After faced with crippling loss, a heartbroken raven must find her wings again...

Treasure hunters are trained to find things, but all Morgana has known is loss. When someone she loves dies because she can’t protect them, she shies away from the world, too afraid to let anyone else get close. That won’t last long because ravens aren’t ones to pass up on shiny things.

Cody has never really felt accepted. He’s a coyote shifter of Native American heritage, but he gets his looks from his Scandinavian mother, unlike his siblings and the rest of his people. That makes him all the more dedicated when what seemed like a freak tornado becomes something much scarier.

When Cody realizes that his family’s powerful talisman has slips into the wrong hands, he desperately needs help. But he never imagined he’d be fall head over heels for the beautiful, if not, mysterious treasure hunter. Morgana will need to let go of being hurt again if they have any hope of saving not only each other, but also the small town that they both love from disaster.

No cliffhangers. Moonlit Feathers is a standalone paranormal romance.

Treasures come in many different packages
This is the story of a Treasure Hunter Raven shifter named Morgana who has turned into herself after losing her partner and lover. And about a coyote shifter named Cody who is all but alienated by most of his family with the exception of his grandmother. Cody is also a college student. Cody comes to Morgana for her help in finding a powerful talisman that belonged to his family for generations and thought to be lost after a recent isolated tornado hit his family’s house. And then we have some bad guys with magic trying to find the talisman at any cost. The attraction between Cody and Morgana is there but she wants to keep her distance because she believes anyone who gets close to her dies. This is a very well written self contained story that highly entertaining to read. I highly recommend this book. Woodland Creek series are several self-contained stories all with HEA’s and all written by several different authors.

Moonlit Feathers :Woodland Creek
by Sarah Makela, Woodland Creek
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I remember when I first started to reading a lot of paranormal romance to the point that I didn't find much to read because I didn't know about the authors. But as I search my favorite book sites I found a few authors and Sarah Makela was one I decided to read and WOW I'm glad I did, I found I was drawn to her books. The storyline was well written, her characters are unique, believeable and enjoyable.
It seems I really enjoyed reading Sarah Makela novels- and when this book became available, I decided to get it as an opportunity to spend some quality time with my book. This is a book of Moonlit Feathers Woodland Creek from Sarah Makela she is a classic yarn-spinner, and I recommend it to anyone wishing to just read and relax with a awesome story told by on of the best. I'm through the book, but as I am savoring it's entertainment, I'm enjoying the journey, and invite others to come along.

Cody knows that his family’s powerful talisman has slips into the wrong hands, he desperately needs help. But he never imagined he’d be fall head over heels for the beautiful, if not, mysterious treasure hunter. Morgana will need to let go of being hurt again if they have any hope of saving not only each other, but also the small town that they both love from disaster.

What can one say about Sarah Makela that has not already been said. Her books are masterpieces. Her ability to build characters and describe scenes is amazing , one could close ones eyes and imagine being right in the her world. Her ability to bring her characters to life and weave a adventurous tale of daring and romance was breathtaking. My first read of her work was 'The Witch Who Cried Wolf: New Adult Shifter Romance Cry Wolf Series and my memory of my fascination of that story is still crystal clear today.

"Trouble brings them together"
This book is incredible!. It is so hard to put down!. This book is exciting right from the beginning!. The story line is fantastic and the characters are awesome!. Morgana is a treasure hunter she is also a raven shape shifter. While flying over the forest near her home Morgana spots some thing shinny on the ground. When her and her raven swoop down to see what it is it looks like a gold ball. Only not like any gold they have ever seen. So Morgana takes it to a wizard friend of hers Kevin to see if he has a clue as she senses magic about the ball. Morgana had not been treasure hunting sense she lost her human lover during a hunt.
Cody is a coyote shape shifter and a student at the near by college. His family had lost a magical and rare talisman awhile back when a tornado had hit his families home. While in the library at school one day he over hears some students talking about an odd magical happening in the forest. He follows them and finds hints of his families talisman being used. So he goes to Morgana for help in finding it. Morgana had never planned to fall for anyone ever again. Only her and Cody can not fight their attraction for each other. They soon find out an evil wizard is looking for the Talisman to as the Talisman can turn things into gold. You will love this amazing intense and suspenseful Romance!! It is a must must read book!!

