One taste of her sweet lips and I swore I'd make her mine...
Bikers, babes, and booze. Three things I lived for, all in one dirty package when I decided to throw my brother's bachelor party at the Panama City Bike Rally.
Then she came along and screwed up everything.
The plan was simple. Familiar. Take her home, wreck her for other men, then kick her to the curb by daylight, spent and breathless.
It would've been the perfect night making her scream my name if she hadn't hidden one little fact.
She's Big Roy's property, and he owns her. The Prez of the Liberators MC is used to getting what he wants, and he won't let her go without a fight.
Neither will I.
I'll see him burn in hell before I let him touch her ever again...
I enjoyed the stories- though they were a tad fast on parts, or I felt like some things could have had more info. I think the author did a good job with the steamy parts as those were my favorite parts. I did enjoy the overall storyline for each book. I just would have liked them to be a bit more detailed in some areas and in others - the time jumps didn't quite work for me.
Steel Justice was the second book in the Steel Infidels MC series by Dez Burke. I read it as part of a boxed set but have reviewed each individual story as well.
Steel Justice was Jesse’s story. He was the eldest brother and the MC President and my favorite so far. He was my kind of alpha: strong, protective, smart, fierce, loyal and sexy. He was way to busy for relationships and hadn’t met the right one yet anyway.
Patricia aka Trish has major family issues. But even so she was loyal to a fault. I loved Trish most of the time but she had her stupid moments of drama - it made for a good story, but I didn’t care for her logic.
In the end, Burke took us through Jesse and Trish’s meeting, relationship development and MC conflict, bringing us full circle. I desired more details with the closure of the big conflict but hopefully we’ll get more in the next book. All in all, it was a quick, action packed and entertaining read.
Overall Opinion: This was an ok read. For a mc romance, I would say it was a pretty easy read. I'm not normally one to get really upset about this, but the h and H never used condoms. I don't remember them even having any discussion about safety/pregnancy at all. I know that adding that isn't necessarily sexy, but I do think that having the mcs not even mention it makes them seem ignorant. I was expecting a unexpected pregnancy to pop up for sure . Oh well! I didn't love it, and I didn't hate it...it was just ok.
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Trish and Jesse's story. Trish is working as a beer tub babe at a bar at the time of a bike rally, because her abusive brother needs money and is making her work for it. Jesse is president of the steel infidels mc and is attending the rally with his crew for his brother Flint's bachelor party. Trish shoots him down when he first hits on her, and (since this is something that never happens) Jesse is intrigued by her. Later that night she runs away from her brother and runs into Jesse. Jesse makes it his mission to protect her from his rival (who happens to be the mc that her brother is vp for). After some typical biker drama, some sexy times, some stronger feelings getting developed, some betrayal, and a separation...the couple find their HFN.
POV: This alternated between Trish and Jesse's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. It flowed well, and I didn't find myself skimming. The book did end at 49% on my kindle edition, because it includes Safe House.
Instalove: I'm not sure if this would qualify for most since it wasn't right away, but they basically fell in love in a week...so to me that's pretty instalove.
H rating: 3 stars. Jesse. I liked how he cared and was committed to the h...otherwise meh.
h rating: 3 stars. Trish. I wish she was stronger in her relationship with her brother, because she definitely had doormat status with him.
Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.
Heat level: Moderate. They have some sexy times, but I'd say it was pretty low for a mc romance.
Descriptive sex: Yes.
OW/OM drama: No. Only thing close is H puts his arm over the shoulder of OW after h blew him off (and nothing physical has happened between h and H at this point).
Sex scene with OW or OM:
Cheating:
Possible Triggers:
Closure: It had ok closure, I wanted more time with them as a couple after their conflict was resolved. Even though there are some big developments in their relationship, I would still call this a HFN ending.
Worth the $?: It is available through kindle unlimited, so yes. At the 0.99 on Amazon, I'd still say yes.
