Meredith Clarke likes long walks in the trees and drinking sangria. Yeah for real. Like Edward Sparkly Cullen style. She writes alpha male yet cuddly characters and the hot women that love them. Open a book or two, eat a smore, and cuddle up with the men of Meredith Clarke.
This is an OK shifter romance, but Claire was really hard to like. Yes, she was miserable, but she didn't have to take it out on everyone around her. I also didn't really believe they were in love. It was supposed to be instalove for them, but it feature like instalust to me.
One thing really bothers me about all the stories in this series, though. Every one of the guys claims his mate BEFORE he tells her he is a shifter. That is seriously not cool, to do that when the woman has no idea what it means to say she'll "be his". It worked out for all of the guys in these stories, but I don't think it would if a guy really did that.
Chase Highland has given up on finding a mate. Claire Lowe hates everything her life has become, but as the senator’s daughter she knows there is no way out of her suffocating life. I loved this book and how Chase was able to get Claire to lighten up. I would really love to see a novella about Chase and Claire and the response from her father about them being together. I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it
I liked the book, but would have liked to see the father's reaction. She took the news of him being a shifter a bit too easily though. It was a quick read.
