The Sleeping Serpent

Rate this book
As thrilling as The Girl on the Train, twisted as Gone Girl, and tortured as Big Little Lies.

Whether by free will or fate, Luna’s encounter with Nico provokes a storm that shatters her perceptions of identity, duty, morality, and self-worth. The storm didn’t blow in from the outside. She was the storm. Its turbulence within her, forcing her to confront the darkness, uncovers her secrets and her pain.

Luna Saint Claire has a loving husband and an enviable career as a Hollywood costume designer. Still, something is gnawing at her. Bored with her conventional and circumscribed existence, she feels herself becoming invisible. When she meets Nico Romero, a charismatic yoga guru, his attentions awaken her passions and desires. Dangerous, but not in a way that frightens her, he makes her feel as if anything is possible. Infatuated, she becomes entangled in Nico’s life as he uses his mesmerizing sexuality to manipulate everyone around him in his pursuit of women, wealth, and celebrity.

Immensely erotic and psychologically captivating, The Sleeping Serpent is the compelling story of a woman’s obsession with a spellbinding guru and the struggle to reclaim her life. At its heart, it is a painfully beautiful exposition of unconditional love that causes us to question what we truly want.

3.75 "fuck 'em, those emotional, life-force draining suckers" stars

A dark, psychological thriller...hmmm 😈 well, it was more like a traumatic, aggravating drama, for me...

Oh God, in fact, this was actualy very exhausting read on a gravely serious topic of emotional vampirism , the trap set by the aggressor and the, almost excrutiatingly painful to read about, escape of its victims...

Well, the ones that had/found enough inner strength to fight against this draining malicious force...

The semi-biographic story (that's my conclusion, since the name of the heroine is exactly the same as the author's, but it might simply be the case of pure simplified fact of "being in the character" and not actually having had experienced everything written in the story, but that will only stay as an interesting and intriguing segment in this book, for now) of a Hollywood costume designer, Luna Saint Claire and her inner struggle to break the binding, excrutiatingly draining cord implemented on her and the obssessive connection to a young, attractive, seductive, compelling yoga master Nicolas/Nico, after their initial session, when he "healed" her of her burning issues/troubles and made her life better. Not only does Nico, compelles her and sucks her into the obssessively complicated altercations in cause-affect manner, or tit for tat, if you like, but the emotional draining and psychological maneuvering only stirs more inner turmoil in Luna, as he sets the fire to her emotional spin - from enyoing the pleasant flattery, sexual inuendos, friendly deep need for trust then making her feeling devastation and guilt cause she has let him down, if she wasn't at his disposal at the very second he needed/wanted.

And through it all, we see a person - Nico, that is unworthy of your attention, he's a sleezball, ambition hungy man that is in fact mentally ill, or well, dealing with a disorder that is quite hard to detect, recognize or even fight against, and not only that, but the way he plows through lines of women, using them (in fact, the women use him too, so it's a mutual sexual release) in every possible way - sexually, emotionally, psychologically, in order to achieve his ambition and goals but most of all cause he needs to fill out the emptiness and brokeness due to the distruction caused by this disorder.

My ass...

But in fact, this is all so true and close to the actual maneuvers these people do act upon. Cause unfortunately, the case of real vampirism is very much present in the real lifee and once they set their eyes on you, it's really hard to get away, unless you have very strong, credible sense of self-worth, self-esteem and self-appreciation, and we talking tons of it!!!!

BUT that's not the case, cause non of us is like 100% sure of themselves at all times...and the fact that the majority of victims of emotional vampirism are in fact very succesful, powerful and beautiful women might slightly shake my theory mentioned above.

Even though, i am still convinced that any kind of shit can happen to you is, in fact, only enabled by your current fissure, and it takes only a second for it to happen. It's all about the perception and misconception...and if fissure in your composure is visible in that one single moment than yes, you are susceptible to evil, in any shape, form or entity....

So, each of the women described in this story were receptive until it was too late to back out, and they were coming back for more, over and over again...but then again, he couldn't have gotten the access to their inner state unless they were receptive in the first place, and they were cause he found a fissure! They all had smth lacking in their inner posture, inspite of their wealth, success, position, looks and what not! They were at one point, susceptible to tthat tiny option of false adoration, flattery, need, desire, you name it, only to either feed the inner vanity or some other inner state that was hungry for attention.

