"in that moment, it felt like his soul spoke to mine, that it reached out and coiled around my own..Together we could do anything, be anything and take on the entire world."

Life is never plain sailing, and storms brew in the distance and the onslaught leaves devastation in its wake but sometimes you just have to learn to dance in the rain. Can Ash learn from his past mistakes or will the ghosts in his past continue to rule his future, controlling his actions and tainting his view of himself? Struggling to fully move past his fears Ash has buried himself in becoming a success, suffocating his insecurities by being busy. Swamped in his gym and business deals he feels incomplete and like something just isn't finished. Trying to work through the doubts plaguing him Ash does what he does best - runs head first into battle without any thought for the consequences.

Ren knows something is bothering her man, so deeply connected to him and his beast she feels when he is off kilter. Warring between trying to help him and protect her own heart, Ash strikes a chord within Ren making her vulnerability feel raw and exposed. Fight or flight? Ren has some of her own demons to fight and their two damaged psyches obey feel whole when they are together but can the stubborn pair realise this before its too late? Rage. Heart. Rebirth. Do our favourite couple from The Beat and The Pulse win their happily ever after? Blood, pain and rage. Love, acceptance, and the truth. Will Ren and Ash win this final battle?

I love this series with all its fantastic characters, all with their own hang ups and poignant life stories. It's great to catch up and read what happens next and to see its not always the happily ever after they deserve but their journey continues with hardship, battles to be fought, won and lost. I loved it.

A five star punch to the face read!

I knew Ren and Ash’s journey to their happily ever after was going to be a tumultuous one because their entire relationship has been a battle of wills - each one wanting to dominate and unhinge the other one, but I didn’t expect them to self destruct with minimal interference from others.

Ren and Ash have both fought their personal demons, and they seemed to have overcome them, working together to support and encourage each other regardless of the set backs or frustrations that came along the way. Through all of the hardships and tests Ren and Ash have been through, their desire and love for each other has only evolved, but when Ash, once again, deals with his issues of abandonment and unworthiness alone, not allowing Ren to help or even know what’s going on in his head, the old wounds and worries rear their head again, forcing both of their volatile feelings to spike and leading them down a path that they may not be able to come back from unless Ash once and for all allows Ren completely in and Ren finally stops running away and starts fighting for her man.

I’ve truly loved witnessing Ren and Ash’s relationship from the very beginning. There’s no one else that can give each other what they need, but there’s also a lot of obstacles to get past in order for them to have a fighting chance at making things work. Amity Cross allowed readers an insider’s look at the darkness within both Ren and Ash and how their easily provoked feelings could either be their saving grace or end up ruining any hope of being together. Both of them are fighters, which is clearly shown in their tenacity and work ethic, but Ren and Ash have short fuses and when things go down that they don’t have control over, it’s hard to determine how they will act and what those actions will mean for them when the dust settles.

Spike brings Ren and Ash’s story to a conclusion that readers will be satisfied with because Cross ensures that their ending still holds true to who Ren and Ash are at their core, which means that passion and all consuming sexual encounters dominate how they show each other how they feel and fierce fighting is how they work out their frustrations.

Oh yeah they are back! Ren and Ash. BOOM! But let me tell you I thought I was going to have to go find Amity and join her characters holding her hostage because uh hell to the no. I might still go just to say “don’t do that again.” ….

Ren and Ash are in the midst of finishing the perfect apartment above Pulse. After six months the business was going through the roof yet our man Ash isn’t satisfied. Something is missing and whats missing is a ring on Ren’s finger. Is it that easy …. Of course not. Insert here emotions of hell, fury and oh shit you are kidding me. Are you kidding me? Really?

We also have the pleasure of getting a little more of Josie, Hamish, Seth, a touch of Violet, Cole and Ryan which makes me sooooo happy! I cant wait to get books about all of these folks. HINT! HINT!

But the big kicker – Caleb Carmichael – go away! Caleb has been hired by Ren’s father as the new manager of Beat. Andrew Miller (Ren’s dad) and Caleb’s father were rivals back in the day. Caleb used to be a pro boxer but had suffered one blow too many and now was out; not allowed to fight again. Beat was his new home.

That’s it – that’s all you are getting. Oh and … you wont believe who shows up in Chapter Ten. If you think your heart was broken for Ash Fuller before you haven’t seen or heard anything yet. Good luck not throwing your reader. In fact put some duct tape around it and attach it to your person so when you do go to chunk it across the room it sticks to you instead because you are going to want to finish #3.5.

