Wicked Sunshine was my very first read by Justine Winter and I couldn’t be happier that I picked this one up. Looking at the cover, which by the way is enough of an attention getter, I was hooked from just that. I than decided to check out the synopsis and immediately knew I was going to read this one. I went into Wicked Sunshine thinking “erotic romance” “sexy” “sinful” and “wicked”. I got all that and more. The surprising shocker for me was the humor in the book.
Not only is bad boy Grayson sexy and successful, the man has big huge funny bone because I couldn’t tell you how many times I found myself laughing out loud because of his antics. I loved how the story was written. Wicked Sunshine is written by a woman however told by Grayson and it was almost scary how much Justine knew about men. It was like she channeled her inner nonexistent penis and wrote this book because it was very typical male. Also, I liked how Grayson told the story almost as if it was his journal in some parts and in others like he was having a conversation with the audience. I have read a few books in the past that were written very similar but Justine pulled it off flawlessly.
Our leading lady Maya was easy for me to fall in love with because of her strong personality and don’t mess with me attitude. Grayson is a man that is used to getting what he wants and not having to work for it however, Maya didn’t play into his bullshit and made him sweat a little bit. He had to work at it and I loved watching him question his sanity one more than one occasion all because of this one woman that left him tangled in knots. Kudos Maya…Kudos…

The past never really dies and sometimes the things you try and leave in your past have a way of popping back up and the potential of ruining everything. I enjoyed how Justine threw a little bit of angst into this story but not so much that it would make for a completely different read. Wicked Sunshine is just that. The right amount of wicked and the right amount of happy sunshine and makes for an excellent fun, feisty and sexy carefree read.

Wicked Sunshine is the first book in the Rush Enterprise series. I really wasn't sure how I felt about this book I really wanted to love it and it had some great potential of being a great story but it seriously drove me crazy in parts because of inner dialogue being way out there and so ridiculously asinine that I wanted to bash the main character in the head with my kindle! I generally don't post bad reviews of any sort because I don't want to give negative feedback but I just couldn't hold it in with this one. I am seriously shocked that there is another book in this story because I just don't know what else could come of it other than more drama that is not needed. I know some people found this book to be hilarious and 5 stars I am just not sure we read the same book. I may or may not read the next book in this series but if I do I so hope it gets better.

I. LOVED. THIS. BOOK. Every part of this story was completely amazing. This book was funny, sexy, intense, passionate, naughty, and oh so very tempting. This book will make you laugh really hard. This book will make you blush something fierce. This book will warm your heart and make you smile. You will swoon and definitely fall in love. And by the end, you will want so much more.
This is Grayson and Maya's story. Grayson is a manwhore whose specialty is pleasuring women. But he follows three simple rules and never strays. He doesn't do second times and he is strictly all business. But like every manwhore in the world, when he falls, he is going to fall fast and hard. And that woman who is going to make him fall to his knees .... is the young but completely tempting Maya.
Maya is trying to make something of her career so when she takes a chance, she doesn't realize how it will set up the rest of her life. When she meets Grayson, she knows his reputation and does anything she can to avoid his advances. But there is something about Grayson she is drawn too. And she can't help but give him a chance... or two... or ten. But no matter what, she can't deny what she feels.
The road for these two is not going to be easy and things will get super bumpy along the way. Grayson is definitely going to screw up. Maya is definitely going to overreact on certain things. They are going to bump heads. But one thing is certain... they have tons of chemistry and sizzling passion that ignites between them. Can they able to make something work or will they crash and burn?
I loved Grayson. Oh he made me swoon and smile a lot through this book. He was so alpha and watching him go from just lusting after Maya to realizing he had fallen in love was so amazing. And Maya, I really liked her. She was so smart and ambitious for a young age. She was wise beyond her years in many ways. These two worked so well together and you can't help but root for them.
This book does not end on a cliffhanger... per say. But their story is definitely not over. Grayson and Maya still have more to say and that completely makes me excited for book two!
I highly recommend this book.