I received an ARC of "Moonlit Feathers" from the author, in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my goodness, "Moonlit Feathers" is the first book I've read by Sarah Mäkelä, not knowing what I was in for I started this book, I was soon drawn into the story. "Moonlit Feathers" is Sarah's installment for the "Woodland Creek" collection, a collaboration of 30 authors all writing about 1 little town in Indiana USA, I was intrigued with the concept behind this collection.

What a thrill, also it left me a little emotional.... kinda reminds me of Lara Croft, minus the shifter part. A shifter treasure hunter on the search for a missing talisman for the family missing it, a bad wizard after the power from the talisman... yep, totally Lara Croft here, I could even imagine her taking flight. The action, magic, shifters, adventure, suspense... all roled into a pretty intense ride.

I need to read more books from Sarah Mäkelä & I also can't wait to read what the others have written for the "Woodland Creek" collection.

Once again, Sarah has outdone herself. This time, she has taken the paranormal and added twist upon twist. We have shifters, starting with Morgana, the treasure hunting raven shifter, then Cody, a bit of an outcast, bullied and picked on by his siblings and parents for being different, raised by his shaman grandmother. He is a coyote shifter. Throw in a couple of wizards, both good and bad and you have the beginning of an awesome "Indiana Jones" type action adventure. Be prepared, because once you start to read this, there is no putting it down until you are finished reading it. Morgana and Cody are thrown together as they try to find the lost talisman of Cody's family after an unexplained tornado hit and destroyed his family home. Morgana, reeling from the loss of her late boyfriend/assistant, feels she is not ready to start another relationship, especially due to the nature of her work. Cody is determined to win her over. An awesome book and a must read in my opinion. Well done!

CAPTIVATING, SEXY AND DELICIOUSLY ENTERTAINING !!!
Title: Moonlit Feathers
Series: Woodland Creek Kindle World Collection
Designation: Paranormal Romance, Standalone Novella, NO CLiffhanger
Author: Sarah Makela
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: Five Captivating Stars*****
Wow! Another stunning story from the incredibly imaginative mind of Sarah Makela! I'm a huge Sarah Makela fan and became completely smitten with her work in 2013 after reading The Witch Who Cried Wolf, the first release in the Cry Wolf Series. I began reading everything in her published library of work and became completely addicted, so much so that I contacted her and begged for a spot on her review team. Thus began my love affair with all things Makela and the rest, as they say, is history. Somehow, I missed this story when it was originally released so I was delighted when I realized there was still one of her books I had not yet devoured. Thankfully, that has now been remedied. Moonlit Feathers is Makela's contribution to the Woodland Creek Kindle World Collection and was released in November of 2015 in conjunction with stories from 28 other well-known bestselling authors. The Woodland Creek Kindle World Collection is a collaborative, fictional collection of Shifter stories set in the town of Woodland Creek, Indiana, a quaint college town full of old-world charm - with plenty to tantalize shifter, magical, and human residents alike. In Woodland Creek, the supernatural townsfolk protect their secrets with firepower, claws, or spells. It's a well-known secret that's not so secret and the humans live mostly oblivious (unless they're eaten). Oh my! Every single book in this collection is a standalone novella with a guaranteed happy ending. Moonlit Feathers is an exciting, fast-paced and well-crafted story. The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with clearly defined his and her perspectives from the two protagonists, beautiful raven shifter treasure hunter Morgana and handsome college student and coyote shifter Cody. The dialogue is smart, easy to follow, natural, well executed and flows effortlessly. There's just something about Makela's writing that appeals to me. Her style is natural, comfortable and easy to follow. It feels almost like getting into your favorite tattered old robe, curling up under an afghan and drinking a warm cup of tea on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I was fascinated by the premise of this story, a community of humans living obliviously alongside a plethora of various supernaturals who have been drawn to the area because of its unique location and natural magical properties. But as much as I enjoyed the imaginative plot for this story, it's the extraordinary cast of characters that drew me in and captured my heart. Morgana and Cody were intriguing, captivating and engaging. Which brings me to another thing I truly adore about Makela's writing: the way she writes the shifters in her stories. It's unusual, unique and quite fascinating. She always refers to them as if they're a separate entity and when one of her characters refers to themselves, instead of saying I, she often uses the pronoun we, meaning the human and the animal. For example, her characters will say, we think or we feel, as if the animal is a separate entity, yet still a part of that person, but she gives them a voice. The insight she offers her readers into the thoughts of the animals is truly remarkable. If I didn't know better, I'd swear Sarah Makela is secretly a shifter of some kind. But shifters aren't real. Or are they? Hmm....I wonder???

