Dirty Bad #4

Dirty Bad Secrets

Rate this book
It’s been three years since I set foot in Club Explicit, and three long years since I set eyes on Andy Morgan.
He doesn’t want me here, doesn’t want to know me, doesn’t want to even hear my name.
But I’m back on his doorstep, in his office, in his life… with a suitcase full of dirty bad secrets.

Faye Devere is out to claim her old life back. Three years in Italy have come at a heavy price, and she’s running back to the only anchor she has left: her fifty-fifty share of Club Explicit, and the man she left to pick up her pieces.
But Andy Morgan’s long over it. Long over her.
Club Explicit is his baby now. His club, his rules, his way.
Andy’s not a man who shares easily. And certainly not with the woman who upped and left without so much as a goodbye.

When your battlefield is London’s horniest playground, and sex is the sole weapon left in your arsenal, it’s only a matter of time before the fight gets dirty… and the secrets get dirty bad.

WARNING: As is always the case with Jade West novels, please proceed with caution. The book contains hardcore BDSM and sexual practices that may offend some readers. Please use your own discretion. Most definitely 18+ on

Jade has increasingly little to say about herself as time goes on, other than the fact she is an author, but she’s plenty happy with this. Living in imaginary realities and having a legitimate excuse for it is really all she’s ever wanted.
Jade is as dirty as you’d expect from her novels, and talking smut makes her smile.
She lives in the Herefordshire countryside with a couple of hounds and a guy who’s able to cope with her inherent weirdness.
She has a red living room, decorated with far more zebra print than most people could bear, and fights a constant battle with her addiction to Coca-Cola.

Genre: Erotica
Type: Standalone Book 4 of Dirty Bad series
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:

After three years of abandoning her club and business partner, Faye Devere came back from Italy to take back what hers. She wanted a fresh start, but after years of being away, things didn’t just fall in its place that easily.

Andrew Morgan was not a happy man. He was reluctant to share what he worked for all on his own. The thought of having Faye back both was both exciting and irritating. He was determined to teach her a lesson, while she craved to take control.

When you pick up a Dirty Bad book, you know it will be dirty and it will be bad and you’d probably want to hide the fact you’re reading one lol! And this book is definitely the dirtiest and the baddest one so far.

Faye fucking Devere was a livewire of pure fucking filth. And I wanted her. Even the bits of her that drove me to fucking despair.

I like Faye a lot – most of the time. I like how vivacious she was, and yes, how dirty she was. She was also creative and a visionary. However I didn’t like it when she acted like she was entitled and when she was being too pushy.

What I like the most about Andy was how brooding he was. He was dominant but it only simmered until situation needed him to be. I love delving into his conflicting emotions when he faced circumstances beyond his usual method.

“I make decisions, I take charge, I boss people around, that’s who I fucking am!”

I like both of their explosive personalities. When they were together, they were intense emotionally and sexually.

I unravelled the telephone cable and doubled it, wrapping one end around my hand. I tested it through the air and it made a savage whirring noise.

The sexual deviations in this one were quite high in the distressing level. There were the usual “dirtiness” but kicked up a notched and paired with some other vicious/disturbing acts. If you are squeamish or have a low tolerance for such things, you better stay away from this one haha!

What I really love about this series is how each book was unique. Every single one has different type of stories and situations, spoiling the readers with varieties of kinky fuckery to fit any perverted curious minds :p

Hmmmm What to say ....
So unfortunately this book didn't work for me, I'm disappointed because I really had fun ready the first 3 books in this series and was super excited for this one.
As in the previous books Jade writing was great and it was plenty dirty. I did find Dirty Bad Secrets was more brutal than her previous books.
I have to admit that while reading DBS I wasn't as chocked as the previous books. ( I don't know what that says about me, because it was pretty hardcore BDSM) Expect for the scene with The Mask, I don't think I will ever get use to reading a scene like that!
The story could have been really great but I couldn't connected with the heroine Faye, she ruined the book for me. Faye was so dramatic, selfish and annoying, I don't know how many times I eye roll at her antics!!!

Now Andy, thank god for Andy!!! He made the book tolerable ! He deserves much better than Faye .
The book itself wasn't bad I'm sure lots of people will enjoy reading but for me it just didn't enjoy it as much as the previous books. :(

I'm uneasy about this one.

What I liked…
*Edgy, ‘dirty', inventive sex scenes
*Writing was good
*Vivid dialogues

What I didn’t like…
*Silly plot
*Romance blossomed…now where did that come from!
*Hated the leading female, I found her annoying

It didn't really tick the boxes for me.

Faye Devere is a free spirited sexual woman who has a tendency to run when things in her life get complicated. Three years ago, she opened Club Explicit with her good friend, Andy Morgan. With Andy being methodical and a backbone of strength, their personalities seemed to compliment their business partnership. However, for her own reasons, and shortly after opening the club, Faye fled to Italy leaving Andy high and dry. Faye’s time away proved to be darker than expected but during this time, she discovered her limits as a submissive and her needs to be recognized as an equal in her relationships.

“I want a dominant man who knows when to kneel. A man who leads, but knows when to follow. A man who can punish me, and use me, and make me fall apart for him, but knows how to do the same in return.”

As for Andy, let me just start by saying that Andy is one hot Dom in a posh suit!! He effortlessly exudes control and sex appeal! When Faye abandoned him and the club, Andy had no choice but to run things his way and all his dedication proved successful. It isn’t until just before the club’s four year anniversary, when Faye suddenly returns to London looking to resume her interest in the club. Needless to say, Andy is angry with Faye for shirking her duties and he is ready to punish her in such dirty bad ways. In case I didn’t make it crystal clear, angry Andy is hot a hell!

“I wanted to mark her, I wanted me on her, I wanted her body tainted with mine, branded permanently with my own dirty fucking need for this reckless, frivolous, delicate fucking creature.”

