I love anthologies, especially prequels that pique my interest for new series to come!

I read so much it’s inevitable that I’ll need to check out new authors. Especially ones from a specific genre so anthologies are great way to do that. Banged, hit the perfect spot for my craving for rock star bad boys! It’s an amazing compilation of eight stories from great authors about “hard-rocking, hard-loving, bad boys” you won’t want to miss.
“Bad boy with a temper is our kryptonite.”

The other reason I picked up this package deal was because one of my favorite authoring duo, Carrie Quinn and Taryn Elliott, are starting a new rock series called First Hit and I just could not resist getting to know the first couple.

Evie Pierce is determined to succeed. She’s moved from London to the US to pick up the pieces of her career and put them back together. After a devastating defeat she’s putting everything she’s got into her training and doesn’t have time for anything else. But when her friend and rock star Lindsey York asks her to go out on a girls’ night she won’t take no for an answer.

You’d have to live under a rock to not know about the famous rock group, Rebel Rage however Evie doesn’t have a clue as to who Johnny Cage is and really doesn’t care.
“What… kind of magic light saber was this guy sporting…? Was the dude spraying his pheromones across the land?”

But when his whiskey voice and piercing eyes hit her senses there’s no denying the electrifying attraction between them. It’s a fight she won’t resist and neither will forget. Can one night be enough for two people who’ve found their inspiration in each other?
“Just a glance, and I knew those scarred hands held more than just a guitar. And I understood the visceral response that these woman seemed to have.”
_________________________________
“Power, man, lust. Bottle it and it would sell more than any of his records combined. He was the fantasy.”

This introduction story about Johnny Cage and Evie Pierce is incredibly hot and steamy. Cage is soloing with his acoustic guitar trying to find an outlet to his inner voice. Evie put on nice clothes that don’t hide her fierce grit and tough edges. These two clash and fight and flirt and have an incredibly hot night. Painkiller is a fun and exciting backstory of two supporting characters from two previous series by these authors (Lost in Oblivion and Tapped Out) I really can’t wait to know more of.

Painkiller is a prequel to the First Hist series by the awesome duo Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot. This novella can be read as a standalone. It’s written mostly from the heroine’s point of view. I recommend it for readers that like scorching romances with bad boy rockers and badass heroines.

DIRTY (The Horus Group) by Ainsley Booth: Well my my my, what a surprise Wilson is turning out to be. It seems he is way more than the man behind the screen at The Horus Group...This prequel was intense, sexy and if you paid real close attention, not even a little about Wilson but Tabitha Leyton, an intricate labyrinth of a woman that is going to bring Wilson to his knees!

THREE NIGHTS WITH A ROCK STAR (Half-Life) by Amber Lin and Shari Slade: This was really steamy and sexy read with well developed characters that you wouldn't think would fit ~ You have the lead singer of a rock group paired with a responsible do the right thing all the time girl. Well that philosophy went right out the window for Hailey the moment she met Lock :) This story was fun and sexy and very HOT HOT HOT, i tell ya!

LUST’S RHYTHM (Heart of Fame) by Lexxie Couper: Awwwww, to go back to the beginning (I say that because Chloe Blackthorne is none other than Nick Balckthorne's daughter ... the man who started this unbelievably hot series, Heart of Fame. It's not a long story, so I'll get to the point ... Lexxie Couper knows how to rock a story! (see what I did there lol) They're flaming hot, super sexy, fun and sweet and just plain hot! Wait, I said that ... well, it's worth a second mention!!

THE ROCK STAR’S SECRET BABY (Ballybeg Bad Boys) by Zara Keane: Another story where we get to back in time to the beginning of the Ballybeg Bad Boys .. The story has the usual crazy Zara Keane craycray thrown in with a lot of sexy fun!

FORBIDDEN ROCK STAR (Red Hot Rock Rhapsodies) by Madelynne Ellis: Just wow ... in true Madelynne form, I changed my panties twice during this delicious little read. This woman can write a scorching hot story #TRUTH (in every possible genre with every possible trope) ... the beginning of what I predict to be a scorching hot, sexy and fun rock star series!

