, powerful family so you would think that she'd have some sort of backbone. But no! She's dumb, weak & easy. She gives up the booty to Greyson, who she knows has a horrible rep of being dangerous & a total womanizer, the very first night she's alone with him. She doesn't fight it, just gives it up & without any protection! Can we just stop with these books of females giving it up without using any protection just because the guys is sex?! It's just absolutely ridiculous.

They know almost nothing about each other & all the do is bone like rabbits. Then she's forced to marry him for a ridiculous reason & also give up her schooling. She doesn't even really take the time to think about it, just resigns the next day! WHAT?! Absolutely insane! So this wedding starts getting planned & his family are just delusional. His mother is all happy about planning this wedding because she's been wanting to get him settled down for years so she thinks this unpleasant agreement is just great. Ugh! "Catholic women only marry once" The mother actually said this & had me laughing & baffled at the same time.

Blah blah blah... All this crap unfolds & shit happens. But when Jo & Greyson reunite they're all "I love you so much!" WHAT? OMG I can't even with this... They were in lust, lust is NOT love!!!

I'm so sick of these spineless, complacent women who act like complete bubble heads over hot guys. Then it's insta-lust... cause it's not love!

Just stop it!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

What would you do if you were forced into a life that you never wanted? What if you knew about this life since birth but thought you would never get dragged into it what would you do? These are the problems Joanna (Jo) is having and now she has to live with what comes next. When Jo's father racks up a gambling debt that he can't pay with a rival family Jo agrees to work off her debt. She is there to serve the drinks and look pretty but that is all until the day she meets Greyson. There is just something about that man that is like a magnet to her constantly drawing her in. She is warned away from him but everyone knows that it is a lost cause because what Greyson wants Greyson gets.

There is something about her that Greyson can't get out of his mind. He figures she will be like all the rest one and done. However once he has her all he wants is more. When he finds out who she is and why she was working in that club that night being around her means something completely different. However one bad call changes everything for both of them in ways they never imagined.

This book is amazing it keeps you hooked on this book from the first word to the very end. These characters are battling a lot in this book. From the need for love but the lack of confidence that it is really for them, to the desires that they have for their own lives and what that will mean for others. I think that this book is better than just an escape. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Omg!! This book is..is I can't even find the words to describe how riveting and terrorizing at the same time. The intensity of each character is remarkably unique. Dam, and I swear to God I thought I was going to break my kindle from squeezing it so tight. If there had been the old Twilight Zone music playing in the background it would of been something cause the intensity keeps building and building!!!

He's a monster and she's his prey.

Joanna O'Brien, college student and daughter to one of the town's mobsters, is having to work off her father's debt by being eye candy to a rival mobster at a poker game. She never expected to watch someone get whipped and beaten that night, nor did she expect to get captivated and lusting for the man being tortured. After that night she's now deeper than ever tied to him..

Grayson Fitzgerald, mobster and the man getting tortured that night. He never expected to lock eyes with her and be frozen in time. He could take the beating his father had ordered for his defiance, he was the son of James Fitzpatrick. Mob Prince to the Irish American Empire after all. He wanted her, No, he was going to have her, he was going to make her scream..his..name. He's a monster, or so they say,

Their families will collide, both used as pawns, in a game that will test all their lives.

Betrayal, Power, and Lust set's the stage for an exciting story.

I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review.
