Between dealing with reports of rogue shifters and untrustworthy Pack Alphas, not to mention negotiating his way into Mack's heart, Corrigan has his hands full. Unfortunately, just when it seems that things might be going his way, there's a new player in town - and he's got death magic at his fingertips.
Corrigan Politics is the fourth book in the Corrigan series, re-telling the events of Blood Politics from Lord Corrigan's point of view.
I thought when I started reading these books that I’d just do a review for the first one to sum up all of them....but I felt an odd pull towards this one to get its own. Why you ask? Bc firstly when I read these books for the very first time in Mack’s POV my heart was literally breaking for Corrigan in that last scene. Oh for sure Mack was having a hard time with it too but Corrigan it just well hit a hell of a lot harder. I always wanted to know exactly what was going through his head at that point and we’ll now ik...and oh boy it hurt even more if that was possible. You see his hope and trust in Mack and you watch it crumble apart as the truth unfolds. Heart....breaking....in all senses of the word.
With this aside it has been ahhmazing watching Corrigan grow as an Alpha and the way he brings much needed change to his shifters. It gives you a complete glimpse as to what he’s dealing with. It opens your eyes and heart even more to this guy bc you begin to respect his character on an even deeper level. You see soo much more into everything he stands for without seeing it through the eyes of Mack. It’s truly be an awesome experience.
Like in Mack’s POV I think this particular story would have to be where my real favouritism hits in for this series. Don’t get me wrong all the books are awesome but by this point this book just seals the deal for and just becomes my favourite. So much just happens in this book, so many changes. it’s like Helen ups It another notch or something. Not sure but it is my favourite one.
Hang in there Corrigan. We all no that there’s sun after a storm.
I was going to add gifs but I didn’t want to go look for them today lol I wanted to get this review out there super quickly so I could then get completely lost in the last book.

Corrigan Politics
59 points/100 (3 stars/5) Warning: Same cliffhanger as before.
Corrigan is the most like the original book so far. There is very little that happens in this book that we didn't already know about. Most of this book just takes place side by side with Mack, just from Corrigan's perspective.
What I was looking forward to the least in this book was the end. I hated it because it originally because it just seems so out of sync with what we know of their personalities. This time we actually know who Corrigan is as a person - and it somehow makes even less sense this time around. Corrigan is typically a pretty down to earth kind of guy...and then he just rages out.
Corrigan Politics begins when Corrigan realizes that Mack is in trouble. But this time it's worse than he thought. She and the rest of the supernaturals must join together to solve this crime. The problem is it will be more dangerous than anything they've ever done before, and Corrigan is bound and determined to get Mack with him now before it is too late. But he never would have expected things to happen the way they did.
This book was really good! I totally loved getting to see Mack and Corrigan together! I also enjoyed getting to see the rest of the sups work together against a terrible foe. The problem though, I was really sick of Mack and extremely mad her for what she does in the end. It's a horrible cliffhanger, and I can not believe she did that. I'm seriously so angry right now! I wanted to strangle her. And I felt so badly for Corrigan. But I'm super excited to read the next book now!
The mistakes in the writing of this series have gone from bad to worse with this 4th book and have started to become distracting in their frequency, especially in the first third of the novel.
In terms of content this book ends very abruptly on a cliffhanger so I will finish the series to see how the story ends but it has been a slow and unusually frustrating love story between the main protagonists.
Strangely the Alpha of a were-everything pack across the whole UK appears to have won his position by killing an unjust predecessor then does everything to turn the pack into a political rather than violent organisation. If this series goes on much longer I’m sure they will all be chanting, vegan yogis so in that respect I’ am rather glad it’s coming to a close.
My main gripe with the whole series is that the woman who is behaving like a spoiled impetuous child throughout is still painted as the strong hero whilst the voice of the book is the male pack alpha who seems to be constantly weak in her presence. usually the author narrates through the eyes of her female heroines so the overt feminist sexism is bearable but in this case not. I find this series very hard to read for that reason despite the idea and world building being good as usual for the author.
"Corrigan Rage" is the forth book in Helen Harper's "Corrigan" series. Corrigan has to deal with rouge shifters in one of his northern packs. But there is more to these shifters than he initially thought. In essence, their split from their pack will spark changes to the traditional dynamics packs have function under for thousands of years. On the Mack front, Corrigan is determined to give her the support he knows she needs, but at the same time he has to back off so she can maintain some level of independence. Overall, I enjoyed reading this novel. Corrigan's actions during this novel help to explain his actions at the end of the next novel.
Ok, so you know how you read a book and then get to the end and think, man it’s over already!!!! Well this series lets you get back to that awesome book so to speak.
I love the fact that while this is Through Corrigan eyes, you relive the series. The characters are her and also the events. Your able to say “ahh, that’s how that happens”, or that’s where he went etc. I am definitely enjoying this series.
Reading Corrigan’s point of view is just good; I love that the writer thought about this concept. Corrigan is so incredibly in love with Mack but way to pompous around her. When he simmers down, he realizes that she comes around. The story is well told, funny and pleasant. I do find that there are a lot of typos and grammar mistake. I don’t usually pay attention to this but it does seem to occur often throughout the various books.
To this reader’s taste, Corrigan’s desire to forgo breath for want of Mack meant this outing didn’t catch my imagination until late in the outing. Corrigan helps Mack on one of her crusades and she faces her feelings for Corrigan; Corrigan implements a controversial experiment. Mack’s in a prime position to slide Mack onto the otherworld coalition as they all unite to defeat an elusive and powerful common enemy as Corrigan’s again hit with betrayal Rating: 3stars
Okay, the Bloodfire series was so good, I couldn't resist this alternate perspective series for the same story. And it's fantastic! You get a unique story that intertwines with the bloodfire series, and you get all the fantastic perspective you could want from Corrigan. It's a light-hearted and exciting read.
Not my favorite Corrigan book, but now I know there is hope for him despite what happens in the very end! Looking forward to seeing what happens next and how his character develops.
Wow it was really good. I like the fact that we see the story from Corrigan's POV it helps to understand what goes on in his mind and all and we see a lot of things we don't know if we only read Blood Politic it's very interesting.
It all coming together or so we thought. What will happen with these two? We already know if you've read the the series but not from Corrigan's point of view and somehow politics always plays a role!
This a book is just another example of the authors awesome ability at story telling. The characters in this series are so detailed you really feel you know them and the plots are awesome.
This is the 4th volume of the Corrigan series. I read the 4th volume of the Blood Destiny series in parallel (chapter by chapter, starting with BD). That way certain paragraphs are obviously repetitive (whenever there is spoken language), but it also creates a very complete understanding of the different characters and their motivs. Personally, I find Corrigan's POV more fascinating, because he is generally more rational and sees plans through. The book is, however, a little bit shorter than the counter part with Mack's POV. Still, I cannot wait to start volume 5 (both versions)!
OK, so I was really looking forward to this one, because I was sure Corrigan was intelligent enough to work it all out. To see what/why Mack did what she did at the end of Blood Politics.
BUT it did not go the way I expected it to. And I'm really angry with the author for that. And really scared about reading the final book.
Wow. What an ending. I'm heartbroken for Corrigan. He deserves so much better.
This was a good book. The otherworlders are fighting a new enemy together, with Mack in the lead. Corrigan and Mack's relationship finally moves forward, but then things go awry.
I'm interested to see how everything plays out in the final book of the series.

I still dont like how much of this book is already written in a different book. However the glimpses into Corrigans life are nice, even though again, we know what is going to happen.