PAINKILLER (First Hit) by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott: If you've read Lost in Oblivion then t will be no surprise to you that this is a fanfrikkingly hot story. If you haven't, then DO IT NOW! It's a prequel, so it's going to be short, but it will not be lacking in anything that matters ;) lol

MORE THAN MUSIC (Chasing the Dream) by Elizabeth Briggs: My first read by Elizabeth Briggs and I was impressed. This isn't your typical rocker story, it's unique and interesting. It's New Adult, which is not my fave age group, but there didn't seem to be too much of the eye-rolling NA drama to put me off. I actually quite enjoyed it. And I'm looking forward to some day, reading about all the band members ...

A review in process...

I am about halfway through with the Banged Anthology and I am not sure when I’ll finish the entire thing, but I don’t want to forget the details.

DIRTY: 5 Stars
I’ll start with Dirty by Ainsley Booth, which was the story that made me get this. I was dying for more of the Horus Group and was so happy with Wilson’s story. Tabitha Leyton is a mess. She also might be the key in breaking open the case they are working on. But she isn’t giving up a damn thing. When they hit a dead end, Wilson decides to stick around and work a new angle. One that Tabitha is more than willing to give him. But in just one heated night, Wilson discovers there is much more to her story.

Another full-on heat read. Wilson and Tabitha’s chemistry was off the charts hot. Pure lust. I love the men of the Horus Group and can’t wait to see just what Wilson does next.

LUST’S RHYTHM: 3 Stars
Lexxie Couper is one of the authors that I own a few books of but just haven’t really dove into yet. I figured this was a great way to get a taste of her style and maybe, just maybe it would get me to clear out some of those books just waiting to be read.

Although this was a hot read I didn’t really get drawn into the characters enough to care about the story – it was just pounding sex without much of a connection to the two people doing all that thrusting. The writing was good – but it just more of a hot read.

THREE NIGHTS WITH A ROCKSTAR: 4 Stars
Bound and determined to get access to Half-Life, Hailey don’s her best groupie wear in an attempt to figure out who knocked up her baby sister. But when Lock sets eyes on her, he wants her for his own reasons. After battling with sobriety and making some poor choices that landed his exploits on the web, he is a bit more cautious about his conquests. He’ll agree to let her stay, if and only if, she’s willing to sign her body over to him completely.

I really enjoyed this story and found myself drawn to the other bandmates and wanting to read their stories as well. Lock was a bit tortured, which is a huge turn on. I love it when they are damaged. And as straight laced as Hailey was – she threw herself into the arrangement perfectly. All inhibitions left at the door!

This was a hot and entertaining read that really drew me into the story of Half-Life.

THE ROCK STAR’S SECRET BABY: 0 stars
Sadly DNF’d this one a few pages in. Storyline just did not grab my attention at all.

FORBIDDEN ROCK STAR: Review to come.
PAINKILLER: Review to come.
MORE THAN MUSIC: Review to come.

Slick's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Rock stars, bad boys, dirty, hot sex, adventure and more…these authors offer up something for every reader but be warned there are several stories in this anthology that are merely “piece” of serials with cliffhanger type endings. For 99 cents the few complete books were well worth that price and more, but unfortunately the rest of them left me disappointed and frustrated.

Lust’s Rhythm by Lexxie Couper 5 stars
Holy smokin’ hotness…let us just say that she may be a classically trained musician but she’s got her father’s rock and roll genes running through her. Nick Blackthorne’s daughter Chloe is all grown up and plans to finally get the man she’s thought and dreamed about for the last 4 years and that man despite his rock star career being threatened by both Nick and Chloe’s brother, Josh, Jed is willing to give it all up to pursue the woman who has haunted his dreams. I loved the way these two acted on their 4 years of lusting for one another, the way they shared so much of their lives in between food, snuggles and sex and the way they let their impulsiveness take over their common sense to make it a night to remember. In addition the bit scenes with Josh and Nick via phone was just icing on the cake. I love this family, this series and this book was just perfect.