Amity you blow me away. Not only was this a fantastic addition but we also are gifted a look at her new adventure “L is for Luminous.” I will be getting my hands on this book in January; you can bet on it.

I received an ARC for an honest review. Review to post on Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets. Thank you once again Amity for a brilliant story and the honor of being one of the first to have my head in the pages!

Ahhhhhhh Ash Fuller is back in all his alpha male stroppiness with his animalistic sex and his beautifully dirty mouth. I loved getting to see more of the Ash we fell in love with in Beat after seeing his softer side in the last book and the author didn't disappoint in throwing us back into the angst of Ash & Ren's relationship. And the hot hot animal sex was off the scale too.

Ash and Ren are moving on with their relationship and tentatively taking the step into living together in the apartment that Ash has lovingly built for them but as with all relationships the next step is often a very shaky one. I loved that this episode wasn't all hearts and flowers as that just isn't Ash & Ren. So while I hated what they went through to get to a happy place I loved the journey they took to get there.

Poor Ash is having doubts about his ability to make Ren happy and he feels he has to face his past to be able to move forward, the stupid stupid man. At the same time a newcomer is making eyes at Ren just as the wobble in their relationship hits adding to the unrest Ash is causing. Poor Ren I really felt for her and wanted to clip Ash about the head, even when he had the chance to tell her his problem I felt he let her blame herself, such a bonehead. The result is a complete unravelling of everything they have built together and the fight of their lives to rebuild it again. However when the cards are down, Ren steps up and shows Ash why they are so right for one another I just loved the ending I really want to say the best ever ??????? in a book but I really don't want to spoil anything so I'll leave you guessing but I was just laughing out loud.

It was great getting glimpses of the other characters in this series and Amity has cleverly paved the way into the next book. Spike pretty much brings Ash& Ren's story to a conclusion but I'm sure we'll see more from them in the planned books. A brilliant addition to the series, that I am totally hooked on, and I am really looking forward to the next book.

4 Stars!

"When we fought, it would be bitter, but when we made love, it would be explosive. All or nothing."

Man, I have missed Ash Fuller! There's nothing like getting reacquainted with this hot and sexy piece of man candy! I loved that he was just as much of an alpha male as I had remembered and that his mouth is just as dirty! The love and overprotectiveness that he has for Ren is sooo incredibly hot! I also really liked that we got to see a bit of the fighter side of him again. As always, Amity Cross did not disappoint with the sexiness and drama that Spike entailed. Even though it was a shorter story then the others from this series, nothing was left out! I really enjoyed this story, and I loved that Ren still had as much of a hold on Ash when it came to his heart. When he needed her the most, she always knew how to get through.

“You’re the only one who has ever brought me back.”

I absolutely loved reading this continuation to Ash and Ren's story, and I can't wait to see what will come next from Amity Cross!

Book Review - Spike by Amity Cross - 5 True Love never comes easily stars

Leaving Ren and Ash together earlier on in the series, you wonder what else we can do with our couple, but Amity shakes us right up, by having something small rip the flooring from underneath our favourite fighters. The thought of forever, rips the sure footing from underneath both, and has them both reeling on the ropes.

Having just finished this novella, I was bouncing around where to rate it, as not a lot actually happens. Saying that, it’s so raw and real, and shows just how sometimes life isn’t perfect, the people we are with and ourselves are sometimes lacking, that I really couldn’t give it any less than 5.

Amity is a master puppeteer with our emotions and I feel every bit as battered and bruised as our couple after reading it.

Short and to the point, this review and the book. It’s a must read for fans of the series.

description

There seems to be some trouble in paradise and old habits die hard for our dynamic duo. Ash has everything he could possibly as for including his glue, Ren. Except there is is something missing and something doesn't feel right. BUT instead of talking to Ren about it and trying to figure it out together, he reverts to his old ways and tried to take care of alone.

"The thing about Ash Fuller was that on the surface, he was this simple guy with his muscles and high-flying business, but underneath, there was layer after layer of complexities, and even I hadn't explored all of them yet."

Ren doesn't know what is happening and doesn't know how to fix it. She thought everything was good until it's not and secrets could be what breaks them for good. She doesn't know how to be what Ash needs and reverts to what she knows, fighting.

"Ash had been the glue that had stuck my broken, jagged pieces together."