And that's a devastating thought, and totally terrifying state of human's psyche, where you see what's happening but you are unable to fight it.
Very crippling state...and it's confusing and frightining to think that at any moment, you can become a victim yourself, and it truly takes a supreme self-conscienceness of self-worth, that no fuckin flattery or sexual attraction, or whatever the fuck one could try awaken in you to turn your body, mind and soul against yourself only to be used for the goals and gains of your emotional attacker.

Even though, it was aggravating for me to read about this emotional exploits, I'm actually glad the author decided to show this truly "dark" side of human beings that unfortunately could also be met in real life situation. And even though, I really didn't like any of the characters, and I was counting the minutes praying for some fuckin revengeful karma thing...as a payback...

in real life, I'm not sure weather it's good to have too much love and kindness for humanity to be able to want to help these people for causing the destruction of others and themselves OR should we develop a thick as fuck armour and set them all to the "fuck off" sphere even before they set their eyes on you as their possible victim...

i'm kinda lingering to the second option...but that's me *wink*
besides, I'm kinda opting for the line, that Brian May from Queen, sang a long time ago:
"Too much love will kill you..."

Damn, this was a praise worthy and bold as hell theme to write about, unfortunately it left me with a bitter taste and a whole lot of mess to sort out and think about!

Great praise goes to this author for a gripping debut novel.

This author is going to play with your mind with Nicos story.
Nico is charming, sexy and has the girls falling at his feet. He plays with their minds and their emotions then moves on. He knows how to manipulate women for his own good.
Luna is married to Tyler but feels drawn to Nico and his charming self. Will she succumb? You will need to 1-click to find out.

I love when an author manages to change your mind about how you feel about a character. This is what Luna did in this story. I went from thinking Nico was a charming sexy guy to really disliking him.

This is a well written erotic read that had me gripped. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

I love discovering new authors and this book was a perfect blend of romance, darkness and drama.
I love characters that challenge me as a reader, so I highly recommend this book if you want something different and unique.
The author delves into the dangerous ground of human manipulation. Her main character, Nico, uses his influence as a yoga instructor to lure women in and use them for his own success.
Then there comes Luna who finds in Nico what has been missing from her life. Can she survive him though?
The book is pretty long so be aware of that. On the other hand, it is compelling and the writing is good. I am very curious of what this author has in store for us in the future.
I recommend this.

This erotic story is a very good example of how manipulation works and narcissism as well, what a person is willing to do in order to gain whatever wants. Characters here are not what you think especially Nico he is like "you don't get exactly what you see" it's a mirror, a fake image who works in his favor and well either you like for what what he does or you simply hate him, many woman fell for his charms and became his "victims" (kind of).

Generally this is a very different story with a unique plot yes it's erotic and filled with hot, explicit scenes but it's nothing you read before (guru, yoga). The whole story it's a mystery and you anticipating for what is going to happen next...yes with fear but still...

The book also creates many emotions to the point that you want to get in the story and bring those people to their senses. The author has created a really great and interesting story for a debut novel i'm looking forward to see what else will create next.

This is a love/hate book for me.  The story was so very disturbing that I was afraid to finish it, but the writing was so good and the characters were so rich in detail that I had to see how it would conclude.

Vampirism by definition means the taking of ones life force by another.  We all have had that one person in our life that when we part ways with them, we feel empty, drained and exhausted.  Nico is that guy, he is a yoga guru who knows how to attract members of the opposite sex and to help heal them with ancient spiritual rituals.  Luna is a strong accomplished woman who loves her husband and in general is happy with her life yet she goes to him willingly seeking his help.  She doesn't know what she is in for.

This is book about relationships, how they can destroy us and build us up.  This is about control, pure and unadulterated control.  I was broken while reading this book, I wasn't sure if I was going to be okay, then I closed the cover, took a deep look inside myself and said, "I am not Luna. I never will be Luna."  This is a cautionary tale that should be handed to teenagers, except for the really hot sexy scenes that will make you melt for all the right reasons, this lesson should be taught to all women.  What scared me the most about this book is that it is real, someone had to experience this in order to talk about it.  This is the ghost story that we don't tell around the campfire for fear that it will happen to us.

There were times I struggled with this book, but I am a better person for sticking it out and persevering.  If you can handle a very dominate male lead and some touchy subject matter, please do yourself a favor and read this, it is informative and entertaining in one beautifully wrapped package.Thank you Luna St. Claire for dealing with this hard subject matter so that we have such a wonderful reading experience that helps us grow as well.