Grayson Rush, playboy, billionaire, manwhore... Wicked Sunshine is told all in his point of view and at times you want to love Grayson and other times you want to slap him upside the head!
Grayson has everything figured out. He's building yet another business, has a new girl to bring home every night, and is happy not being in a committed relationship since he knows how bad those can go. When Maya shows up at his office for a meeting, he can't seem to get this girl out of his head. After the deal with her company is done, he finally relents and tries to pursue her, but Maya is unlike any girl he's known. She doesn't care about the money, and she is looking for a relationship.... something Grayson doesn't do.
The back and forth between these two characters is quite hilarious. I adored watching Grayson trying get Maya to see he's not all that the papers print about him You can quickly see that Maya is different for Grayson and he wants her, more than just for one night.The way he treats Maya is awesome, and the things he does for her are beautiful. When he lets her into his inner circle and she gets to meet his sister and Cam (best friend and honorary brother) I was in awe, as well as everyone else around him.
Everything is going great between Maya and Grayson and I really thought they would get through this story unscathed, but something does happen and I was pretty angry with Maya for not believing in Grayson after seeing how much he has changed for her. I wanted to shake her I was so angry, but in the end, things definitely worked out.
Slowly watching the change in Grayson was pretty awesome to read, and I really ended up loving the character he became towards the end. I was not a huge fan of his in the beginning of the book. Being inside his head made it really hard to like him at times, but he slowly grows on you.
This book has some laugh out loud moments, and some over the top moments as well. I adored Maya's character (for the most part) and hated then loved Grayson's. I will definitely be picking up more books in this series as they are released, I just hope that they start off a little faster than this one did. Between Grayson's inner thoughts and the pace of the beginning of the book made it hard to get into this story immediately, but it definitely grew on me. Holy Hawtness! So, I usually don't do romance, more fantasy and paranormal, but I love this author's other works, so I of course had to. And I am not surprised at all that I loved it. There's definitely something special going on here. Also, there's some seriously steamy scenes in here, so get a fan, or maybe some ice. LOL I will say, this is also a very emotional book for the reader. It's funny, and heart breaking, and seriously sensual, and beautiful in it's own way. You get to meet Grayson and Maya here. And there's nothing alike with these two. The man who's only goal is pleasuring women, and a woman who's not like that at all, but will make him rethink every single choice he's made.
Maya wants to better herself and her career, so she takes a big risk. And then she meets Grayson, though she knows his kind, and his reputation, she avoids him when she can, but she's also drawn to his sexy self. She keeps giving him chances, and she can't help how she feels, but she can help her choices. She's a strong woman, but a man like Grayson is his own force to reckon with.
Grayson is... I don't really know how to say this. He's special, he just needed someone like Maya to make him figure it out, and how to really put some of those skills to good use. LOL Things are not going to be easy for him and Maya, and oh does he screw up. And Maya is definitely going to let her insecurities and doubts about him cause some drama. And it's going to have to be up to them to work it out, or if it's not worth the fight...
Ms J... this is not one of your werewolf books... but I'm impressed! The writing is not just about the sexy scenes, there's so much emotion and creativity that went into this one. I must say, I am looking forward to more from them, because though the story wraps up, there's still more. And I look forward to seeing that... After I get my wolfy book of course! HA! 5 PAWS!!!

Grayson is a playboy, billionaire starting up a publishing firm. Maya is the resisting heroine, working as his graphic designer. They clash because he comes on to her and she pulls the, "I don't sleep with co-workers" card which makes her extremly desirable to Grayson. He's silly and childish but thinks he's sexy and sophisticated. He describes himself and his desirability in ridiculous ways. Ex: "I'm one hunky piece of candy." and "Looking damn right tasty." He says stupid and offensive things, he's conceited and talks like a royal douche. He dispenses priceless advice to the reader, on how to get and keep a man interested. Refers to Maya's breast as, juicey melons, bazookas and coconuts. I couldn't take him seriously, he frustrated me because he was very annoying. Maya was the typical wishy-washy, colorless, lost in Grayson's awesomeness heroine. Sex wasn't steamy at all, when she told him they couldn't have sex anymore because her vagina was too hot and raw from his lovemaking I felt nauseous and so sure she had an STD. There was no pregnancy scare but the obligatory crazy ex-girlfriend was present, showing up at just the right time to destroy their relationship. I should have known this was going to be bad when he said "buff my banana to a creamy milkshake". Gag. I couldn't even laugh because he really was super annoying and juvenile.

Wicked Sunshine is my first book by Justine Winter, and OMG I LOVED IT!
Grayson Rush can be labeled like this; Billionaire. Philanthropist. Manwhore. He's a one and done kinda guy, who runs at the sight of "more." Satisfaction is his specialty, and pleasure is his mission, until he meets Maya Kennedy. She's a beautiful 23 year old, smart mouth that is immune to his charms. No way is she going to become one of his women. He can't get Maya out of his head, so with a talking to from his sister, he decides to try this whole "more" thing. Not everyone is happy about this, so will they be able to stay strong together as the storm hits?
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I started this book, but it blew any preconceived notions right out of the water. The character development is fantastic, especially watching Grayson evolve. A well written, extremely addicting storyline flowes smoothly. The story is told in Grayson's POV, and I have to say, Justine Winter did a brilliant job with the male POV. All her original humor had me laughing constantly until my stomach hurt. The sexy scenes are SMOKIN HOT panty melting goodness, and the romance, while realistic, is so sweet. The next book needs to get here soon, as I CANNOT WAIT to read more about Grayson and Maya! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I absolutely LOVE this book! Ms. Winter can write a man's pov like no other. This book is hilarious I laughed out loud many times and highlighted a boat load of hilarious quotes. I haven't read many books strictly told from the male characters point of view so this was fairly new to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Grayson Rush is a bad boy arrogant multi billionaire who likes his life as is women many many women.
He's wears the a**hole man whore hat like a seasoned pro.
"And if I had a penny for every time I'm getting bitch slapped, even without my billionaire status I'll be f**king rich"
Until he mets Maya Kennedy she's everything he likes in a women but Maya will not be another notch on his bedpost.
" I want more than good f**k, Grayson."
Grayson and Maya's relationship is really adorable both kind of trying to figure it out as they go. Their banter is silly and realistic too.
Dialogue is huge to me I must have good realistic dialogue in my books. This book has that and than some.
This is definitely a top read for me one that I'd reread.
I'm very much looking forward to book 2 I need more Grayson asap!!