What ensues between Andy and Faye is a sexually charged push and pull dynamic since they are both hiding secrets and they are both angry at each other. As Faye tries to gain good graces with Andy, he is more than willing to make her earn every single step. But, Faye also has an agenda with Andy and she is not going to walk away from her deviant needs, provided Andy willingly agrees. The advantages made along the way are off the charts hot and deliciously dirty.

“I looked into his eyes and there was a whole playground of emotions there. Anger, and lust, and concern. But not disgust, and not the vaguest glimpse of hatred, not towards me.”

For me, this book has a darker tone due to Faye’s recent experiences and the narration is brilliantly weaved into her present. Additionally, the storytelling is quite compelling, and coupled with the kinky fuckery, this book offers a solid plot with vulnerable yet endearing characters. Andy will always be a special character for me because while he is rock solid and dependable, he is also willing to acquiesce to Faye’s fantasies and heartfelt wishes in an effort to strengthen their relationship. I also loved Andy’s humor and completely related to his anger. With Faye, I understood her need to be accepted as an equal but there were times when Faye needed a come-uppance.

As always with Jade West’s books, I quickly become entranced within the confines of her fictional world and this latest book is no different. Her dialogue never fails to engage me. Finally, the kinkery is dirty and deviant!! I highly recommend this book to those already familiar with Jade’s writing and to those who want to explore true kinky perversions!! ;D

Faye ran from her friend and business partner three years ago, and she hasn't been back since. Then things got too intense in her new life, so she comes back home to Andy, hoping that she can take back over their business and pick things up right where she left them. Andy isn't so welcoming though, and he want's nothing to do with her crazy business plans, or her. They finally come up with an arrangement and decide to leave it up to the fate of a coin toss. The winner will get what they want.

This series is so good if you're looking to go out of your comfort zone, and explore your inner slut. The acts that are described are a little deranged, and down right filthy. I love that the author doesn't hold back, instead she pushes your own limits, and I honestly have no idea how after four books she still manages to shock me.

With that being said, I just didn't feel the greatness of this story. The sex scenes were off the charts hot, and I loved them, but everything else got to be too much. Faye was my biggest problem, I really got annoyed at her character, and just wanted to slap her around. She was constantly acting like a crazy person, always yelling about something or crying about something else. I couldn't handle her and I honestly started to skim a lot of this book just so I didn't have to deal with her anymore. I think Andy actually described her perfectly at one point
"You're highly strung, Faye, the slightest thing and you're off like a rocket, dramatic and hysterical and so fucking annoying.

I wish I could say I liked this book more, but it really dragged for me and Faye's character made it hard for me to get into it. I'm definitely still a huge fan of this author, and will be reading more of her books in the future.

ARC kindly provided by the lovely Jade West in exchange for an honest review.

This is supposed to be the dirtier of them all and yes, it is! Eeep! So different yet as powerful as the previous ones! We get to finally meet the owners of Explicit! Andy & Faye are going to take you for a long, wild ride that will leave you craving more.
When Faye Devere returns from Italy after three years of absence, she will realize that she is no longer welcome at her own club. Andrew Morgan, her partner, has been running the club on his own and when she returns, he is not that happy to oblige her. Their relationship has always been professional but with Faye's return things change.
They will challenge each other, they will fight each other; they will play dirty. Faye has secrets and a wounded heart. Andy has been trying to forget that she left him and flew to another country. He has no faith in her and she will have to prove herself to him. She will need to convince him that she is back to stay; that she is back to run Explicit with him. How is she going to do that? You have to read and see.
The heroes will test your limits and they will challenge you.

'This is our way, Andy. This is our scene, at least start acting like it.'
'I know who I am, Faye.'
'I'm not sure...' She goaded. 'I think you've lost your touch...Are you scared, Andy? Scared you're out of practice? That I'll break you like a scared little girl? You're excited, aren't you?'

What a kickass heroine! I loved her even though I wanted to shake some sense into her. Truth is that she asked a LOT from Andy and we're talking about a man who could never be a true submissive man. You will see what I mean when you read this. Faye has a big secret and I have to say her secret has created a great villain in the story. I really hated the man who broke her.
Andy...Andy can easily compete with Masque. I cannot decide who I love more. He slowly rises to the top of my fave heroes for this series.

I looped the belt in two and held it in front of her face as she stared up at me with big dark eyes.
"Kiss it," I said. "Then you will say fucking please. Please, Andy, thank you for teaching me some manners."

He is intense, strong and very, very different from the other male characters in the books. He is willing to be pushed to his limits even if he does so with some impatience. I think the fans will love Andy. He is one of the strongest characters in the series.
The writing as always is fantastic! The author manages to capture emotions through the edgy sensuality that is always prominent in her books. I think this is one of the best books in the series and along with Dirty Bad Wrong, my favorite.
She has also created amazing secondary characters. Topaz, the reserved barmaid of Explicit, is one of the best secondary characters I've ever read. I really, really want to see her get her own story. Please, Ms. West???
Once again, this book is not for the faint of heart. If dirty, bad, wrong characters offend you, then stay away from this book. If you choose to dive in, expect a lot of twists and turns and characters that can give as good as they can get! Loved it.

Faye FMC

Faye is all over the fucking place.

Melodramatic..

description

Nuts...

description

Sadistic...

description

Entitled narcissistic bitch...

description

Crybaby who tries to force everyone to have a ticket to her pity party...

description

If not immediately given what she wants, she's a coward that runs and lashes out...

description

You get the point, the woman doesn't have a single redeeming quality. Nothing. Nada. Not to mention that a hardened badass wanna-b Dom doesn't typically cry a dozen times in a book.

I and me are the only words Faye knows.

Of her man, she demands:

"Humility. Devotion. Submission. Truth. Loyalty. Equality. Real equality." "I want a dominant man who knows when to kneel. A man who leads, but knows when to follow. A man who can punish me, and use me, and make me fall apart for him, but knows how to do the same in return. Only when I need him to, of course. It's about the sentiment rather than the routine.