WoW!!! Luna Saint Claire came out of the starting gate with a Hell of a first book! This book drew me in from the get go. Could not stop reading this perfectly woven story. Nico <3 What is there not to love about this smooth talking, suave, good looking and off the charts good in bed yoga instructor. Amazing how the women just basically threw themselves at him just for the fact he was a good looking, smooth talker. But in the real world...Nico was the one playing the game. He knew how to use them to get everything he desired!
The writing in this book was outstanding. The story flowed perfectly. It was a book unlike anything I had ever read!!!

This is a mesmerizing story of a narcissist who draws women to him in a series of dysfunctional relationships. The story has a good pace and ramps up the tension as the story and characters develop. The author did her homework on the psychological characteristics of narcissism and how others can be impacted. I loved all of the yoga details!

The Sleeping Serpent is a gripping debut of compelling prose so powerful it will ingrain it's web of deceit and narcissism into the deepest, most precious and sacred parts of your soul. You will question everything. Everything! BUT, by the time you reach that point it will be too late. You won't be able to escape the literary grip this book will hold over you. A true testament to the author's talent. Luna Saint Claire is certainly one author to keep your eyes on! Wow!

Enticingly erotic, you will be lured in from the very first chapter. Nico is a man you do not say no to.
You obey.
You oblige.
You pray you won't be the one to pay the price of his bidding.
Lover or victim? Only time will tell.
Manipulated by the Amaru- the sacred serpent.

"Once a narcissist has you entangled in their web, the bond is difficult to break. Just like a vampire story, you are inexorably bound. Bewitched. Compelled. Because they are the emotionally unstable, being in a relationship with a narcissist is like a rollercoaster ride. He is charming and passionate, yet nothing satisfies."

A mindf*ck for the senses, of the senses. Just. AAAGH!!! This story had me so twisted inside out and upside down, unable to differentiate fiction from real life. I was in knots!!! I loved every minute of it. Sometimes it pays to venture outside one's reading comfort zone and indulge in the darkness lurking in the literary shadows.

"It's not life he craves, it's life-force."

I could not believe this was an debut novel. The writting is excellent.

While it did take me a bit to read not just because it was long but beause of all the mind play. I actually had to take a breaks from reading this, which is something I rarely do, however durning my break periods I had no peace beause if I wasnt reading I was thinking about Nico and his manulipating way. I kept thinking there has to be a reason and while I wanted to throat punch him I still found myself drawn to him. I was no different then the many woman who threw themselves at him.

This book is completly different than anything you have ever read. It is dark, mysterious, erotic, unique, and quite frankly scary as hell. It does have a bit of a slow start but them bam you are hooked. Prepare yourselves. This story will stick with you for years to come.

A 2016 must read.

Riveting plot.
Dark but very romantic and almost platonic,
despite the sizzling scenes however, that was not the
intention of this gifted author. No.

I found myself so immersed into the story,
I just couldn't put the book down.
Her female characters could had been any of us
falling prey to Mr. Spiritual Perfect.

I was biting my nails from the intensity that this
book evoked. Very well thought psychological
profile of the characters.

This book should be made a cautionary read for all young and all ages women out there. A real eye opener for any female.

Very few writers out there can bring this about in such a wonderful
way as this author did. Bravo. A sexy book with substance. A must read.

This was an interesting read that I'm giving 3.7 and bringing up to 4. We're told the story from the third person point of view which for me is not a favorite but you're still able to stay with story. We're introduced to Nico, a yoga teacher that seems to have split personalities and more often then not I want to knock him out. The way he has these women believe they need him so desperately is unbelievable but at the same time I can understand and relate. Nico has a way of getting deep into their heart and minds. There are times when I think Luna will go one way and then at the last minute she spins round and heading in a whole other direction. As I've read further along Nico was making me more and more frustrated with his views and perception on how his life should be. When you can feel such passion towards a character whether good or bad you know the author has put their heart into their work and story. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Naughtiness 5*

This book is extremely very well written and cleverly done aswell as bringing to light the plight of those who are or have suffered from abuse, it is by no means a fluffy book it is dark not for the faint hearted at all.

Be advised there is a lot of detail and at times very difficult to read, if this kind of book appeals by all means you will enjoy it.

In today's day an age this is a subject at the forefront foreman especially the victims of abuse. Do not suffer in silence there is help out there and support for those who need help and courageous enough to report it.

Thank you Luna for writing this very cleverly written book and giving me the honour of reading.