The Rock Star’s Secret Baby by Zara Keane 3.0 stars
This was a fun story of a two night stand that resulted in a pregnancy. What I enjoyed was the heroine didn’t realize the hero was famous and winds up employed by him. Muireann Byrne determined to make a better life for her and her child accepts a job as a housekeeper before realizing her boss will be the man who fathered her child. I found it interesting the way hard rocker Darko (Damien) Dunne found out about his child and the way he handled it when he did. While I enjoyed the time these two spent together and really enjoyed seeing Damien interact with his son, I really didn’t feel the heat between these two and their relationship got lost in the shuffle of the mystery surrounding the island Damien had bought to build his home on and the strange things happening on the property. However given this was somewhat of a suspense story, I liked that the heroine wasn’t needy or helpless. I was a bit disappointed there wasn’t more to the romance between these two but it was still a somewhat enjoyable story.

Three Nights With A Rock Star (previously published) by Amber Lin & Shari Slade 4 stars
I’m pretty sure I read this book when it was first released and I enjoyed it but it was one where you kind of have to suspend belief to totally enjoy it. A buttoned up woman employed by a church sets out to crash an after party for Half-Life a hard rock group to find out which one of the group or the road crew knocked up her 19 year old sister. I’ll state right off the bat I liked both Hailey and Lock (Keaton) despite them being very different people. I had a very hard time believing Hailey would agree to Lock’s demands and the fact that she so easily infiltrated the group’s celebration which supposedly was taking place in the lobby of a hotel. Despite that I enjoyed the time they spent together and it was obvious they both enjoyed it immensely physically, but evident it went beyond that pretty quickly. I liked the way they both brought out very different sides of each other and the fact that they accept each other even after sharing their baggage. I was also pretty amused who the father of her sister’s baby turned out to be and how that was resolved. A pretty great epilogue rounded out this story which is why it got 4 stars from me.

Forbidden Rock Star by Madelynne Ellis 3.0 stars
Right off the bat I’ll tell you this book ends with a cliffhanger ending. Two bands have the opportunity to become the next big thing after a performance puts them in the sight of a big manager who can make or break them. Paradise Kiss’s lead guitarist, singer and songwriter Nathaniel Darke is in a tough spot; the groups bassist is one of his best friends and between his traumatic brain injury and his addictions he’s holding them back and when he see Bitch Slap’s bassist Loveday Trevaskis play he knows she is what the band needs but that means making a decision he doesn’t want to make. Problem is he doesn’t want her just for her bassist skills, the woman trips his trigger like none other. When she makes it known he does the same for him things get interesting and then very complicated, but sometimes complicated makes sense. These two made some serious hot music together both on their instruments and with their bodies and I loved that they seemed to “get” each other from the start. I really ejoyed this story but would have loved it if it was complete.

Painkiller by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott 4.5 stars
Wow is my reaction to this book from two authors I have not only been following since the start but whom never cease to amaze me. Johnny Cage the lead singer of Rebel Rage has had a wild and crazy life, but lately the music coming to him isn’t anything Rebel Rage would touch but he’s finding it not so easy to go solo. On a night he tries an acoustic set that goes bad he meets Evie Pierce and they share one incredible night. Both Johnny and Evie are hiding secrets, but the passion they share is unparalleled. This is a prequel to a new duology for this two, but for me it is a beginning of what promises to be another amazing story from these talented authors. Both characters are intriguing beyond words, both have baggage and both are on a path that might lead to some serious injury. A hot, sexy, and intense evening that will leave you panting and wanting more and an epilogue that sets up the remainder of this story perfectly, I absolutely loved this book! While this is a prequel, it read like a complete story; the characters were well developed and the start of their relationship was volatile and intriguing. Most of all while this was a start, it didn’t leave me frustrated; it set up the next book nicely and left me excited about what is coming next.