Allow me to translate:

description

She's wants a man who has the balls to hurt her and the dick to fuck her when she wants it...

BUT,

He must be willing to roll over to play a submissive mindless drone while she shoves giant dildos up his ass and licks up the mess. Oh, and if he truly loves her he will be compliant in eating his own shit from her mouth.

Good luck, bitch. Sometimes you just gotta choose if you want cake or steak and then just stay the fuck outta the sewer.

She complains...

He's the one who always wants everything on his own terms, not me.

^^ Really? Cause MMC let's her beat him to a bloody mess, gag him till he a puddle of slobber, bite him, shove dildos down his throat, humiliate and degrade him, have him fuck an employee while he's tied down, etc etc etc. Oh, no she's pissed because he didn't want it all and didn't fully commit on some higher plane of psychobabble BS brainwashing. I don't see him making, demanding a fucking thing from her other than to just not run away.

Bitch. You. Are. Nuts.

She demands equality and respect while she's a quitter, a runner, a coward..

I'd quit everything I'd ever started..... bailing out as soon as life didn't live up to the pretty Faye dream."

Meanwhile @56% ...She moans that she wanted the same qualities of the long-time lover she left just THREE WEEKS AGO and would still be with him if he'd have given her what she needed.

Way to make the FMC/MMC something unique, special.

She says this about the MMC r/t the prospect of her former lover coming to take her..

"He (the MMC) means something. Just not enough."

"He (the MMC) will never hold up to Vincent."

Yet, by 80%, she's always loved the MMC and just wants him to want her to stick a giant dildo up his ass and they can live HEA.

At least she knows she's batshit nuts...

"I should forget about the pair of them and get myself some therapy.

Smart parents, though..

"My parents call me Princess Drama.

The constant pity party and poor me routine being dialed against the evil psychotic bitch routine {on a fucking never ending loop} is just too much for me to appreciate.

Award for most annoying, degenerate FMC ever.

MMC

Control freak with no filter on his mouth & highly pissed off that the FMC up and left him & their business for three years to play sex slave to Vincent before coming back DEMANDING equality.

He indulges her somewhat, but his bottom line is..

Her: "I want more. I want equality!"
Him: "So fucking earn it. Be an equal. Equal in effort. Equal in contribution."

"You are so fuckjng dramatic, Faye. Pull yourself down from the ceiling and stop all the stupid fucking flouncing."

At 80% he just suddenly decides to roll over and give her anything she wants, even though he doesn't want a motherfucking dildo up his ass.

"Tell me you want it?" "I want YOU.

Good enough for her. A crock of shit (literally) to me.

Plot

MMC and FMC - Simple: who can out-crazy who. Can she get a dildo up his ass. Can he get her to stop running.

FMC & Sadist/author/master - evil at its purest and all hail the queen of self-inflicted drama. The only thing this shit was good for was to show me hypocrisy is alive and well and the pupil doesn't fall far from the teacher's desk.

We have lots of flashbacks to Italy scenes that are unbelievable. I don't use that word lightly. But, I have a very difficult time believing that she endured this and held the broken submissive mindset THERE... Leaves as a hellcat with claws out... And just a few short weeks later is acting like she's the Dom. So, yeah, I'll call that unbelievable.

The deal breaker for her... The big climax of Italy - laughable. It's not what happened but that it wasn't free. CTFO.

Bottom Line

The initial sex was hot. Then sex became mostly about asses and shit & coercion to get someone to do something they really don't want to be doing. Ass to mouth is a no-go for me - Period. It's called hepatitis!

The plot is weak and climaxes are more like let downs.

The characters have NO redeeming qualities- none.

description

I should've stopped at book TWO.

* note: I have a friend who's sensitive to piss play, and there is a wet room scene here. If you're sensitive to anal, be aware that there is anal out the ass and ass to mouth.

What in the fucking fuck? I have never disliked an erotica this much and actually managed to finish it. My expectations were on the moon after loving the first three books in this series. Then I read Dirty Bad Secrets and all my expectations crashed and died painful deaths.

I HATED the main characters. Andy and Faye were petty, snippy, argumentative, stubborn assholes. I lost track of the number of times that they fought. Nasty comments, all out yelling, it was always such drama! It was fight, fuck, flashback. Again and again.

I suppose they deserved each other, but I could not root for them. I didn't give a shit what happened to either of them, I suppose in part because they never got enough development outside of the club. There was zero chemistry. The sex scenes were...creative? There was very little heat or tension. LOTS of butt stuff though.

Then there's the fact that these two people who started a sex club together, who are supposedly well versed in the BDSM game, DON'T USE A MOTHERFUCKING SAFEWORD. Even when one of them is gagged and unable to speak, they never set up a safeword or signal beforehand. I didn't need a reason to hate these characters any more, but there it was!

So, yeah. I'm so fucking done with this disappointment of a book.

3 STARS!

Jade West always give us new characters all the time so we're kinda starting from zero. We all know some sidekick in Club Explicit but we never have their story instead. That's okay. Dirty Bad Secrets was kinda different from others. This one is the darkest read from Dirty Bad series and it was surprised me, in good way.

Meet Faye Devere who came back to take back her business, Club Explicit. She left her business and her partner, Andy Morgan alone. But this man didn't give up easily. Faye determined to prove Andy that this time she's not gonna run and will take the business back. Of course, Andy isn't an easy man to please. He gave Faye hard times to 'kick' her out but their sexual tension just beginning and Andy determined to pull out her secret.

I kinda really liked the premise. I know what's Faye doing but I didn't know it was that crazy. I never know who Faye Devere is because her sudden appearance but as long as I know in this book, she's a switch. It looks like she's a former sub but she needs control and that's make her a switch? I don't know. Her three years was absolutely horrified me. No words. But it didn't give me a positive vibe about her. She's kinda bipolar. Faye is a fun and adventures woman in horny mode but she's annoyed the hell out of me when in bitchy mode. She love throwing tantrums knowing that she's the one who fucked it up the whole time.