Beautiful twenty-one-year-old raven shifter Morgana came to Woodland Creek looking for a fresh start after the devastating loss of her parent and her human boyfriend. Being a treasure hunter can be quite dangerous and has cost her everything, but ti's in her blood and the only thing she knows how to do...and she does it very well. She's very successful at her job and it seems, the demand for her services is great. Sure, she may be in a slump right now but she'll find a way to pull through. She'll just bury her feelings along with her heart and refuses to get close to anyone...and will never have another relationship. Everyone she has ever loved has been killed and she never wants to feel that pain again. Too bad local college student Cody doesn't get the memo. He needs her services to help him locate a very dangerous magical family artifact that went missing after a sudden tornado destroyed his family's home. Cody has always felt unloved, unaccepted and shunned by his Native American family. They can't seem to accept Cody because he looks nothing like a Native American with his blonde hair, blue eyes, and nordic good looks, but when he sets eyes on the beautiful Morgana, the only person whose approval he seeks is hers. Unfortunately, the lovely treasure hunter refuses his attempts to win her affections. Unlike her last boyfriend who was human, Cody is coyote shifter who can take care of himself and it's a good thing because it seems Cody and Morgana will need all their skills if they are to survive the job of recovering the dangerous and powerful lost artifact. But will the stubborn, independent treasure hunter give Cody a chance to prove he can be a capable and worthy partner, on this case as well as in her bed? We'll see!
Did I like this book? No, I loved it! Would I recommend this book? You bet but only for adult readers since it does contain some steamy dreamy romance. Will I read this author again? ABsolutely! Was I entertained? Totally! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, I am a huge fan of this authors work and this book just makes me an even bigger fan. I would love to read more about this series and the characters within it!!!

This storyline is amazing, I loved how you didn't know what was going to happen next, it is very exciting and thrilling to read! One of the themes that really warmed my heart was seeing that being alone isn't always the key, that sometimes letting someone in emotionally, although a risk can makes us stronger and open to other possibilities. I love the ending of the book, it is definitely something that makes me smile!

Morgana really touched me, I think that was because I saw a lot of myself in her character. She puts a wall around herself and her heart so she doesn't get hurt or hurt anyone else and although she comes across as very confident and essentially a bad ass, she is also very vulnerable and fragile at the same time. I think that this makes her extremely relatable to readers though and I liked seeing both sides of her. Copy is extremely easy to read about, I loved him s character. He has also been through a lot in his life especially rejection, but going through these experiences has made him the Strong and independent man that he is. He is protective and will go to the ends of the earth for those he loves.

This book is an extremely addictive read that once you start it, you can't stop. This is a fantastic book written with such talent by an amazing author. I can't recommend her work highly enough.

MMC is one of those “nice guys”: the second fMC withdraws her consent he acts like an ass. She’s fucking crying because someone just threatened her, and he gets angry because she doesn’t want to make out with him anymore. She doesn’t tell him why, but she shouldn’t need to justify herself, especially when this guy was a perfect stranger. They’ve known each other for like a day, yet our MMC acts as if fMC owes him her attention and expects (no, demands) she give him a chance. Fuck him. It was pretty boring to begin with, and when I started reflecting on this book I just realized how problematic it is. The only way to traumatize a native american person was to whitewash him? Really? We couldn’t find any other way for the NATIVE AMERICAN CHARACTER to be a loner than “oh, my family doesn’t like me because I’M WHITE”?!

This was a great adventure romance for raven shifter, Morgan, and coyote shifter, Cody. She's a treasure hunter that has walled off her heart due to loss and yet is still a fierce gal, and he's such a strong and independent male due to a life time of rejection. These two need to work together to find the missing talisman but their journey isn't simple. Add in two wizards, a goodie and a baddie, and you know you're going to be in for an engaging reading ride. Definitely a page turner with mystery, action, adventure, magic, twists, suspense and romance. Good fun!

A wonderfully amazing captivating story that takes you through heart ache and learning to get past it. Morgana put up walls around herself to protect not only herself but those she cared for. A thrilling read with nice characters and Cody is fun to read about. He has been a lot but he came out stronger for it. And together Morgana and Cody are a major page turner. A great read with a little bit of everything.