Dirty by Ainsley Booth 2 stars
I had a hard time with this “book” because it was actually a very small piece of a serial and honestly not enough to make me want to read the rest of it. A man from a crisis management team trying to get information on a man suspected of some very dastardly deeds tracks down a woman who is known to have spent time with him where this upstanding crisis management type berates her, has dirty thoughts about her and crosses several lines especially when he returns after her concert and has sex with her only to find out she is married to her manager who obviously doesn’t care that she sleeps with anything that walks. Not my thing at all and honestly I could care less what happens to either character.

More Than Music (previously released) by Elizabeth Briggs 5 stars
I am not a fan of reality television but More Than Music which centers on a Voice type show but for bands instead on individuals was an excellent book. Maggie Taylor is a geeky classically trained musician is tapped to fill in for her friend’s band when their bassist walks out the night before they are to audition for The Sound. She has secretly crushed on her friend’s big brother Jared Cross the band’s lead guitarist, vocalist and song writer so she agrees to help them with the audition until they can find a replacement, but contracts require her to be all in and she soon finds she’s the a member of Villain Complex and competing in a reality television show. As the show goes on she and Jared are drawn more and more towards each other something they’ve been warned the show’s producer does not want happening on their show. Jealousy, lies and sabotage all ensue leaving them to try and figure out how to be together and not lose their chance at winning. I enjoyed every minute these two spent alone and even the times they wished they could be together. Watching the four band members come together and work with their “star” mentor and finding their way as they become a band on the rise was exciting and fun. I loved this story so much I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

Bonus track:
Resistor (previously released) by Madelynn Ellis 2 stars
FYI…this is just a piece of the story between the hero and heroine. You can download the first piece of the story Remastered for free (at the time this was printed), but be aware that even with Remastered and this book Resistor it is still not a complete story.

After I read Remastered I was fairly intrigued by Spook Mortensen the rhythm guitarist for Black Halo and Allegra (Alle) Hutton the mastering engineer hired to work on their songs, so I was excited to read Resistor only to find out it was just another little piece of the story with more to come and my biggest issue was that it wasn’t even very interesting. It was simply more of the same Alle trying to get Spook to have sex with her and him saying he couldn’t/wouldn’t/shouldn’t without any explanation other than something bad had happened in his past. Unfortunately I’m done after this one, I tried reading the first couple of books in Ms. Ellis’s Black Halo series (well, serial) but for me it was just too little substance in each book to make it worthwhile. While I enjoy this author’s storytelling and would gladly read a full length, complete book from her I’m done with these bits and pieces of stories.

What an EPIC crossover! Female MMA fighter, Evie Pierce, from the Tapped Out series meets Johnny Cage, the lead singer of Rebel Rage from the Lost in Oblivion series in a story hot enough to melt your kindle!

I don't want to say too much because I don't want to let anything slip, but this novella is about the night they met. And it was one HELL of a night! I can't wait for book 2!

Review for Dirty by Ainsley Booth
**4.5 stars**

*** I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***

Ainsley Booth is back with her next installment into the lives of the hot sexy men from the Horus Group. We had Cole’s story and now we get Wilson’s story and if this prequel is anything to go by oh my!! I know I’m going to love reading the rest of the story and finding out more about Wilson and his leading lady Tabitha.

The sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts, but it also more than there is something there that both haven’t felt in a very long time. However, as both have issues and secrets I have a very strong feeling the road to true love is going to be a hot sexy, passionate, drama-filled and intense ride. And I for one can’t wait to read it!

“We’re going to hide from the truth. But we’re going to do it together”

I loved Wilson he’s just all kinds of DIRTY! And Tabitha, well she looks like she is going to be a perfect match for Wilson and is going to give him a run for his money.

“For the first time she pinged on my radar, she’s had this effect on me. Unsettling. Taunting”

If you like erotic romance then, give this one a try as Ainsley knows how to write great smut!

Oh my heavens... that was so dirty, and hot and I must have more! LOL...
I just read "Dirty" by Ainsley Booth from this set and it was so stinking good. Tabitha is a female character like no other. She will definitely shock you, she is so bad. But that doesn't stop Wilson... he can see right through her. The sexual chemistry is AMAZING between these two and once again Ainsley has this magical way of making something dirty into something "heartfelt"??? How does she do this?? Talent... just pure talent!