Andy Morgan never dreamed to see Faye again and now she's taking back the business? Hell no! Andy was pissed. Me too. Andy is the only one who held my interest for this book despite Faye's childish attitude. He's the reasonable one. I know Andy is keeping Faye in his toes because what? He didn't really wanna let her go. Even he's investigate what happened with her for three years. There is no doubt that he still cares.

description

Let's talk about the sex scenes. Whew that was a lot, as always. It was kinky very much and dirty and filthy. The most shocking scene was . Yeah, that one. What a shocker and a turn off. Not my cuppa at all but I need to keep going on. So much interesting happened between their sexy times. They're switch once a week depends on coin toss and it was entertaining. BUT... I didn't know if Andy is a real switch or only for scene? Faye challenged him and break his limits. Sometimes they're too much and out-the-line. And not sexy. Oh, I didn't really buy their chemistry. Something just off. They're just getting back together and I need more develop feeling than sex all the times.

description

Overall, Dirty Bad Secrets was pleasant read. I was so thrilled for Faye's case until the end. Dark and disturbing. On the other side, I'm happy to see Club Explicit again. Faye and Andy is the perfect partner for the kinky club. They have the kinkily ever after. Filling each other positions.

Very enjoyable BR with Noah, Steelwhisper, Claire

Faye and Andy own and run a club. Not sure of it’s title, but other reviewers describe it as BDSM. For reasons I did not pick up, Faye leaves and heads for Italy, where she becomes a sub to Vincent. After a few years of blood – curdling shenanigans, she returns to Andy.

This is where the book begins.

Dirty Bad Secrets is a very fast paced book with a lot of energy. I don’t often read erotica, so I haven’t got much to compare it to, but the tit for tat relationship between Andy and Faye caused me a lot of merriment. They decide to mend their problems by having alternate weeks at being in control.

On a sidenote, I fancy a go at that :D

Anyway, they both get instantly excited by a jolly good thrashing and inordinate amounts of humiliation, which only makes them seek more emotional fulfilment. So, more slapping and so much burn it’s a wonder the house doesn’t go up in flames.
But sadly, all this skin abrasion does nothing to make them communicate better, and it probably plays havoc with their hair.
There is non-con and dub-con and there is wilful disregarding of limits. If there are safewords, I was far too bamboozled to notice. During one of her weeks as boss, Faye drags in another employee, who accepts Fays’s invitation to take advantage of Andy whilst he is gagged and bound.
I’m no expert, but this cannot surely be in the terms and conditions of many employment contracts.

However, I believe this is a sexy read if you like rough and tumble and can suspend your disbelief a little. Pretty much anything goes, and there is indeed dirty and bad.

In the end, they all get their come uppances, and hopefully after all that they can go to couple therapy and learn to enjoy less messy activities such as sand art.
There are no pretences here, the story aims to get you excited by giving you many forbidden fantasies.

What I really enjoyed is the novelty factor. It was good fun reading an unexpected book with people I have not BR’d with before. It makes me wonder why we don’t do it more often. So, if you have not BR with me before, please ask me and suggest any book you fancy. Life is here to be lived.
My thanks to Noah for setting up the read, and to Steelwhisper, Noah and Claire, for participating in this roller coaster ride. I look forward to more BR with you all, and I can’t wait to see your reviews :D

Holy Wowness, that was a hell of a wild ride!!!

I have loved every single Dirty Bad book in this series so far, each one has been different, and unique from the rest, and you never really know what you are going to read next, which is the exciting part!

This time we have Club Explicit as the main focus. It has always played a huge role in each of the books, as the characters can all be themselves, or find themselves in this club. Well this time we actually get to follow owner Andy Morgan. He has always remained the elusive owner, who hides out back in the office, not partaking in any club action or fun. But he worked constantly and lived for Explicit, so he's not too happy when his original partner shows up, after 3 years, wanting to step back in.

Faye Devere was a 50/50 partner with Andy when they started Club Explicit up. It was their baby, and something they started together. Yet Faye walked away 3 years ago, when the club was just starting and she didn't look back. She disappeared to Venice, to escape Andy, the man she wanted so much more from, than just a partner in the club.

With a huge amount of tension, and chemistry that could fry the kindle, this story was intense. Kinky Faye has a huge amount of secrets that she drags back with her from Venice, but all her secrets are slowly being revealed in books, and some are pretty shocking. Andy is now learning what happened to Faye during the 3 years she was gone, while he fought to keep Explicit the exciting venture it started out as.

Faye wants back her share of the club, and will do literally whatever it takes to get her foot wedged back in, she will do anything.

So begins a war of sorts, Faye to prove she deserves to be there, and Andy to prove she hasn't got what it takes. But their battlefield is the mother of all playgrounds, and what's the best way to fight it out? Literally! Epic, filthy scenes and dirty craziness all round when these two mean business. It was shocking, exciting and downright filthy. But it was incredibly addictive reading. I couldn't stop!

I had a morbid curiosity with the odd and twisted Vincent, I almost would've liked to have read more about Fayes 3 year stint in Venice. It definitely seemed it could of been a scary read if ever there was more to read, and I like the shocking reads. ;)

But I have to say, Dirty Bad Secrets is definitely a contender to push Dirty Bad Wrong off the top spot for best Dirty Bad book. I truly loved this story, and Faye and Andy were awesome characters. Their story was so intense, and hot, and completely thrilling. I even loved Topaz, the quirky barmaid. I thought she was a great secondary character, and would love to read a story of hers!

Amazing book, and this series just keeps getting better! It deserves far more than 5 stars!

oh well...I really don't know what I expected of this book BUT this simply left me feeling flat regarding the plot...
So, the story came short, the characters were simply void of complexity and they were trying to resolve their simplified issues with the heavy on set BDSM craft...it felt as if they were simply acting out, who will do more than who...it felt mechanic and it all relayed on the shock factor, the dirtier the better mode...but in this way it only amplified just that, the "dirtiness, the edgier than known...etc, etc...and after a while even the dirtiest uncomfortable and questionable sexual act becomes dull...