This was a quick story that had a lot of emotions and held the same kind of intensity that their first story had. I'm glad this story was not told through the stories of the others. Ash and Ren have a lot a personality and their story has a life of it's own. I can't wait for more from this series because there are people that have stories I need to read.

More Ren & Ash? Hell yeah!!!!!

Ash has created a successful business. Pulse is going from strength to strength but something inside him craves more. Ren’s life has come together, she has never been more settled – her relationship with her dad is good and she has a man she truly loves in Ash. The one thing that can really jeopardise what they have is secrets!

Ash is struggling to move on from his past and an attempt to lay his ghosts to rest goes wrong leaving things spiralling out of control. Both of them are stubborn and really needed there heads bashing together but I honestly felt at one point that it was all going to go wrong beyond the point of no return.

This is another great instalment in this series and a great way to end Ren and Ash’s story although I am sure that we will see them again in the other books of the series. I love how Amity writes her characters, they are so believable and it feels like returning to visit old friends. This series is fantastic and one I would recommend

More Ren and Ash - Yes please !
I can't get enough of this intense couple, they are one of my favourite book couples. I love that Ren doesn't do bullshit, her up bringing won't allow her to and Ash - omg how I love Ash and this book has cemented my love for this sexy fighter.
When we left Ren and Ash at the end of Pulse their relationship was pretty solid only one thing has the potential to break them apart and that's keeping secrets. Ash feels something is missing within their relationship, but before he can move on he decides to lay the past to rest but he doesn't come away with the outcome he wanted. Ash's life spirals out of control and he doesn't know if he can fight to get it back .
Loved reading another book featuring Ren and Ash it's like returning to old friends but this time they needed their heads knocking together. It was the perfect ending to their story although I'm hoping they will pop up in Hamish's and Dean's books.
A great book, that's very well written - highly recommend !

Review of Spike (The Beat and Pulse #3.5) by Amity Cross

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 out of 5 stars

Ren and Ash are back again in this latest installment of The Beat and The Pulse series.

Moving along in their relationship, Ash and Ren are ready to start the next chapter. Ash has built himself a successful fitness gym and he has also included a fabulous apartment for him and Ren to live in.

Ren suspects something is wrong when Ash suddenly starts to appear distant. Her number one rule for their relationship is honesty. Unfortunately Ash seems to be failing at this rule.

Ash still has major doubts as to whether he deserves Ren. He absolutely loves her but is afraid that he isn’t good enough for her.

When Ash confronts his past, everything falls apart quickly. It is a race against time for Ren to save Ash from himself.

I love this couple! It was great to read more about them and I enjoyed this book. The roller coaster of emotions has me not wanting to put it down.

I definitely recommend this book and the entire series.

Ren and Ash are back! Life seems to be going well for them as Pulse goes from strength to strength and they finally move into their apartment above the gym.

Ash's insecurities rear their ugly head and have the potential to drive them apart. With his past, all he really wants is a family he can call his own with Ren. Underneath his strong, confident persona is a man desperate for acceptance and love, who believes he is unlovable and just like his monster of a dad.

Ren has her work cut out for her to prove that he is loved and worthy in her eyes. Throughout this you get to see how crucial communication is in making a relationship work and what happens when it breaks down.

Another really great instalment of Ren and Ash's developing relationship with the MMA aspects that make this stand out in the crowd. Amity has created a world and characters that I want to see more of.

I received a complimenty copy of this book through Crazy Cajun Book Addicts for an honest review.
Spike is a short read but I loved reading more about Ash and Ren.

Ash and Ren are back they are in love, have opened Pulse and are getting ready to move in together all is good or is it? Ash knows that keeping secrets from Ren is a major deal breaker for their relationship but Ash just doesn't know how to tell Ren his problems so he pushes her away but is he making the biggest mistake of his life, is their love for each other strong enough to pull them through?
Amity Cross just knows how to pull you in with her fabulous characters this book may only be a novella but it definitely packs a punch and hooks you from page one. It did fetch a tear to my eyes too there are so many things Ren and Ash have to go through if they have any chance at a HEA.

Of course I read this in one sitting as I have done with all of Amity Cross's books. She has this way of sucking you in right from the start and keeping you right in there until the end!
I love the main characters Ash and Ren in this series, I actually feel like they're my friends haha!! There was a few times in this book where I got those nervous butterflies in fear that it was all going to go pear shaped. Why does being stubborn cause so many problems? I could have shouted at the pair of them to sort themselves out. This is a couple I could never get tired of reading about. I am so very much looking forward to Amity's next book, which I will one click without hesitating! 5 stars from me!!