Can't wait for the rest of their story...

ARC was provided by the author... have not read any of the other books in this set but this prequel alone is worth the .99 pennies!

This is a review for four of the stories in this set. They are a mixture of complete stories, and serial installments with cliffhanger endings, but every one features a super steamy romance!

LUST’S RHYTHM by Lexxie Couper

Chloe is an accomplished cellist, but she's grown up in a rock star family, with both her father and brother being well known for their music and bad boy rocker images. They've warned her away from Jed, who's got a reputation just like theirs, but that hasn't stopped Chloe from her own secret fantasies of him since their eyes first met three years ago. Finally, (Finally!) they are in the same room together and get the chance to see whether their fantasies might live up to the reality. I really enjoyed this one! Super super sexy (I mean, whoa sexy!) and so much heat pouring off these two that I'm surprised my e-reader didn't catch fire. While it might be called an insta-love story, the reality is that they've been crushing on each other for so long that everything between them feels natural and right. This was a great novella with a happy ever after ending and definitely will make readers want to read the rest of this rock star series.

THREE NIGHTS WITH A ROCK STAR by Amber Lin and Shari Slade

This first book in the Bandmates series ( a full length novel) takes us into a world of excess, where alcohol and sex abound, inhibitions are lost and two strangers become more to each other than either ever expected. This is the story of Lock (real name Keaton), front man for the band Half-Life and Hailey, a Sunday School teacher who confronts Lock on behalf of her pregnant sister Chloe in the belief that someone in his entourage is responsible for her sister's condition. Lock will allow Hailey to investigate on the condition that she sign a contract to stay with him for three days, indulging his every sexual fantasy after which time they will part ways.

I like the portrayal of Lock's character as an anti-hero. He's a recovering alcoholic who sees sex strictly as a commodity to be bargained and traded. He's rough, he's impatient, he's abrupt - and he makes Hailey's blood sing. Yet something about Hailey sparks a tenderness in him that she sees and accepts despite his words to the contrary. Hailey's character comes across as that of a good girl finally given the chance to act out her deepest fantasies. She relishes this sudden freedom to let go of her inhibitions. We see Lock's character becoming more caring as Hailey's influence over him deepens. The story takes place over only three days, yet their shared experiences lead to a trust developing that Lock never anticipated. Both characters were portrayed in a believable manner for their life experience, and the sexual chemistry between them was off the charts! This a fast paced, sexy, riveting book with a happy ever after ending that will leave you wanting to know more about this band. I'll definitely be on the lookout for the next Bandmates story.

PAINKILLER by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott

This story is an introduction to Johnny, a singer with Rebel Rage who is working on some solo songs and meets Evie, an MMA fighter on the underground circuit who is coming back from an injury. Johnny is playing at a bar that Evie are her friends (two of whom are also singers) are at and she is struck by the raw passion behind his solo work (but not overly impressed with what the rest of the crowd is interesting in hearing, the run of the mill work for which he is more well known). The story is told from Evie's point of view (with an epilogue from Johnny) and I really liked her character. She's tough, she's opinionated, she's bold and she's working hard on her comeback. She's passionate about her fighting, just as Johnny is passionate about his music. While at first they seem at odds, when Evie gets a chance to see him after the show, the passion they feel for their own interests spills over into a super sexy one one night together. But Evie's not going to let their steamy encounter wreck her plans and she's off bright and early in the morning, back to her regular life. The story is left unresolved, with the knowledge that neither of them has forgotten about the other. Can't wait to read more of their story!