New life for Morgana.

I enjoyed reading this book. I must admit though that I got so caught up in the engagements because the descriptions were so vivid, I could see them with my mind's eye.

Excellent, well developed characters. Morgana and Cody were memorable. Most times, my focus was on them rather than on the storyline.

A good, captivating story, well worth reading if you are a paranormal fan.

I received this for an honest review. This was a very interesting story. I so enjoy Sarah Makela’s work. She is such an amazing creative author.

My heart broke for Morgana. She was a raven shifter who had suffer so much loss. It was to the point that she thought she was bad luck. How sad it must of been to feel afraid to get close to anyone scared something bad will happen to them because of you.

Cody was this nice looking hard headed coyote shifter. He felt a connection between him and Morgana. He knew he saw sorrow and hurt but did not understand how deep they sorrow and hurt really went. He was determined not to let Morgana push him away. I found it interesting that both shifters could not tell the other was shifter.

Cody needed Morgana help. She was skilled at finding missing treasures and Cody’s family had a missing talisman that had some powerful magic. Some very bad people were looking for his talisman as well. It could be very dangerous if it got in the wrong hands.

There is not only a relationship blossoming between Cody and Morgana but in this book there is also hurt and betrayal, danger, and death. With everything going down Morgana has to wonder if it is wise on letting Cody get close. Will they be able to survive everything they are getting ready to face?

Sarah's Moonlit Feathers by Sarah Makela

Morgana is a raven shifter and treasure hunter. When someone shevloves dies because she couldn't protect them, she withdraws from the world. Until she meets Cody. She knows his someone special but can she let herself get close to someone again and help them as well.

Cody is a coyote shifter of Native American heritage, but he gets his looks from his Scandinavian mother. He has never been accepted because of his looks, except by his grandmother. When his family's talisman goes missing, his gran tells him they have to find it. It's powerful and dangerous and can't fall into the wrong hands. He seeks help from a treasure hunter but doesn't expect the beautiful Morgana. He falls for her but she has emotional issues.

Can they work through their problems together and save each other, as well as the small town they both love.

This book posed a little bit of a conundrum for me because I loved the concept of the story and the storyline, and I really liked the characters. But Cody and Morgana's relationship didn't really work for me. I found it to be a bit bland and rushed at times. But saying that I still really enjoyed it and overall it was an interesting read.

maybe he would be my light in the dark. 5 GOLD STONES

FLYING RAVEN FEATHERS!! What a HOWLING GLIMMERRIFIC story!! Now THIS is what I mean!! THIS is a true Sarah Makela treasure! Barely a couple of pages in and I am ABSO-KRAWING-LUTELY caught! Just like the raven with a glimmer on the forest floor! The almost poetic wording just draws me in like no other! I love the magic, the majestic thoughts & storytelling because every time the humor hits, it’s even all the more funny because of it! There is lots to crow about... errr... raven about in this one! I love the first person from both Morgana & Cody BECLAWS it not only lets us into know them better, but it enriches the story as a whole, pulling me in even deeper to ALL parts of the story. I love how the Raven and Morgana are two that are one. The same with Cody & Coyote. The separation without separation is glimmer brilliant! It caught my attention immediately and had me eagerly reading & discovering everything there is to know about each "side", how the shift happens both from Human to Raven/Coyote and back again, whether each side is truly independent, but "sharing" the same "body", etc. In fact, I can't recall any other shifter book that is like this one!! Sarah sure knows how to switch things up and make these shifters all her own, time and again!! My favorite parts about shifter books is when each side has its own personality - or ravenality & coyoteality, as the case may be - and how they communicate with each other etc. I think that Sarah did an ABSO-GROWLING-LUTELY PAWFECT & WINGTASTIC job with this and the ENTIRE STORY!! In fact, in my opinion, this is Sarah's BEST. BOOK. EVER. I haven't read all of her older books, but have read all of her more recent ones, and this one is just so GRRRREAT, so MARAVENLOUS, so.. so... SHIFTACULAR!!! It is paws down & wings up my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE book by Sarah!! Which is saying a LOT because I love both her Beneath the Broken Moon Serial & her Cry Wolf Series!! With her FURNOMENAL talent, Sarah has me eagerly awaiting more books and hoping & preying, I mean praying, that she has plans to write more books just like this one!! The kind of story that speaks to me, that pulls me in until I AM the story and the characters & shifters, and never wanting it to end!! Curiosity might have killed the cat, but in this case it leads a Raven and a Coyote to find their Happy Feathery Furry Tail together!!