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

I first have to say I really liked the other books in this series. I was excited to get this book. If you've read the others you know Jade West has a way of pushing it in her books. BDSM written well but taken to a whole other level than most books along its lines. This book though......

I am disappointed. I'm sitting here thinking it took me forever to read this book and that never happens with me. I am a read that book till I'm finished kind of girl. Not with Dirty Bad Secrets. I literally thought I was going to be sick a time or twenty. There's a fine line apparently between love and hate and this book is a love it or hate it kind of read. You'll either love it or hate it. There's no middle ground. No that pushes my boundaries but I can handle it in this one. It's straight up angry and brutal and sickening. The things these two do to each other all in the name of pleasure is brutal.

Andy and Faye are not two characters in my opinion that you can swoon over. I liked neither one of them. Andy had his moments but Faye is just awful. There's no redeeming qualities about her at all. Nothing to like, no she'd make a great girl friend, no she's a strong character. She's winey and quiet frankly I questioned her sanity way to many times to count which in turn made me question Andy's. I think these two are better off had they never met one other but then again that would mean they'd have to find some other poor soul to agree to and enjoy the things they did.

I'm sorry I didn't like it at all. Perhaps some of you will but it was not my cup of tea. I'm no prude by any means but this is just disturbing on way to many levels Read the warning in the the front of the book and take it seriously.

I decided to create a new shelf for this author and authors like her. This sort of story and writing is absolutely, entirely and without question cringeworthy. I actually find it worse than anything I ever happened to read in Penthouse or the Playboy, and that already is lowering the level of quality for erotic content by a mile and then a considerable some.

If - at least - these hacks deigned to do a minimum of research, I might be mollified into a less scathing take, but all this is, is a mix (and mash it hard) of erotica penny dreadfuls of the worst and most unerotic kind. While showing off a very - errm - limited knowledge of such apparently unnecessary things as anatomy, psychology, sexual abilities, erotic effects and all the rest playing into sex.

I recently read up on the sexlife, sexual knowledge and sexual experience of GenY, GenZ and iGen generations, and apparently all of that is rapidly declining, both in frequency and knowledge of and about practical sex. Whenever I read such books as this one, I am ready to believe in those data. No one with a working knowledge of sex, rough sex, BDSM or poly could write such nonsense, or sell it to a knowing audience. No way, no how.

*I was given a copy of this book as a gift from Stephanie's Book Reports in exchange for an honest review. This is the fourth book in the Dirty Bad series, and it is the story of Andy and Faye.

**Warning-this review contains spoilers**

While I usually love a good smut filled story, this one just went too far. I couldn't relate to the characters , and in my opinion, there was nothing enticing about their relationship at all. The sex between them was brutal and humiliating. There were also situations that involved a "wet" room. Being someone who is unfamiliar with this lifestyle, I was totally shocked when I discovered what goes on in one of those rooms. All I can say is "ew just ew."

After reading this book, I now understand the author's warning about avoiding food while reading this! There were several times throughout the story when I actually threw up in my mouth a little. If you are not a Hardcore BDSM fan, you should probably steer clear of this one. I know that it definitely wasn't my cup of tea.

Ewwwwww...

Ok so I loved Dirty Bad Wrong (the dirty, dirty bastards) and even though I winced a bit at the next two in this series, I was still rocking the romance. This one was more of a 'love-hate' vibe, actually, more 'hate' than anything else and I'm sorry to say I wasn't quite feeling it.

Regrettably, what I felt down to the tips of my curled-up toes was all of the orifice stretching.

Ow, ow and fucking no!

I was expecting filthy and I got that, but I needed more chemistry, more connection than I got in this one, just like I enjoyed in the others.

Can be read as a standalone.

Please Note: We had three reviewers read this book, and their opinions varied greatly. Our star rating is a reflection of this, and an approximate average of the three. That's books, right?

Not since Dirty Bad Wrong have we spent so much time inside of Club Explicit. And thank goodness we are back! Grab this book and a package of batteries, because you will need them!

After three years, Faye is back. She was the original co-owner and founder of the club with Andrew. She left just shy of the one year anniversary, and wants to reclaim her position. She knows Andrew doesn’t want her there, and it’s only made more obvious when he gives her the bottom of the barrel jobs.

Andrew works his ass off to run the club, but you know what they say about all work and no play. This in no way means he has gone soft, he just chooses not to play as he once did. All that pent up energy and passion needs to come out sometime…

There are some very DIRTY, very BAD SECRETS in this book that you will never see coming. There are also some scenes that may make some people very uncomfortable and even a tad squeamish. If that is you, please do not read this book. But, if you are the type of person who likes a lot of kink, a lot of passion, and even some drama, please check this book out.

While it is standalone, there are some characters from the previous books that make an appearance here and there throughout the book. Seeing them again is like being reunited with friends after a long time. You want to hug them, find out what they have been up to, and maybe watch them up on stage.