This was a great book, although I wished it were longer. Unfortunately, I realized that there are two books before this one and I really would have liked to read them first. Still a great read, now off to read the first two!
**I received a An ARC copy of Steel Justice. And I'm not being paid for this review** This is Trish and Jessie's love Journey. Can a heavily tattooed bad boy biker love an abused and innocent young woman.? Jesse is the president and straight up alpha leader of the steel infidels. That's a MC Club. This is a MC club that is into how should I say this illegal activity. Even though Jesse is the president of this club he is pretty much a loner. And no one ever messes with him. But one day he sees a girl at a bar and he is absolutely entranced with her beauty. ( OK and her body) And for the first time he is on sure of himself. However Jesse never a wimp introduces himself to Trish. His brain catches up to other parts of his anatomy. And he realizes that this girl could be the ONE. But the trouble is...she happens to be the sister of one of his sworn enemies. As you can imagine mayhem ensues. I really enjoyed this installment I cannot wait to find out what happens to Jesse's younger brother Sam. But I'm patiently waiting! Definitely five stars and I recommend this book to you. <3 <3 <3
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: MC Spice: Yes 🥵 Series: Steel Infidels, book 2
Thoughts - Move over Flint because Jessie (MMC) is smokin 🫠 the protector vibes just ooze off him and I am here for it. Also loving Trish trying to make the best of a crap situation. I think this is my favourite of the series so far, but we will see what unfolds in book 3! Definitely recommend if your looking for a MFC who just needs a break, and a burly MMC who’s willing to give her one and more 😉
Plot - Trish was out of options when she asked her brother for help and moved in with him. Expect she didn’t realise at the time his MC was bad news and the president has decided he wants her. With no choice but to sneak away from them, she has no where to go and is trying to find a cheap place to stay for the night, but the whole town is booked solid. Desperate, an unlikely hero stops and offers her a warm bed for the night, she just has to make it through the night and not get attached… right?
* Forced proximity * One bed * Drama and suspense * When the spice hits 🌶️ * Rival MCs
“You make me rock hard just by looking at you. Every man in the bar wanted you tonight. I was in agony watching them and knowing what they were thinking.”
It seems that bada$$ Jesse was brought to his knees by little o'l Trisha. Both literally and figuratively. Only with Trisha comes complications that neither expected. She is the sister to their enemies VP. Will there love be enough to withstand some deceit?
Come along with me for a wild ride through the mind of author Dez Burke as yet another tale is weaved about Steel Infidels MC.
***ARC received for an honest review*** As the president of the Steel Infidels, Jesse's always making sure to protect his family in and out of the MC. The ongoing feud with a rival MC, the Liberators, is major cause of concern for him. What he feels he needs right now is a little down time, and planning his brothers bachelor party along with attending a bike rally seems to be the perfect place to do it. Trish was grateful to her brother Ty for taking her in when she had no place to go. She just didn't think she would have to give up her self respect in return. The MC he's a member of needs cash, and Ty wants her to do anything she has to in order to make the money the Liberators need. Even though she's not happy about it, Trish tries works hard to come up with what they need. What she's not willing to do is give her self to Big Roy, the Liberators president. Trish decides she's had enough of the biker life and it's time to go, she just needs to figure out away to get away without the club finding out. When these two come together sparks fly and their attraction is undeniable. When the truth comes out about who they really are and who they're associated with, they have to figure out if what being together is worth fighting for. Trish and Jesse's story was full drama, with a lot of action, and a good amount of spicy love scenes, which made for a great read. If your looking for a another good MC story I think you'll like this one. I'm giving 3.5 stars.
*** I was given this ARC by the author for an honest review ***
Jesse is the president of the Steel Infidels and he meets Trish at Biker week in Panama City. In the beginning Trish wants nothing to do with Jesse even though they are both attracted to each other. Trish is running from something but Jesse doesn't know what and when he finds out he will do what has to do to protect the ones he loves. I thought this was a great story and I really enjoyed it. I loved how even though Jesse is rough around the edges he shows a totally different side with Trish. I loved catching up with Kendra and Flint. I am looking forward to reading more from this author and I can't wait to read Sam's story.