Ren and Ash, finally!!!
I thought that I was at last going to get my favourite guys exactly where they needed to be, after all they were taking huge strides but were they in the right direction?
I whipped through this one desperate to see where this warring couple would take not only me but them.
Together they have spent much of their time on what I can only say looks to have been a collision course rather than a path to happiness but sometimes the strength to survive needs to be challenged and Ren and Ash were certainly a challenge, to each other!
They are both complicated characters, they have a slew of issues that would have sunk even the strongest of individuals and they have done their best to try to work through them. But despite the support that they can give each other, the past still hangs heavy around their necks, especially Ash.
When he cuts Ren out, in a foolish attempt to tackle his issues again on his own, he is opening a can of worms that the two of them may find impossible to put a lid on. Because just when they were beginning to face the world as a couple (ish), the love and time that she had so willingly invested in their relationship began to feel as if it was being thrown away. Ren cannot accept secrets and Ash is treading on very thin ice, no matter how honourable his reasoning.
This pair are hard work, they are so complicated but they make things worse at times by living so far in their own heads that I really didn’t believe that they were ever going to be able to bring the real them to the surface. Until Ash could open his heart and mind to Ren, I was beginning to believe that they were only heaping more heartache on an already volatile situation.
I liked the fact that the author gave such strong voices to both Ash and Ren that she allowed them to time to almost wallow in their misery before allocating them enough obstacles with which they would have no option but to carve a path out in order to survive.
She made them work not only for each other but for themselves, to understand that they were enough individually, but together they could be phenomenal.
From the very beginning their relationship has been completely captivating, because it was one that I didn’t know whether they had the fortitude to survive. They had the need and the desire but sometimes that just isn’t enough.
They completed each other, they seem to be on this earth for nothing other than to save each other but they both live their lives on what is effectively a short leash and with an explosive temperament.
But Amity Cross gives them a story that they not only need but deserve and one which as a reader I was happy to read.
She lets them revel in the passion that they share all the while piecing them together bit by bit. She and they fight for a future that they can both work with and that I as a reader could believe.
I liked Rena and Ash, firstly because they were honest, they didn’t sugar coat issues their issues, they showed how hard it is to live life the way they do, with a cloud of darkness, refusing to allow illumination, no matter how hard you try to shift it, but in just a few short pages, the author permitted and encouraged them to slowly peel back the curtains of darkness and not only let the light into their lives but to let each other in too.
This is a battle of wills and a fight for not only survival but for a future.
A story not to be missed.

Spike( #3.5 the pulse and the beat)
By Amity Cross.

Spike is the fourth book in the series The Beat and the pulse. Throughout the series you meet a group of people that are quite different than what you expect.

Ren Miller is a girl that has gone through so much heart ache. More than a girl should go through. Her boyfriend Ash has been a part of that heart ache before but when they promised each other no more secrets she believed him. When he brings up marriage and she laughs it off everything changes. He becomes distant and she doesn't understand why. Why did she have to laugh off marriage? Is that what is wrong with him?

Ash Fuller has his fair share of problems. Even though he has opened and ran his own fight studio for about six months along with his girlfriend he feels like he has something to prove. Especially after she laughs off his idea of marriage. When he passes a window a few days later he makes an impulse buy and it's perfect. He gets the wild notion that he needs to see his parents. The very same that left him and his sister years before. Why does he need to see them? Why does he need proof he is nothing like his father? He is t sure but he knows something is missing. When he doesn't tell Ren he risks losing everything.

Will this secret be the end of them? Will someone move in on his girl? Can he come back from the edge of she leaves? What happens when he steps back underground? Does the beast run free or can be prove to himself he isn't his father.

Amity Cross is a new find for me and I have to say I was engrossed I. This series. I don't normally enjoy fighter romances the way I did this one. I devoured this series the way Ren and Ash devour opponents. The love and heartache of these people makes for a beautifully painful story that is real. Written for. Different character points of view you get the full story. Well Done Amity Cross.

It was good to revisit Ash and Ren, to see them in a place where they are happy, and the ugliness of the past is behind them. But as much as I was glad to see them again I hated the direction their relationship went. They eventually got back on track, but their drama seemed repetitive and unnecessary.