I just have one unanswered question, and I am sure you will have the same one at the end of the book… WHO WON? ~ Devlynn, 5 stars

~~~
This is the fourth in the Dirty Bad series and it takes us back to Club Explicit almost entirely. This time around we learn the secrets of Andy Morgan, the club’s owner, and his partner Faye Devere.
Faye is a whole new kind of dirty. She is depraved and filthy and Andy is really the only one to be able to handle her.
“Your smart mouth is going to get you into a world of fucking trouble, Faye.”
“I hope so,” she breathed than braced herself for another.
Faye is a submissive. She is also flighty and unpredictable. She had spent the last few years in Italy doing unspeakable acts in the name of love. Love is the one thing she is really searching for.
“I want a dominant man who knows when to kneel. A man who leads, but know when to follow. A man who can punish me, and use me, and make me fall apart for him, but knows how to do the same in return.”
Andy is cocky, arrogant, and stubborn as hell. He has to decide if he is willing to break for Faye; if he can be the man she needs.
Like all the other Dirty Bad series, this book was kinky, dirty, and hot as hell. There are parts that definitely aren’t for everybody, and might be hard to read, but for me, they aren’t enough to ruin the story just because it’s not my cup of tea. I really enjoyed being back in Club Explicit and seeing so many of the other characters, especially Masque and Raven. I really enjoyed Topaz and hope she gets a story too! ~ Tiffany, 4 stars
~~~

For the fourth book in Ms. West’s Dirty Bad series, we meet Faye Devere. Co-owner of Club Explicit. Except Faye’s been gone three years—she up and left when the Club was just eleven months old, leaving Andy Morgan behind to make it work, make all the business decisions and make Faye money. Faye’s run back home—back to claim her old life. Back to forget Italy and all that she left there. She’s back, but she’s not necessarily wanted and she’s got secrets to tell.

Andy cannot believe his eyes. Faye is back without any notice, without any warning and just expecting to pick up where she left off. Andy is not having it—he’s rightfully livid and Faye will know exactly what her place is within the Club. Club Explicit is Andy’s and it’s run HIS way.

I really and truly wanted to love this story. I’ve immensely enjoyed the other three books in this series, but this one just didn’t hit the mark for me. I could not connect at all with the main characters. Andy is supposed to be a Dom but he sure didn’t act like one. Faye didn’t ring true for me either—her actions upon her reappearance didn’t necessarily match what she was trying to accomplish. And I really felt that Faye didn’t get what she needed when she returned to the Club so that she could move forward in an open and honest D/s relationship. ~ Missy, 2.5 stars

Omg. What did I just read
Jade West keeps churning out one bold book after the other. The latest one is no secret- a bestseller.
Andy and Faye were partners , more actually but both were too scared to admit it. Faye fled to Italy to be Vincent's Magpie. Her life quest for happiness and love gets her to sub for a sadist, a faux 'Dom' who's refusing to let her go. She suffers humiliation in the name of submission, pain instead of pleasure, torture in the name of submission. She comes back to her club. But it's not how everything she'd left it.
Andy is pissed off
club is thriving and flourishing without her
Vincent is on her tail
she has to 'Earn' her way in again. The process is full of anger, lust, frustration, love, sex and whiplash . Truly Andy has moved up right next to Masque for my favourite Club Explicit Dom.
Oh, and Masque makes an appearance here . I'm in love with him .
jade has a runaway bestseller on her hands ths time too

4.5 DIRTY.FUCKING.STARS!!!

When your battlefield is London’s horniest playground, and sex is the sole weapon left in your arsenal, it’s only a matter of time before the fight gets dirty… and the secrets get dirty bad.

HOLY F*CKING WOW!!!This book is just so damn intense!This is sooo dirty..filthy...but hell if it wont make you damn horny to a T!!!

I went blind reading this book. All I know is that this book contains BDSM and that I immediately dig on it because it's really been a while since I had my fill of BDSM books. But this book really surprised me. IT WAS SO FUCKING DIRTY! IT WAS SOOOO DARK!! In fact I never thought I could handle so much filth as I go on with my reading. Because seriously this book just had it! True to the author's word this really contains hardcore BDSM!!!

I will not go on with the details of the book because the blurb says it all.  I may usually quote some lines from the book in some of my reviews but I wont with this one. BECAUSE THIS SHOULD BE EXPERIENCED PERSONALLY!!! What I wanted just to say is that this book is awesome and really one of those books you will never thought you'd love to read. HELL!!! I enjoyed reading it....dirt...filth and all. I LOVE the characters and  I love how the story goes. The storyline is soooo good. It might be a little dragging at first and I was like a bit confused and it was kinda have the feels of no connection but I was so glad it picks up right away. The sex scenes may offend others but you wont mind because it was written artistically. The love they have may not be conventional...It might not be traditional...dirty bad secrets lies behind...unfold...revealed...

....But f*ck DIRTY BAD SECRETS!!!

If you love a filthy...dirty...hardcore BDSM book, then this one is for you. This is a must read!

ARC REVIEW

Jade West delivers yet again in this amazing series ~ Dirty Bad Secrets 5+

Faye Devere returns after three years spent in Italy, back to her part ownership of Club Explicit and does not get the warm welcome she was hoping for. Faye is a very feisty character a natural submissive but she craves something more.

Andy Morgan the other half of the partnership to Club Explicit he is a serious, angry man who likes order and is not pleased to see his business partner return ready to get back in the saddle.

The Dirty Secrets slowly unfold throughout this story, can past mistakes be moved on from or is it too late ?

This book covers more hardcore BDSM themes than the previous books, lines are crossed and the Dirty gets a whole lot dirtier ~ Get ready to entre the crazy world of the Owners of Club Explicit.

dNF. I know *shocked face* as I f'love all of Jades other work but I'm 56% in, bored and hoping Andy will shove a knife down Faye's throat instead of his cock and do us all a favour.

Update 27/2/16

OK it annoyed me that I didn't finish it so I went back to it again today and read the rest.
It just doesn't keep the interest like the others though, and the sex scenes seem to be done for the shock value than anything this time. Far less erotic than any of her other books and that's a real damn shame.

If you love chocolate, do yourself a favor and don't read this book. I actually enjoyed reading the previous books in the series, regardless how hardcore and extreme they were but this one didn't hit the mark... I HATED Faye, she was just awful... Andy was tolerable. Additionally, James and Lydia made an appearance and I think that James needs to up his water intake sometime soon...

If I had a dime for every time I cried in frustration while reading this book:

Well, I could buy one of these:

Man, am I gonna rant about this book. If you want to hear good things about this book, please go somewhere else. Let’s get started.

