A delightful photodocumentary on the real luchadores of Mexico. Although not officially connected, this book provides an in-depth insight to the inspiration behind the movie, Nacho Libre. Over 300 pages of visually stunning photographs that capture the heart and challenges us to reexamine the meaning of humanity.
Hermosa colección de fotografías, crónicas e historias del deporte más infravalorado del país. Personalmente, hizo que me reencontrara por una gran pasión vista ahora desde la óptica de la literatura y la fotografía.
This book is a bit of a mess. It jumps back in forth through the history of Lucha Libre, making it more of a pastiche then a story. But the pictures are fantastic, it gave me a great intro into Luchadores and their cultural significance, and made me want to learn more about them. Also, it's written in English and Spanish so it was good Spanish practice for new learners.