DIRTY by Ainsley Booth

This is a whet your appetite kind of story, a short teaser into the life of Tabitha, a rock star since the age of fifteen (now 25). She's used to everything in excess - alcohol, music and sex and never spends the night with just one person. When Wilson shows up, investigating a man involved in a human trafficking ring whom Tabitha may have been involved with at one point, she seeks to shock him with her outrageous behaviour. But he can see that it's a front for what she really feels, and he's determined to get through it and find out what makes her tick. They share a very steamy scene together, one night that surprises her in its intensity and in the fact that she let him stay the night. But in the morning, surprises abound and we're left with a cliffhanger ending, and knowing that there's bound to be more to Wilson and Tabitha's fractious beginning. Looking forward to the next installment in this series!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lust’s Rhythm – Lexxie Couper

Lexxie Couper was a new author to me, so I had no idea what to expect. The story started fast and kept the pace up the whole way through. I really believed in both the MCs, and loved the mixture of the rock and classic genres. I will definitely be buying more by this author. I’d give it a strong 4 stars.

The Rock Star’s Secret Baby – Zara Keane

This book has it all, a disappearing corpse, a depressed rock star in hiding, a feisty heroine and an apparently temperamental French chef, all set on an island (I have a thing about islands). It also has punchy writing and a HEA. I have a dislike for drippy females in romance who think they just have to look “cute” and life will work out, and Muireann is a refreshing breath of fresh air. She isn’t sitting back waiting for life to come to her, and I love her for it. I now feel I need to know everything about Darko and his band too. This was an easy 5 stars for me.

Three Nights with a Rock Star – Amber Lin & Shari Slade

I have previously read this book, but it was no hardship to treat myself to a re-read for the purposes of a review. I lost myself completely in the fantasy of being the love slave of a hot rock star like Lock, and the tension was high all through the story. The angst in the relationship between Lock and Krist is something that really got to me, and I give this another easy 5 stars.

Forbidden Rock Star – Madelynne Ellis

Madelynne is a one-click writer for me, and she never disappoints. This is the first we hear about a brand new band – Paradise Kiss – and I wasn’t sure what to expect, except hopefully lots of dirty love action. It doesn’t hurt that I adore the name Nathaniel, and that his physical description hits me right in the you-know-wheres, but coupled with a play-off against another band, Nate’s concern about one of their band members, and the first-person narrative, it adds up to a riveting read. Loveday looks as though she will be a match for any one, and I cannot wait to read more about this bunch of crazies. Instant 5 stars.

Painkiller – Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott

I was really excited to read this, as I’ve read all the Oblivion books and loved them.
Somehow though, and I can’t pinpoint why, this just didn’t work for me. I didn’t hate it by any means, and I really wanted to love it, but even though I can’t work out why, I just can’t. It probably won’t stop me from wanting to read the next one, but for now, I’m sorry ladies, it’s a 3.5 stars.

Dirty - Ainsley Booth

We are warned at the beginning that “This is just the start. This doesn't end well. And it's going to get much worse before it ever gets better.”
And it’s true. This shouldn’t be as easy to read as it is, because there is a whole load of f*cked up happening in this story, and it ends on a cliff-hanger, but the tension between Wilson and Tabitha feels very real, and I really want to know what happens next. So many unanswered questions! A 4 stars from me, and hurry up and write the next part please.

More Than Music – Elizabeth Briggs

Elizabeth Briggs is another new to me author so I had no preconceived ideas about her style. Right from the start I felt pulled into the world of the reality music show, and the very likely backstage issues that are bound to go on.
Jared is a lovely MC, and I could see why Maddie was so crazy about him, but I did find her just a teensy bit annoying that she was so “oh poor little boring me” when it was fairly obvious that no-one else saw her that way. But that’s a minor quibble really, and I would give this a happy 4 stars.

Resistor – Madelynne Ellis

Another one that I have read before, being a huge fan of Madelynne’s Black Halo rockers, but there is always time to read about the tortured and utterly gorgeous Spook Mortensen.
Spook hasn’t had any kind of sexual release for years, so when he meets a woman who derails his mind and his emotions, it’s all he can to do to keep the walls he built so high from crumbling. For some reason we still don’t know, he won’t allow himself to love or be loved, or to take physical comfort. But Allegra is disintegrating his defences, and he’s running scared.

I can’t even pretend to be unbiased about this: Spook is my favourite of all Madelynne’s bad boy rockers and this would probably have got 5 stars just because she wrote his name on the cover page. However, if you liked tortured blonds with a thing about bondage, he might just tick all your boxes too. A resounding 5 stars.