Really, I though Dirty Bad Wrong was bad cause it was so icky but, damn, this book is way worse. At least that book had a reasonable amount of story (not good story but some story!). This book has two whiny, asshole-ic, juvenile, idiotic main characters that make you want to gouge out your eyes. In fact, this makes me want to go back and give Dirty Bad Wrong three stars cause man, was it loads better.
We start off with our “lovely” heroine Faye storming into Andy’s office at Club Explicit. And demanding, in a bitchy whiny voice, that she wants to take back her half of the club. Now, when I say bitchy, whiny voice, I mean it.
Andy: umm… hello you’re back.
Faye: (in a high-pitched scream) I want this club back cause it’s mine and I know I haven’t done a penny’s worth in the past three years but I’m a girl so gimme back the control I deserve.
Andy: where were you for the past three years when I needed you?
Faye: oh grow up. Now my club back!
Okay, this is exaggerated but you get the gist.
Then, dear old Faye uses the dirtiest trick in the book; threatening to call the lawyers if Andy didn’t budge. Now, there are certain ways to play a game and

God, I knew from that moment I will hate Faye throughout the book.
To make the book worse, Andy was no better. Either our lovely Andy acted like a horny bitch PMS-ing or like a stupid, jealous man. Every conversation they had, at least 90% into the book consisted of shit like “you ran away” and “I loved the man who abused me because it was ‘beautiful’” and shit like that. I’m not kidding when I say 90% into the book.

Everyone will siblings can relate to arguing with their brothers and sisters. Well, Andy and Faye fight exactly like two 6-year-old toddlers, trying to convince us they are adults. It was a torture to read this book.
And then, we touch the subject of where Faye was for three years. I will be quoting spoilers from here on and I don’t feel like hiding them because everyone needs to know what this book is about.
So, Faye went to Venice for God knows what reason and met a man there. Now, Faye will describe him as a God on earth. This is how I saw him

He’s supposed to be in his fiftys with greying hair and Faye decides to leave Andy for him. Andy is an unbearable bitch but at least he ain’t a horny old man.
And guess what. Faye claims to loving that old Vincent countless times in the book. Why is that a problem? Because Vincent abused her for 3 years. Mental, Physical, all sorts of abuse which Faye took as his way of loving her.
I’m quoting Faye here:
his ideology isn’t one of them; it’s beautiful

What was his ideology? That Faye should give herself up to people she hated so that they could fuck every inch of her and he could watch so that he could get inspiration to write his dirty sex book. THAT was his ideology. Why on earth would anyone call it beautiful? Was the author going crazy while writing this shit? I know she can write. I adore two of her books. Then what the fuck happened to her in this one? And no, she doesn’t call Vincent’s disgusting ways beautiful once. She calls them beautiful every time his name fucking comes up. Now that is messed up.

To prove my point, here’s one of Vincent’s disgusting statements:
love the way your soul longs to possess mine. I too feel the burn inside as I watch you with another . it is a good burn, sweet girl
What?
And yeah, I’ll get the shit that it’s only his creepy mind saying this and Faye left him. But no. Faye left him indeed, but throughout the book she insists there was nothing wrong in his ways and that they were “beautiful”. She keeps repeating the same shit even when Andy confronts her that one of the book describes people pissing in her bloody mouth against her consent. She agrees to do it only because of Vincent which makes it dubious consent at best. And Faye says it was “beautiful”. Now, I think we can safely say she’s crazy. And the author did her best to portray Faye as an independent woman so I dunno what the whole “I should not blame ugly old Vincent” shit was about.

And then, lo and behold, we get a scene where Faye dominates Andy by forcing him into it . No, I will not take the “Andy agreed” excuse because he did NOT agree. Which makes this a sort of rape.
Here are Andy’s words:
I didn’t have a choice
And our dear old Faye doing what every rapist or disgusting person forcing someone else says:
You liked it. Don’t pretend you didn’t
And here she’s saying it herself:
the rest was dubious consent at best
See? Why, why why would someone write such shit?
Why force someone to do shit against their will. And we’re talking about Faye forcing Andy’s mouth into a defacing gag, coercing him into taking Topaz, the dirty old slutty barmaid and making Topaz kiss Andy against his will, while also writing on his chest with lipstick. And it didn’t help that she called him “pretty boy” throughout the er exchange.

To make matters worse, Andy later “admires” Topaz’s ass cheeks and wonder what it’ll be like to bang her ass. Now, I wasn’t rooting for this couple but that’s some shitty thing to do if you’re claiming you love some girl.
We also get snippets of Faye’s time in Venice. And it wasn’t pretty. Vincent makes her crawl, makes her cry, pierces her damn vagina and she still thinks he was wonderful.

I think by the time jade was wondering what else to do to piss me off. And then she brought in Callum. MY Callum. The hottie savage from Dirty Bad Savage. In this God awful novel. And she makes him do charity work for Faye. That did it for me. Why would you do that, Jade? Why?? What did Callum ever did to you? Why did he have to talk to Faye? I sound insane and hysterical but whoever loved Callum in DBS knows how insulting it was to get just a glimpse of him in this novel and that too in which he was doing Faye a favor. Urgh.
Here’s Faye describing herself:
I want everything and I want it now, and if I can’t have it then nothing else will do
Romantic, you say. Whiny, I retort.
Then we get the vile scene that made me hate DBW in the first place. Cat pissing in Masque’s mouth.

In the end, we get a little action when Vincent seeks out Faye and Andy finally snaps out of his bitch-mode to go rescue Faye. But by that time I had already decided I hated this book. Which is sad because I do love Jade West.
To the book:

What a disappointment.
And the cherry on this lovely cake was the fact that the book ended with the authors tossing a coin to see who could fuck Topaz's ass.

Please don't hate me for my rating of "Dirty Bad Secrets" by Jade West. It didn't come easy as I loved the three prior books in the "Dirty Bad" series.

"Dirty Bad Secrets" has Jade West's unique and captivating writing style as well as a good storyline. Two people who both have secrets and who have hurt each other, come back together and a battle of wills and power begins. One that is loaded with emotion and lust. Sounds great, doesn't it?
So where did it go wrong for me?