***I was given an ARC of this book for a honest review for which I was not paid***
This is book 3 in this MC Steel Infidels Series. This is Jesse and Trish's story.
Jesse is the President of the Steel Infidels and Trish is someone Jesse sees and feels an instant attraction to. He is unaware of who she is related to and what an impact this fact will have on their relationship.
We get an opportunity to catch up with Flint and Kendra at their wedding which goes off with a bit of a bang!
This is a fast moving action packed story. I am looking forward to reading Sam's story, who will be the last brother to settle down.
Jesse is my type of Alpha!! Strong, sexy, and protective as heck! Everything a Prez of an MC should be! Throughout most of the story he finds himself in a war…. Either with the Liberators or himself and the feelings he has for Trish. Jesse loves bikes, babes, and booze and is the lovin’ and leavin’ type of guy. Why he wanted Trish so bad – that girl was a clueless as they come! She definitely took some time getting used to!
When Jesse finds out that Trish’s brother is the Liberators VP and that Big Roy (Prez) wants Trish for himself. All bets are off. Jesse moves into protector mode and gives it his all. He wants this “war” over and done with – that first chapter about did me in!
Trish needed a wake-up call in the worst way! I totally get the love you have for your family – but boy did she have her head in the clouds when it came to her brother. Loved her spunk and attitude but mostly I liked the way she became “Jesse’s Girl” for a better term of words.
Good story – the twists and turns helped me to be sucked into their story! I will keep reading this series!
The ongoing battle between the Steel Infidels and the Liberators continues. Jesse is determined to put an end to it once and for all. The situation takes another dimension when Jesse finds himself both attracted to and the protector of Trish, who has tires to the Infidels.
Trish and Jesse have great chemistry and provide each other with something they weren't exactly sure they were looking for in their lives. Once again, this book pulls you in from the beginning and doesn't let you go until the last page.
The only thing that bothered me was that Jesse struck me as being clueless, and I didn't expect that from her character. It was slightly surprising.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Trish is working bike week and her brother is making her give him the money she makes. She meets Jesse and decides he is nothing but trouble. But when she finds out her brother is giving her away to the head of the MC she takes off. Jesse finds her and takes her in. Only to find out that her brother is none other than the second in command of the rival MC they have been hunting down. Jesse is so taken by Trish that he just wants to protect her. Even if it means betraying her in the process. They do get their happy for now in the end.
"Steel Justice," amazing book by Dez Burke! We are still in the Steel Infidels series the third book. We dive into the story with the second brother Jessie the leader of the MC Steel Infidels throwing a bachelor party for his brother where he meets Trish a beer bunny at a beer bar. Unknowingly Trish's brother is in the rival gang that Jessie and his brothers swore to take down. Jessie falls head over heels for Trish and will do anything for her. Read this awesome series to find out what happens to the Steel Infidels in action and romance....
Jesse and Trisha will keep you glued to this story. She is the sister of the VP of the rival MC that Jesse wants to do away with. Trisha's brother wants to hand her over to the President of the Liberators. She is on the run because there is no way she wants anything to do with him. When she connects with Jesse, the sparks are there but she refuses to be an easy lay for him or any man. Jesse's captivated even more because no woman has ever ignored him. Will their foreplay lead them down the road to a happily ever after for the two of them and will they ever get Big Roy and the Liberators?
This engaging MC trilogy is a story with subterfuge and a layered plot. We see well the MC code of protecting family, friendship, loyalty and them finding love. It sizzles and sparks with sensual heat. Two brothers find the loves of their lives unexpectedly but, before they can have their HEA they must first defeat their enemy who is attempting to destroy their existence. The story ends with each getting their HEA!
It’s big brother and president of the Steel Infidels Jesse’s time to finally get back at his rival but he isn’t prepared for his way in.