Grayson and Maya's relationship is really adorable both kind of trying to figure it out as they go. Their banter is silly and realistic too.
Dialogue is huge to me I must have good realistic dialogue in my books. This book has that and than some.
This is definitely a top read for me one that I'd reread.
I'm very much looking forward to book 2 I need more Grayson asap!!

I LOVED this book! This is definitely one that you don't want to miss out on. I haven't read many books, and I've read many, where the book is all in the guys POV. I truly enjoyed it and the things he said cracked me up. This book was more comical than anything but it had its serious times in it and of course with it being Grayson there was plenty of sex. This is one that if you are in need of a more light hearted comical book than this is one for you. I was laughing at the things that came out of his mouth. I loved getting his POV when he met Maya and his no commitment policy goes out the window. He sets out to get Maya in bed but she's not easy like all the others and once he gets to know her, he has a harder time getting her off his mind and gets more addicted to her.
Will Grayson be able to commit to Maya? When stress in life encroaches in their time, will he push Maya away or let her help him through it all? What happens when his past comes crashing into the happiness he finally finds? Will Maya be able to see past everything and believe in him or will she decide its too much?

Interesting story that will make you fall in love with the hero! First of all, this book is told via Grayson's POV. At first, I was kind of pissed with Grayson, I want to smack the living daylights out of him but as the story goes, I started to like him (oh and love him!). Grayson is not the type of man you normally read in books. There is something about him that will make you hate him and love him at the same time. lolAnyway, as the story goes, he will meet the woman (Maya) who can tame the manwhore Grayson??? What I love about this guy is that, he's romantic and domineering at the same time. I can't definitely get bore with this guy! Totally! Also, there will be someone who is from Grayson's past that will make things complicated. Ms. Justine rocked it! I wish the book was longer though.. lol. I love to see more of this two!

I do love a good manwhore so I was excited when I read the blurb for this book. Grayson is just this he's a manwhore who specializes in pleasuring woman. Erm hello you can knock on my door any day, in fact please do. Maya is the woman who catches Grayson's eye and although she avoids his advances at first she cant help the draw she's feels to him. What happens if she gives into these feelings and will Grayson leave his manwhore days behind? You'll need to read to find out.
The chemistry between these two was so strong and i loved Grayson's alpha ways too. No cliff-hanger ending as such but there is more to this story. Cant wait to read more.

Wicked Sunshine is the first book I have read by Justine Winter. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this book is. Grayson Rush is your typical billionaire playboy who knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to get it. But when he sees Maya Kennedy standing in his conference room he knows two things, never sleep with someone he employs and he will stop at nothing to get her in his bed. What he didn't count on was how she would make him feel. Grayson takes the advice of his younger sister and takes her out on dates. The more time he spends with her the more he wants her. Maya isn't giving in so easy.
There are twist and turns that will have the reader surprised. I would recommend this book.

While I expected this to be the same old billionaire get what he wants story and it definitely wasn't. It was very interestingly written and for me I had never read it done quite like this. While it was very raunchy and direct at points it really fit the personality of Grayson and his thinking. Justine did a great job as a woman writing the perspective of a playboy male. The humor, chemistry, and well written sexy scenes make for a great book that keeps you entertained from start to finish. I was pleasantly surprised when I read the back and there is going to be another book and I look forward to hearing more from Grayson and Maya!

Very disappointing! This could have been a cute, sassy read. Not only was the repetitious profanity annoying, the constant examples of what a crass, conceited jerk Grayson is, was a little over the top. But the crude, profane references to Jesus walking on water was really offensive!

This is the first book I read by Justine Winter and I have to say that I'm a fan.
Grayson Rush and his witty, sexy and wicked personality won me over.
I always enjoy a manwhore story and Grayson didn't disappoint, but every manwhore needs to have a strong female lead and Maya definitely gave Mr. Rush a run for his millions. I adored Maya, she didn't make it easy for Grayson, showing him that she was different form the pliant girls he was used to handling.
The story has a great flow and it is one of those that the reader will devour in one seating, keeping us entertained and guessing what will happen next. While the story has its funny and airy parts there is also the angst, AKA Justine, that comes to hunt Grayson from his past. She spiced things up for the main characters and not in a good way.
One more thing I enjoyed about this book was the change that occurred in Grayson, the fact that it was over the course of the story and not overnight added another positive note to it. Worth mentioning are the fantastic secondary characters that were thrown in the mix, adding a fun note to this already vivid tale.
If you're looking for a swoon worthy, sensual male lead with a strong counterpart, this is definitely the story you've been waiting for.
Grab some wine, get comfy on your favorite chair and let Mr. Rush do the talking.