I absolutely loved 98% of this book. Seriously, the final chapter felt like it had been tacked on by a different author trying to satisfy the erotic readers out there without a hint of the paranormal that had been in the other 98% of the book. The indie shifter books on the market all feature werewolves (usually Scottish, country, or biker), dragon shifters, or bear shifters, so it’s refreshing to hit something that doesn’t have any of the above. Cody felt a bit inconsistent. The first couple of chapters from his point of view made him sound like a high school senior, while each time we saw him from Morgana’s viewpoint he looked more like in his mid-twenties. Personally, my favorite character was Kevin, who I definitely hope gets his own book eventually (even though he did have a Dresden vibe to him). The story itself had a fun blend of Native American culture, and mystery, as well as the action and adventure, and a dash of magic. I did notice this had been written as part of a collection of stories by different authors, so sadly it didn’t look like the author had written any sequels with the characters.

Morgana is a raven shifter. She is a treasure hunter. Her raven craves the shiny treasure and she inherited the passion from her father. Cody is Native American mix and is a coyote shifter. He is looking for a talisman that belongs to his family. It was thought to be destroyed when a tornado destroyed his grandmother’s home. Cody finds evidence that the talisman survived. He meets Morgana for help. Will Morgana and Coty survive the hunt for this treasure? Will Cody survive his instant attraction to Morgana? Give it a read and I am sure you will enjoy the story. There are a few twists and turns in the plot and has plenty of action. The character are strong, funny and entertaining. The author weaves magic and shifters together in this storyline and creates a magical world. I enjoyed reading Cody and Morgana’s story and I am sure others will too.

I have never been disappointed by a Sarah Makela story. I am often surprised by what direction the story goes and I enjoy knowing that I will get an interesting storyline.

Morgana is a raven shifter and works as a treasure hunter like her father. She feels like she is cursed to live a life of pain after losing her parents at a young age and her human lover. She has retreated and tries to limit her contact with others but needs some money.

Cody is a cougar shifter and a college student. He comes from a Native American background and one of their artifacts may have been stolen so he requests Morgana's assistance in locating it. He does not expect to want to make a personal connection as well.

Morgana agrees to help but tries to keep it professional. It is not easy with both of them craving something more. Someone wants the artifact desperately and is willing to kill to get it.

It is a quick read with a storyline that keeps you guessing. It is a story of two people who need healing. Morgana is hurting and she has to make a decision about whether she is willing to take a risk on a new love after losing her last lover. She feels a lot of blame for his death and doesn't want her job to endanger Cody or anyone else. Cody looks very different from his family and as a cougar shifter he feels the difference strongly. He wants to have someone to want him and he is a little defensive with Morgana when she tries to explain her struggle to commit to him personally. They really care about one another and can heal each other if they let each other in.

Another great addition to the Woodland Creek World. I loved it. As a Raven shifter, Morgana is a beautiful bird, but when she's human, she is in pain. She lost her boyfriend Ezra, during one of their treasure hunting jobs. She knew she had advantages over him, being human, and she could shift and fly away. So she has a lot of blame- which really isn't needed. But when she moves to Woodland Creek- running from her past, she never expected to meet Cody- the Coyote shifter. Cody is desperate to find a magical talisman that belongs to his tribe. There's great power but it can also be really bad if the person trying to use it had not so nice intentions. So, he finds Morgana to help him track it down. He didn't expect her either. And their chemistry is awesome, though he wants her and is honest about it, and she is still running. She doesn't want to let anyone in, because they have the power to hurt her. And yet, Cody being bullied and cast aside by his whole family is still willing to give it a try. He has never fit in or felt loved, except by his grandma. Yeah, Grandma is wise woman cool and a bit creepy too LOL. And then we have the extra scary wizard who wants to have too much power. I couldn't put this one down and I loved the writing. The story made me smile because both Cody and Morgana healed themselves while healing the other. They make a wonderful team, though it took a minute for them to get that. I am so happy that Cody kept going for her. And that she finally gave in. Yeah, this one is really great!! 5 PAWS!!