I LOVE IT when an author I follow includes a new installment in one of their series in a boxed set like this especially when the set is only $.99!! It is a "no brainer" purchase because I know I am going to get an awesome read that will keep me thoroughly entertained for 3-5 hours, PLUS I will get the benefit of some other little gems and new authors to discover. Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott are the reasons I bought this box set without any hesitation, and a review of their book is as follows:

This is another fabulous installment in the Tapped Out series (Underground MMA fighting in New York) that crosses into the Lost In Oblivion Series (New Adult Rock Star). Here Quinn and Elliott take ancilliary side characters from each series and bring them together. Initially I was thinking this would be nothing special, however, if you are familiar with a series, it really is neat seeing characters you have been familiar with over the years come back up in casual conversation as the story moves along. It adds to the realistic feeling of the series and gives the impression “it really is a small world”!

Rock star Johnny Cage is struggling a bit in life, and Evie Pierce is struggling to get back on top of the women’s MMA circuit after suffering a devasting set back in her home country of England. We are not ever really told what the true issues are leaving many unanswered questions at the end of this book, however, the journey to get to the end is HOT. This book may actually be on of the sexiest books written by this duo yet. Evie is strong and snarky while Johnny is mysterious. In this installment we get more of Evies perspective and do not get any insight into Johnny until the very end were we are, of course, left with a cliff hanger. I gotta say, I really hate that! As always the book is very well written with excellent descriptions, you can feel the emotions and practically smell the city. The tension between these two as they initially come together is incendiary! This is a great warm up and teaser for what’s to come and will leave you wanting for 2016 to get here faster!!

I received 'Dirty' as an ARC from Ainsley Booth for my honest review. After reading 'Dirty' I fell in love and had to read the whole box set which I received from Net Galley for my honest review.

After completing the book my first thought was literally.....Holy Hotness all of this for $o.99 cents!

DIRTY (The Horus Group) by Ainsley Booth: This book is a Prequel so there is a cliff hanger ending, but you better believe that what Ainsley Booth gives you will leave you wanting more in a big way!

LUST’S RHYTHM (Heart of Fame) by Award winning author Lexxie Couper : The daughter of a rock star who is not afraid to go after what she wants..definitely a page turner!

THE ROCK STAR’S SECRET BABY (Ballybeg Bad Boys) by USA Today bestselling author Zara Keane: this book was pretty good, had some weird stand out moments toward the end but hey it caught my attention big time.

PAINKILLER (First Hit) by USA Today bestselling authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott : this book is a prequel that casts a rock star and an mma fighter that get up to no good together. I cant wait for the next book because things really get atomic (explosive) with big shockers that cannot be ignored!

MORE THAN MUSIC (Chasing the Dream) by Elizabeth Briggs : This book was a YA book. It had the feel of the cuteness and drama that you can only find with young love. I am not usually into the YA books, this one was not bad at all, if you are into YA novels you will love it.

THREE NIGHTS WITH A ROCK STAR (Half-Life) by USA Today bestselling authors Amber Lin and Shari Slade: Gotta love a good girl gone bad novel!

RESISTOR (Black Halo) by NYT and USA Today bestselling author Madelynne Ellis & FORBIDDEN ROCK STAR (Red Hot Rock Rhapsodies) by NYT and USA Today bestselling author Madelynne Ellis : Off the Richter Scale in the hot department. At first I was not a believer but goodness gracious; you read a Madelynne Ellis book and hot flashes are soon to follow!

Received a copy of DIRTY by Ainsley Booth in exchange for an honest review. This review for the Banged Anthology only covers DIRTY.

Welcome back to the Horus Group! While reading Hailey and Cole's story, Wilson was off working another angle -- and finally, we get to see it. This little prelude to Wilson and Tabitha's story was SO. FLIPPING. GOOD.

Like bad boy Cole, Wilson definitely prefers his front (as in his persona, what he shows the world, you dirty minded people), but pretty quickly we learn (as he does) that there just may be one woman for him, one woman that makes him want to change his ways. The problem is, he has to try to get her to want to do the same. That and there's the small matter of the case he's working on.