That's easy to pinpoint. It all comes down to one character - Faye.
I couldn't stand her. Not even a bit. I've never felt this negatively about a character but she really made my blood boil.
I get she was broken, but it was her choice to let others break her. She wasn't a victim by any stretch. She was a willing participant. So her woe-is-me attitude and her skewed need for power because of what happened just irked me.
She was a whiny, self-indulgent, narcisstic, childish and selfish cow. If she were a real person, I wouldn't even spend five minutes with her.
Everything was about her and what she wanted. I tried hard, but couldn't find a single redeeming quality about her. Not one.
Therefore, it made it hard to relate to her, which automatically ruined the sex scenes.
Her behavior was erratic, bordering on psychotic and how Andy managed to put up with her is beyond me. The fact that he ended up submitting to her and her wishes, just made me lose all respect for him. He went from sexy, controlling and hot to I'd-rather-jump-a-piece-of-splintered-wood territory in five seconds flat.

For pretty much most of the book I wanted to strangle Faye and not in the way she'd enjoy. The world had to revolve around her and everyone needed to cater to her wishes. She punished Andy for her own mistakes and failures, feeling that he owed her. The only thing he owed her was to kick her a** to the curb.

While Andy's characters started out as one I liked, that unfortunately changed the more he interacted with the Drama Queen. I was drawn to his controlled and controlling demeanor, especially since he was never mean or unreasonable. Distanced - yes. Cold - yes. But never mean. He was fair to Faye and able to see some of her points. Even when it was her who wronged him. It could have been so great, if he wouldn't just had given up his spine to appease the Princess who strolled back into his life and club. That was an instant attraction killer. He let her walk over him, allowed her to get away with stuff that was verging on dubious consent at best. It just undermined his whole personality.

Their back and forth was like a merry-go-round. She wanted him to submit. He wanted her to pay for her mistakes. She wanted to backdoor him with a strap-on, because that would prove he really loves her. He wanted her to go away, to stay, to go away. I just wanted them to get it over with.

Because of Faye's character the book was completely ruined for me and I skimmed the last third to find out what her secret was. Which, again, she's done it to herself - no sympathy from me.
Add to that the fact that I don't really care for submissive men and this book just wasn't for me.

This is one of those books at the end you sit back and say, "what the fooking hell, no way I enjoyed that!" But I did, because it's so damn hard not to.

The content goes against anything even the die-hard BDSM fans love to read, Jade West is literally the Queen of filthy but done her way, filthy with romance. There's no-one that can touch her on these stories.

She delivers brutal and whams it at you at rocket pace and you squirm. Oh how you squirm! But no-one can say who truly reads this and 'gets' the story behind the 'dirty' that it's anything other than top notch bloody writing. If this receives low reviews it down to the reader not stomaching the content, and that makes me mad, they shouldn't have tried it, there's enough warnings. I couldn 't stomach some of the content but hell yeah I've five starred it because I wasn't meant to be writhing on a bed of roses in a hedonistic trance, I was meant to be in that office, on that gurney, in the playroom and in that shady sex-camp of Vincents. Oh how I wanted that man's demise. What an absolute ...... ..... ..... (bleep bleep bleep) he is!

Fair play to Jade, she warns, oh how she warns move along if you cannot read the dirty that goes on. On that note, would I ever want to be Faye? - Hell no! Did it stop me from feeling empathy and liking her and but also being frustrated, horrified and permantly have my legs closed and arse clenched - hell no! I think Faye was written absolutely spot on. And as for Andy well, again, I felt his emotions, I felt his reasonings, I felt him - I also felt his pain! (Yes I just shuddered!) I loved his dominance and I loved how he was with Faye.

Bravo Jade West, you are ruler of this world in romance books, because yes the core of the Dirty books is romance, not all romance is Vanilla or BDSM, Jade just proves that, some romance is filthy, dirty and full of secrets of the most horrific kind and it's compelling reading.

I received an ARC of Dirty Bad Secrets and I knew what I was in for, if you are at all unable to read hardcore BDSM then do not read this book, if you think you can handle it go in with an open mind and not rate on what the bits you can't stomach, rate it on the writing and the story, because on that it's nothing less than a 5 star read.

I'm no novice when it comes to Jade West and her "Dirty Bad" series so I was fully prepared for lots of dirty and I mean very dirty and kinky sex. West didn't let me down. It was almost to much. Some scenes especially the ones Faye experienced in Venice, I felt, were to much and for shock value only. I'm very open minded and have enjoyed the previous books in the series so it takes a lot to get a rise out of me. But I had to skim through some of those scenes. I have to give credit to the author because she writes so vividly and honestly that she gets this reaction from me.

When that's said I have to admit I liked this story and was entertained. It was intriguing to get into the mind of Faye and her submissive ways cause she was a very complex character. She had reason to act and behave the way she did after what she experienced with Vincent. Her partnership with Andy was tumultuous and sexual. He was a great dominant and knew how to take control over Faye. But she definitely had her ways too. I particularly like a certain threesome with the cute little barmaid. I was struggling with Faye and Andy's chemistry. I could feel the lust but not the love which was a shame and made me struggle more to connect with them. A great fourth book to the series.

Dirty Bad Secrets is dirty bad gross! This is the fourth book in this series and I struggled to finish it. I can read dark books, even those with triggers or unsettling subject matters. I don't consider myself a prude and am actually pretty open minded. However this story crossed the line and pushed the boundaries straight to gross and disgusting. It wasn't about pleasure and pain, but more about humiliation and shock factor.

Faye is a horrible, horrible lead female character. She's vindictive and never takes the responsibility for any of her actions. She's quick tempered and annoying in every scene in which she appears.

Andy was okay at first but I lost respect for him when he ended up giving in to Faye and her brutal filthy games.

Others may like it, but sadly I did not.
