Everything about this book moves you. From the character, to the plot, to the setting (especially if you recognize the landmarks). I have the privilege of being the authors daughter so I have the privilege of hearing the sincere voice and tone woven throughout this entire novel in an entirely different way, but even without this it is an experience to cherish. I love this book and I highly recommend it.
Had the privilege of reading it before its publication. I heard the author's voice, compassion, and values throughout. With captivating descriptions of both the social and physical settings, we follow Aadi's journey out of her unfortunate nurture into her true nature. I plowed through this novel, not only because I know the author, but also because her picture-painting and evoke-the-feels style kept me in the moments.
