Another interesting murder mystery, with several twists and turns. Every time another layer was peeled back and you think the answer is there, it’s not. It’s easy to get discouraged. I also like that the protagonist gets called out a lot on her sleuthing. She’s got a good intuition and observations, but at the same time it would be unrealistic to not eventually have people start realizing what she’s doing, and not being annoyed with her scheming (especially poor Brian, who she basically used). She doesn’t exactly try to hide it. I remember finding it strange that most people seemed to be fine with just talking to her, a stranger, and answering her questions. But it did end up catching up to her. Sometimes even when you are ahead of everyone, or can solve something, you don’t get all of the glory.

Love the whole Patsy Kelly Investigates teen crime fiction series. Loved reading these in my teens.

an enjoyable read the way the lead character speaks is very simple and at times it felt as easy as watching a movie. would have liked more plot twists but i enjoyed it nonetheless.

I really liked this.
* It took me ages to work out who the real murderer was.
* Every time that Patsy found out a new bit of information and it seemed to point towards one person, she'd then discover something else which wouldn't fit.
* Poor Helen that so many people might have killed her!
* Still not really sure where Patsy stands with Billy though. At least Brian is gone, but they still haven't discussed the latest kiss!