The secrets Tabitha is harboring... I can't wait to watch her unfold. More than that, though, I can't wait to watch her allow Wilson in. She has constructed such a well-thought out persona, that I feel it will be as much of a learning experience for her as it will be for Wilson.

I cannot wait for their story to fully begin. This was such a tease... Especially because I'm pretty sure there's a full Horus series/serial before this one.

Oh! And the cover model for Wilson (if you get a chance to see it)? So pretty. Definitely was who I pictured in his place while reading the story.

*I received an ARC of Dirty from the author in exchange for an honest review. Reviews of the rest to come after release day*

Dirty
Ainsley Booth

Wilson, the black ops tech guy from the Horus Group is our Hero and superstar Tabitha Layton is our Heroine. They both have secrets and are drawn to each other after Wilson questions Tabitha, hoping for information for an investigation his company is conducting.

Oh.my.GOD. People! After reading this, I'm not sure if I love Ainsley or I hate her for this. I want more. I NEED MORE! *stamps foot and shakes fist menacingly* Dirty was a fabulous prequel for what can only be an amazing story. Wilson and Tabitha have....issues... And they know it. Tabitha is a little
more open than Wilson, but she doesn't have the people reading skills he does to see each emotion, no matter how short it is, or how much Tabitha tries to hide it. They come together and it's explosive. I thought my iPad was going to catch on fire.

I seriously LOVED this prequel. I'm not going to be able to stop thinking about it until I get my grubby paws on the rest. Don't miss out. Just don't. Because when you eventually give in and read it, you will wonder "WHY THE HELL HAVEN'T I READ THIS EARLIER?!"

This is crossover from two amazing series.
The rockstar and the MMA fighter collide. Great prequel with incredible sexual chemistry that leaves us with a whole lot of unanswered questions.
Evie is a hot fighter and Johnny is a smoking rockstar. She is out for a one night stand but it becomes much more than sex. Well have to.wait to read more.

This is a review for Forbidden Rock Star by Madelynne Ellis.

Prequel to an exciting new Rockstar series. The author has crafted an amazing new band on their rose to stardom, beginning with Loveday and Nates story. Meeting by chance becomes an opportunity for both of them can't wait to see what happens on Paradise Kisses climb!

I was given an ARC for Painkiller by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. I loved the crossovers! Bringing Lost In Oblivion characters and Tapped out characters together in another series! Incredible. Johnny and Evie are electric! They scrap, they flirt, talk and f*!k. Oh and I loved Evie's comment: "Yeah, there were way too many women involved with my evening! She is definitely a tough cookie. An absolute must read. Cari & Taryn are an amazing duo of authors who never cease to amaze in their stories. More please!!

After seeing some of the other reviews out for other stories in the bundle, I am really excited to be getting into reading the whole bundle when it is released!

I received an ARC of "Painkiller" by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot in exchange for my honest review.

We met Johnny (briefly) in Cari & Taryn's Oblivion series -- he's from the band Rebel Rage. Evie is the MMA fighter "Hummingbird" from Cari’s Tapped Out series. When these two lock eyes?

Instant heat.

I love these two together. The "how they met" is just about every rock fangirl's dream, and the "what comes next" is definitely worth the read.

Finally! A book that delivers! This is a blazing hot collection that is the perfect beach read. Some of these stories are novellas that only whet your appetite and will have you panting to read the rest of the story. Personally, I'm not a fan of anthologies, but this one is a winner. These were all new to me authors and I loved each and every story filled with all the rock stars and bad boys you could want.

A brilliant collection that includes some excellent authors that I'd already discovered and some that were new. The highlights in the set for me were from Madelynne Ellis and Zara Keane but there is not a book that I didn't love in this collection. Unbelievable value for money and well worth a read.

At just 99c this was a great deal and a great way to discover new writers/series in this genre. Some of the stories were part of an existing series other were an intro to a new series. Some were right up my alley, others not so much. If you're wondering whether this is worth a try, I say go for it.