Another must read "stand-alone" story from the awesome Woodland Creek compilation of 30 authors! What PNR fiction reader doesn't love shape shifters & evil wizards?! This was the first book I've read by Ms. Mäkelä, but certainly won't be my last. As an avid werewolf shifter reader, I was pleasantly surprised by this different type of shifters story. It was definitely an interesting, emotional read, revolving around two lonely souls that connect despite their differences. At times I was pulled into this story of fantasy & magic with some great action and suspense, and twists & turns that will definitely engage the reader and keep the pages turning. I never write spoilers or recap blurb reviews, but I will say that this is a must read for paranormal fiction lovers. So make sure to add it to your TBR list. Even though I was given a copy to read in exchange for an honest review, I really do recommend this book.

I received this for my honest review. This has been a great shifter read with a difference, Morgana, treasure hunter and raven shifter has been dealt her fair share of grief and is still getting over the loss of her human lover while on a hunt. Cody is a coyote shifter just trying to get along after being brought up mainly by his grandmother because his parents didn't know how to be around him, but when he here's of strange magic happening he goes to his grandmother who tells him he has to find the lost talisman. This is how he meets Morgana and they go on the hard task of finding it, but they are drawn into much more than just the recovery of it with danger and questions as well as dealing with there emotions for each other. loved reading this and as usual Sarah Makela does not disappoint.

Very touching story of the loneliness of two shifters who have been hurt in vastly different ways and come to realize that they may be the solution to bring some happiness into their lives.

Morgana is a Raven shifter who is still mourning the death of her human lover and partner. She refuses to let anyone into her life for fear of history repeating itself.

Cody is a Native American Coyote shifter who has always been shunned by his people because of the color of his skin, he lives a lonely life, until he meets Morgana. But will she accept the fact that he is a shifter, because neither one knows that the other is one.

Lots of pain, hope and magic in this compelling story.

Moonlit Feathers was beautiful in portraying Morgana and her past. Morgana has faced a lot of loss and she’s now keeping herself apart from people. Her family business is treasure hunting which fits well with her raven and shiny objects. I couldn’t help but to like Cody. Cody hasn’t had the best past with his family, but he hasn’t known loss.

As Cody and Morgana work together to track down the talisman, there is a lot more danger to both of them and possibly the town. They have to survive the danger if they are going to get the treasure and have a future with each other. Morgana was a lot stronger both emotionally and physically than she realized. The story wound through the danger and the mystery at a good pace. It was just the right amount of suspense.

I love shifter stories and this is my first ever Raven shifter and coyote shifter story. it was so different from other books I've read.

It was a romance story but the romance was at the back of it. It was more plot driven then sex driven if you catch my drift.

I love anything Native American so when that was brought into the picture I was happy I just wish there was more folklore in this story about the talisman.

Morgana's pain over her lost boyfriend which was explained at the beginning of the story so no spoilers was heart crushing and I can understand her pain and I can also understand how Cody feels by the way he was treated by his family.

I adored Codys grandmother even though she had a small part.

I enjoyed reading this story. I love second chance at love story that was definitely the case with Morgana and Cody. Morgana is a treasure hunter who isolated herself after carrying around the guilt heartache of losing her partner and lover name Ezra. Cody a coyote shifter who consider himself the black sheep of the family all with exception of his grandmother who excepted him with open arms. I don't want to give too much away but Cody and Morgana crosses paths when Cody asked Morgana for her help which leads them on an epic adventure. Overall a real entertaining read and I highly recommend that you read this story. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Sarah Makela.

Morgana is a special kind of treasure hunter because she is a raven shifter and she can sneak in and get out fast. After loosing her boyfriend Morgana hides herself away from people so she wont get hurt again but when she is enlisted by Cody to help track down his family's talisman she starts to let herself feel again but it could get her killed.

This story was 1 I had to read to the end because it grabbed me when I started reading it and I could not stop. Wizards, shifters and romance, what more could you ask for in a paranormal romance.

Morgana is barely hanging on after losing the love of her life while trying to recover a magical artifact. Heading home she discovers a gold rock that just doesn’t seem right, she takes it to a wizard friend and it sets off a series of events she never could have expected. Cody walks into her life needing help finding his family’s talisman previously thought destroyed in a tornado. Cody falls for Morgana right away, but she is afraid of letting him in, but Cody is persistent and when Morgana gets kidnapped Cody comes to the rescue. Nothing like a near death experience to open your heart 