The Sleeping Serpent by Luna Saint Claire
For the first time I’m not sure I can provide an adequate review for this mind blowing book. The amount of details about Yoga, Native American culture and Spiritual healing was remarkable and provided the perfect backdrop to see how a narcissistic ego of our main character Nico would function in a society today. We tend to believe and trust people that have a perceived position of power which causes us to not think clearly and make bad decisions.
Throughout this book keeping track of all of the smart, talented and successful women Nico was with was difficult at best. I kept thinking how can you be so naïve to think he is only with you and loves you. The pattern of behavior had me scratching my head the entire time. Then I learned about cording (fascinating by the way) and what the impact is on an individual. The pull is extremely difficult to deny and hard to escape.
I will admit the topic is way over my head when it comes to healers and yoga but this book keeps me engaged anyway. The intensity of this book is like nothing I have experienced to date. I can only speculate that yoga has a dark seedy side that can persuade people to go against their better judgment with what I can describe as magic and potions. Luna was a main character throughout the book and I got a sense she was able to keep Nico calm most of the time. She was the only one who didn’t have a physical relationship with Nico and was able to keep the clearest head on her shoulders. Her saving grace also was she was married. I have my own theories on why but I won’t put that in my review.
Here is what I can say. Nico was able to find women he thought could further his dreams of fame and fortune. When they were slow or didn’t follow thru (his perception) then you got to see another side of him. The he got into a downhill spiral that he was not able to recover from. I can only imagine what it would be like to be with a person who can change on a dime and be soft, sweet, attentive and provide so much pleasure to only turn around and become uncontrollable.
If you are looking for psychological thriller, then this is for you. I will caution you if you are looking for HEA this is not going to fill that need.

I received a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This book completely blew my mind. The complete shock and utter disbelief left me reeling from its all too realistic storyline. Luna Saint Claire did a wonderful job writing this book with so much detail and ease. I was hooked. Even though just about all of the characters made me angry and want to slap them silly I could not put this book down. I was scared to see how it would all end.

The story is based around yoga instructor Nico and his many relationships with different women. Luna did an excellent job shaping each characters personality and displaying the level of narcissism and manipulation that each women went through. It was so sad it was almost tragic. There are people out there like this and I think Luna gave a great example of it in this book. I loved every minute of it while simultaneously hating Nico and these women. This book will definitely get to you psychologically.

I really enjoyed that this book was erotic, dark, and heartrending all in one. I don't know how Luna made Nico so hot and alluring and oh so hot, but so terrible at the same time. I had so many different emotions running through me while I read this book and I guiltily loved every second of it. I have not read another book like this. I loved that it was different and something I have not read before and that it talks about a serious relationship issue. I applaud Luna Saint Claire for creating this masterpiece. She no doubt did her research. The amount of yoga information in this book totally blew me away. It made Nico seem not so bad at times because he was supposed to be this spiritual and kind person who could never do anything wrong. As much as I thought I had it all figured out, this book took me on a whirlwind of twists and one emotion to the next in a matter of seconds.

I highly recommend anyone read this book. I loved it.

Review by The Club

If you love a good plot and not your normal romance this is the perfect book for you.

Nico the yoga/shaman is charismatic, handsome and addictive. Several women come into play the light the book but only one remains to the end. With that being said, there are many ups and downs in this story. Nico can make any woman want him without effort and has them pleading to stay in his life when he cuts them out. He finds easy prey, takes from them and demands their full attention to the point of being crazy. He emotionally abuses these women and makes them the ink they are wrong. It's classic signs of an emotional abuser. But there is more to it then just that. He draws them in, connects with them on a deeper level, then it's let they can't let go. With all his spiritual rituals among other things he tethers them to himself.
He is wounded and has no real emotion of love even though he claims he loves them all. It's a roller coaster of epic proportions. At first, I wanted him to find love. I hoped with the right woman he would stop his crazy antics but as the story progresses I knew it couldn't happen. He just got worse. More high strung and demanding to the point of crazy and physically abusive. The author made you like it him at first and then quickly turned to hate. I really hated his character and I felt for the women because they didn't understand it.
I loved the idea of this story, the way the author explained so much of the spiritual aspects and the sex was hot. But I felt like it dragged. It was so long and there was a lot of things that happened but it could have been shortened. Then it ended abruptly. No real explanation to his root problem and what happened.

narcissism
ˈnɑːsɪsɪz(ə)m,nɑːˈsɪsɪz(ə)m/Submit
noun
noun: narcissism
excessive interest in or admiration of oneself and one's physical appearance.