When he sees Trish serving beer he wants to know her, he has no idea who she is but history can repeat its self and a woman will be between him and Big Red!
She is naive where her brother Ty is concerned but can Jesse help her see the truth?
It’s Jesse’s turn and he goes down hard. A trip to Panama City gets him more than he bargained. She’s innocent, feisty and all he wants. But she’s also connected to their enemies. It’s a great story and continuation of the series.
This book started out Steel Justice, but starting the third chapter, it turned into Liberated! I have deleted and reordered the book, but it is the same thing every time! I have read Liberated and do not want to read it again.
Now this was a wild ride!! Jesse and Trish fell hard and fast just like an MC romance should!! Trish definitely was nice about her brother but at least in the end he did the right thing and I'm glad Jesse didn't give up
Jesse is the president of the MC called Steel Infidels; He is natural born alpha leader- good in crisis, there when something needs to be done (i.e. killings, shootings) Things are just getting warmed up {yet again} between their group and a rival MC gang called the Liberators. Jesse is tired of always being on the “clock” so to speak and wants to have some time to him and his family so when he gets the chance to plan his brother’s bachelor party and also going to a bike rally, Jesse jumps at the chance to go and have the party there. At the bike rally, we meet Trish- her brother Ty is a member of a different MC group. Trish is on the run and he sees her at Biker week in Panama City. She is such a strong girl. She has had to be , to live in the biker world but deep down, she is a unsure of her place in this biker world. She is a sweet girl and at times she does have this fragile air to her but that is when she gets overwhelmed; she is a good person and doesn’t deserve the things that has happened to her. When Jesse comes into her life, her life is shaken up . She is on the run and is trying to stay away from anything from bikers but soon Jesse and their animal attraction has her soon givng them a fighting chance. Jesse knows something is wrong with the new lady in his life. He and Trish has this chemistry and he wants to keep her. There were so many twists and turns in this story that keeps the reader engaged. Trish has secrets in her life and is afraid when Jesse finds out, the love that is developing will be like yesterday’s old news… Is Jesse and Trish going to make it out of this still together, still in love? Or will their love be like yesterday’s old news? I loved how we got to see old characters in this story (Flint and Kendra, and Sam) I enjoyed watched Jesse fall in love and meet his match in Trish. Trish is a fantastic characters-she is the perfect woman for Jesse- the author wrote the MC perfectly and I cannot wait for Sam’s story to come out next.
My rating:4.6 stars
***A gifted copy was provided by the author for my honest review****
Steel Justice is book 3 in this series. It's Jesse's and Trish's story. Jesse is the president of the Steel Infidels MC and Trish is the sister of Ty, the VP of the rival MC, the Liberators, that they're at war with. It would make more sense to you if you've read books 1 and 2 before beginning this story so you'll be caught up to date about what's happening and how serious the problems are between Steel Infeidels and the Liberators MCs.
Jesse and his club are in Panama City Beach for a bike rally. When he sees Trish across the room, the attraction he feels for her is immediate. Instead of giving in to Jesse like every other woman does, Trish blows him off and turns him down. Once Jesse learns Trish's true identity and finds out why she's decided to leave her brother and the rest of the Liberators, he'll do whatever he can to ensure her safety and hopefully win her heart. Problem is she doesn't think she needs saving.
Wow! Trish is one stupid, extremely naive chick. I personally have never been around a MC club. However I have read enough books involving MCs that I know enough, and I find it completely unbelievable that Trish could have grown up with a brother as the VP of such a dangerous MC club, the same club she's been living around and helping, and not known that if she attempted to leave they wouldn't come get her. Really?! And Ty..... How could she be so blind?
I liked Jesse well enough, although I doubt a president of a MC would beg and chase a girl to the extent he did.
Honestly, I liked the first 2 books in the series a lot better than this one. It's gotten good reviews though, so I'm in the minority with my opinion. I've already loaded book 4 Thunderclap on my Kindle and will be reading it next. It's Sam's story and I'm looking forward to seeing who catches the player's heart.