Ash is ready to take things to the next level and when he mentions marriage Ren dismissing that idea. She didn’t consider the feeling of abandonment that his parents actions may have caused. Ren had always been the voice of reason in their relationship, but this was not a reasonable reaction to the man she loves and is the catalyst for the events that followed.

Spike is the ending to Ash and Ren’s story. Yes, it ends in an HEA but it took a road with many twists and turns to get there. Although I am not a fan of this book specifically, I am a fan of the series and would recommend reading it. I can’t wait to read Hamish’s story in Amity’s next release Flow.

“Turning my head, my lips searched for his and when they met, he kissed me slow and hard, our tongues massaging against one another in a contented dance as our orgasms began to fade.”

5 Ren and Ash stars!!! I love this couple so much and while this story was heartbreaking at certain points, it was also super hot as Ren and Ash always are!

Renee “Ren" Miller finally has everything she ever dreamed of.
For the first time in her life, everything is perfect and she doesn’t want to change a thing.
Ash “Maverick” Fuller can’t help but feel that something is missing from his life, even with the woman he loves by his side.
His business is flourishing, his woman is content and he should be happy too right? Wrong.
Ren can sense something isn’t right and tries to reach out. Secrets are a deal breaker and if she can’t get through to him, it might just be thing that tears their perfect little world apart.
Ash would do anything to protect her from harm, but sometimes even the people you love the most have secrets and shame that they want to bury forever.
This time, trust mightn’t be enough.

I can’t stress how much I love Ren and Ash!!! I fell in love with them in the first two books and I love them even more after reading this book!! I loved the ending and I loved that everything was still as steamy as they were in the other books! I won’t give anything away with this review, but if you loved them in the first two books, you’ll love them in this one as well! This has to be one of my favorite series to date!!!

This is book 3.5 in the Beat & Pulse series and must be read after Beat and Pulse otherwise you will certainly be lost. While it is a novella it packs a punch in the abbreviated amount of pages. As we know Ren and Ash are ready to move in together and happily running Pulse and both vowed the only thing that will keep them apart are secrets.

Ren Fuller has never felt so content in her life. She is finally in a good place with her father and she and Ash are truly in love and looking to move in together. Pulse is doing well and everything else seems to be on the upward swing so why now does something have to happen with Ash...

Ash should be the happiest person in the world with everything in his life going right for once. The only problem is Ash still has the unsettled feeling of wanting to get closure from the demons in his past so he can truly be happy with Ren. Ash knows he can't keep secrets from Ren but unless he figures out all this drama on his own he will be of no use to her anyway so he goes for broke and puts everything on the line.

With Ash risking everything he and Ren worked so hard to put back together how will Ren ever understand if he gets caught in yet another one of his lies? Love this series and this author and can't wait for the next installment :)

Renee Miller was feeling on top of the world. She was back with her love and soul mate Ashley Fuller. This was the next book in The Beat and The Pulse series. The Beat is the boxing gym Renee's father owned and Pulse was the one Ash had built and started his own gym and teaching fighting to his clients. Ash surprised Ren with an apartment he had built for them above the gym. Ren worked for her father and was leaving there and coming to Pulse to work with Ash. Ren also was known for her fighting ability. Her father was her trainer. When Ash surprised Ren with the apartment he wanted her to move in with him. He even suggested someday they might get married. Ren told him she didn't need any paper to know she loved him. Ash still fought some darkness in his past that he couldn't share with Ren and she went back to him thinking they would always be honest with each other. When something happens to turn Ash's world upside down he doesn't want to share and that causes Ren to leave him. Now what? The story is quite good but it does contain profanity and a lot of sex. This book isn't for all

This series freakin ROCKS! I love how Amity Cross is giving us a look at what Ren and Ash are up to now.

Ash has opened Pulse and after 6 months it's doing very well. He and Ren are finishing up their perfect above it. Everything is going great, but he feels like something is missing. He wants to marry Ren, but she's being stubborn about it. She senses something isn't right with Ash, but he won't talk to her about it. Since secrets are a deal breaker for her, will Ash confess what's going on with him before it's too late?

Once again, the author has knocked another one out of the park. Her characters never have an easy time of it, so it makes them extremely relatable. The storyline is very well done, and flows perfectly. As usual, the sexy scenes are off the charts HOT, and never boring. This series is highly addicting, and I'm not sure I'll ever get enough of it. I will be stalking the author to watch for the next books, as they can't come quickly enough to suit me. Do yourself a huge solid and read this series from the brilliantly diabolical mind of Amity Cross because you won't be sorry!