Luna Saint Claire has done an incredible job with such a difficult and powerful topic. It is not everyday I read this type of books and I found myself so engrossed in the story and with all its characters, I couldn't wait to read to the end.

Nico, a sociopath is a Yoga instructor and as such he has the ability to interact with several women, he is described by Luna as someone so incredibly hot, sexy and charming yet, dangerous, mysterious, egotistical and completely narcissistic. Just by reading his description you can see how twisted his whole persona is, however you can't help but like him, I think you basically have your own love-hate relationship with him whilst reading this book.
I was in awe of the level of writing and the exceptionally polished dialogues, the sexual tensions and encounters are off the charts but the eroticism of the book is written with poise and grace.

With alternating POV's this book has never a dull moment and as with most psychological thrillers you are constantly expecting one thing when the author surprises you with last minute twists as the story progresses. It's edgy, dark and totally mesmerising.

Within the story Luna gives the readers the ability to overcome such "issues" which I thought was very clever as we aren't only presented with the problem but also with the solution to being a victim or a prey to that type of character.

The Sleeping Serpent is mind-boggling beautiful and a fabulous Debut novel from Luna. BRAVO!.

This is a fast paced, erotic stand alone. I recommend this for adults only due to very graphic sexual content. When I started this book, I was not prepared at the anger it would provoke in me. I was caught between awe and astonishment. I can understand attachment but to the extreme of these women was beyond my comprehension. I wanted to get lost in the book but unfortunately it was not something that held my attention very long.

Nico Romero is a very good-looking yoga guru. He is confident to the point of being narcissistic. In his profession he helps others, and once you are in his favor, he takes every advantage possible. His devoted followers will do anything to please him and are desperate for his approval. Nico sees his control as an obligation. All in due time he gets caught up in his own madness.

Favorite passages:
"Standing in front of the mirror, Luna's eyes remained fixed on the ballet mistress, who moved like a magical bird and had arms like the wings of an angel."
"It's quite haunting... but I love it," she remarked."
"Friends are like stars. You cannot always see them, but they are always there."
"He was part of her, like a tattoo."<3
"Though its clarity may be obscured as dust on a mirror- love is eternal."

Let me start by saying that this isn't my normal read, but I was offered this book in order to give an honest review. I have to say that when I began reading this book that found it slow going, however that changed as the book progressed and I moved deeper and deeper into the book as well as the psyche of the characters. Not only narcissistic sociopath Nico, but the psyche's of the women who he "charmed" and manipulated to do his bidding, keeping them on his emotional roller coaster ride, plying them with the words they want and need, seducing them with his words and body. This book is very well written. From the description of the scene to the extremely hot and sometimes graphic sex scenes. It was an amazing look not only into the mind of Nico, but also into the minds of the women he charmed and seduced with his healing powers through yoga. And not just any woman. Smart, beautiful, successful women who had what HE needed to make HIS dreams come true. If you like a darker read and are not concerned with the conventional HEA, then this book is definitely for you and I highly recommend it.

My Review

Luna takes an amazingly moving, spellbinding, crazy journey with Nico.

When you first start the story you honestly will never guess where you are going to end up. Nico spirals so completely out of control redemption for his sins aren’t even possible. At least for me.

Nico had so many different woman, who helped him and were “helped” by him. I really wanted it to be a story about a down fall that could be turned around. This story was something else entirely. The downward spiral never stopped for Nico. It just became more and more and included more and more people.

I loved it. It isn’t a story your expecting. The ending isn’t something you think you can predict. This story doesn’t apologize for its self. It just is.

There are some really intense parts, these might be hard for some people to read an digest. I can how easily this story can offend, but it isn’t written to be intentionally offensive. It’s a story about a broken man, and the women who were lucky/unlucky to have known him. Who is really the unlucky/lucky ones are up to you to decide.

An astonishing debut novel, that leaves you pondering for days; it seeps into your subconscious and doesn’t let go. The description of the book, as being a psychological erotic thriller is spot on, at times you think to yourself, “I couldn’t have possibly read that right” and yes, you did read it correctly! In the beginning of the story you see how Nico operates and why he does what he does, and at times you even feel bad for him; slowly but surely his true colors come slapping you in the face. You wonder how could anyone possibly let Nico treat them as poorly as he does, but you start seeing yourself in these girls. I think that is a true sign of a great author, when you can identify with not only the “villain” of the story but the “heroine” as well! Luna Saint Claire’s meticulous details paint an extremely vivid world that you want to live in! This book took me a little bit longer than usual to finish, I didn’t want to miss a single detail! I am looking forward to the next book by this incredible author.

I honestly don't know where to begin. Unlike the majority of the comments on here, I really didn't like the book for a multitude of reasons. Perhaps I don't "understand" the nature of obsession, but, be that as it may, the book, ultimately, just wasn't very good. The nonstop tedious descriptions of clothing and decor detracted greatly from the story and was out of place and unnatural. The dialogue was both cringe worthy and just plain bad. Also, I'm not a prude and was actually kind of impressed that the author didn't resort to standard erotic tropes - much - but the sex scenes inevitably became redundant as how many times can you explain the same acts again and again. Finally, it was far too long. This book could have been cut down and the point would have remained intact. I personally wouldn't recommend, but that's just me.

This is definitely a complete mindf*ck! There are so many people that are like this in real life! It's all about them! This was one of those books that seemed to take me a long time to read. Yes, the book is over 400 pages, but I have to admit that at times I was having to re-read parts because there was some real twisted shit that Nico would pull and I would catch myself thinking, I know I read that wrong because there just cannot be that many crazy and gullible women out there. But he was good at manipulating people. All people! But if you like a story that is a romance but has a dark twist to it and is different than most books out there, then this may just be the next 5 star book you are looking for.

The dark side of yoga leaps front and center in this action-packed spiritual/erotic thriller. There's the constant feeling of being on the edge of your seat as you turn page after page astounded at how deceitful, duplicitous, the human mind can be. As a psychotherapist specializing in treating victims of abusive religion, I thought the writer expertly tapped into the dynamics of a troubled mind at work under the guise of spirituality and healing. I kept wondering how the protagonist could be so taken in; then I realized that such evil takes place all the time, right without us taking seriously what we see in our ashrams, churches, and yoga studios. Readers beware - this powerful read is only for those of daring and intrepid spirit!

Wow! This book was so detailed, down to the differences in personality of each character, that it makes for a mind blowing read. I couldn’t put the book down even when it frustrated me. The Sleeping Serpent is a story focused around a yoga instructor and the way that he manipulated a variety of women into doing whatever he wanted. The author’s approach was both dark and fascinating to see the way each woman became a victim and what they did once they were in that position. Luna Sait Claire also wrote Nico in a way that makes you see him the way the woman he manipulates did despite how despicable of a character he really is. It was definitely a page turner. Anyone who likes a detailed heartrending thriller will love this book!

I really enjoyed this book. Without spoilers, I loved this book because it was different than many others in the same genre. I read a lot, so coming across something different and not what I'm expecting is always thrilling. This book was a breath of fresh air.

For a debut novel, the writing is stunning. The storyline is very unique. Nico is a disturbed character but it leaves you reading more. I am a sucker for a twisted story.

The Sleeping Serpent
 by Luna Saint Claire

☆☆☆4 stars☆☆☆

This erotic twist of a story about how easily you can be manipulated by a skilled narcissist had my heart and mind screaming. If you've ever been in a similar situation, you will truly feel a deeper connection to the woman that were taken for an emotional ride by this man.

Nico is a yoga instructor, which is a great cover for what he really is. He has some major sex appeal that reels his victims in, all the while oblivious to the darkness that lies behind his false facade.

These women are under his control, he holds all the cards, and they would do anything to make him happy. He plays on their love and devotion to a tee. What Nico wants, Nico gets, or he twists it into a blame game and you lose.

Mixed in the dark chaos Nico brings to life, is some of the hottest, dirtiest sex I've come across. That man definitely has a naughty mouth and the moves to go along with it. An exciting debut novel by Luna Saint Claire, and I'm looking forward to her next story!

I had an obsessive bond with this book! I simply could not put it down. Truth be told, I don't usually read books that have this much "steam" but the story and characters were the true driving forces of the story and the explicit descriptions helped to build quite the story arc. With equal parts, fashion, passion and yoga, it was highly visual and spiritual. The LA scene of agents, marketing and branding was totally spot on. It is hard not to sympathize with Luna Saint Claire as she navigates new territory and tries her best to control an uncontrollable relationship with a truly despicable antagonist. I heard that there will be more in the compelled series and can't wait to read more!