It is another amazing rollercoaster ride in the Ren and Ash train. This two characters emotions are so raw that they tear you appart. They are so pationate about one another that it get the best of them, and blinds them and makes them make rash and rushed decisions.

We left Ash and Ren building their own gym. We find them here with a thriving business and making transitions in their lives. Suddenly Ash wants more and Ren's reaction to what he asks of her is not what he expected. Ash needs to make peace with his past. And a new threat presents itself in the form of Beat's new manager Cole.

Will Ash and Ren's love be that of the kind that conquers all? You have to get this amazing book by the grat Australian writer Amity Cross. I think there has't been a book where her amazing gusto to bring the best and worst in her characters has been missing. This book is not the exception. Love the way she guided this story from the begining, if it is the culmiation of this couple's story, I can tell you there are more stories in this series coming soon and I can hardly wait to get a hold of them.

Book Review For(Spike)By Amity Cross. The love of Ren and Ash is tested yet again. Ash's feels the next step for them is the biggest yet. Their love is like a dream that we all have had that we would fine that someone special that would blow our minds with that special feelings called love and to Ash that is what their have, the feels that they can over come anything in their way. Their relationship is encouraging each other to succeed and never losing faith in each other and trust . Ren and Ash balance each perfectly. As I'm reading this great story am sitting on the edge of my seat right from the start to the finish ,wishing there was more . The emotions in this story will have feeling like you should be crying along with this couple , laughing with them, and hurting when they hurt and feel the love they felt for each other ,all these emotions will leave you raw with passion and love the same way this couple felt in this story. I high recommend you read this story for yourself you won't be disappointed one bit.

I received a ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review.
5* read.
I love love love this series so much so I couldn't wait to read this as I've fallen in love with Ren and Ash. Two really complicated characters who have a lot of baggage and difficult pasts and together they are a real intense couple but I loved that about them. As usual with these two they go through so ups and downs and bad points in this book and it does break your heart at times. I defiantly shouted at my kindle a few times but their ups and downs were worth it and made this story much better for it. You realise that in a relationship you sometimes have to fight hard for that one person. They go through so much together as a couple that as a reader you really invest in their relationship.
Reason this novella was a 5* for me was for Ren and Ash's whole story altogether and the fact that this author took this story to another level yet again. A short read pact full of drama and brilliant writing. Cant wait for more from this author.

Spike by Amity Cross is a novella length book (#3.5) in her series, The Beat and the Pulse.

We are back with Ash and Ren. This shorter length story examines their relationship when it is supposed to be at it's best. Secrets broke them apart in book 1 and nearly did so again in book 2 - but despite all the many ways they have been tested, they have learned that secrets hurt and they won't have any between them. That is, until they do. Ash is keeping something from Ren - she can just sense it - and when he won't spill what it is her reaction may break them both.

Curl up with a glass of wine or something for this one as it's quick, and dirty, and will steamroll all over your emotions. Has a happily ever after ending, but the journey there is rough.

Spike is a novella set in the Beat and the Pulse series. It focuses on Ren and Ash and just gives us a little glimpse into more of their life outside of their books. Ren and Ash are going well and things in life are just about perfect, so what could go wrong? Just a little bit of everything. Ash finds himself at a loss for how to handle a particular thing, and in trying to work it out starts to push Ren away again, which she obviously isn't going for. Together they must figure out how to smooth over these new bumps in the road or risk their love forever.

Spike hit you from many angles, while being a shorter story, you really were sucked in and it packed the same power as a full length novel does. You felt the characters pain, and wanted to cry for and with them. It was a beautiful addition that showed just how strong Ren and Ash could be and how they stick through thick and thin when it really comes down to it.

Le sigh. I love Ren and Ash. Though Amity had me on pins and needles reading this novella. You know what I found funny.. While sitting here and being mad at Ash, it never once crossed my mind she was being a hypocrite. I don't know if that says something about my character or about the storyline, maybe even the author. When Ren realized it, it kind of smacked me in the face.

Though I feel like I do have to admit, Ren makes me wanna learn how to fight. She's so bad ass. I want to be strong like that- physically and emotionally. I wanna be able to hold my own like that. It's oddly inspirational for me, at this point in my life.

And in typical Ren and Ash, when there's a fight, there's a fight. Dear lord does Amity know how to write those fight scenes. They're so .... Intense. And, I love it.
