ARGH! I loved and hated this.
Nothing was going to keep me from reading Leah's novella. I've been ready for any scrap of Leah-Ryan saga since the beginning. And, Leah? Poor Leah. This woman is undervalued, over-worked, lonely, heartsick and she's had enough! She's at her breaking point and I can't really find it in me to be judgy or angry about what happens here in this novella. As a matter of fact, I was rootin' her on. Fuck Ryan. Fuck Reckless Beat. Live your life, Leah!
But I would definitely say that this isn't going to work as a standalone. This is a total treat for the fans. I would even go so far as to say that it's skip-able. I say that only because I imagine the important bits that happened here will be mentioned in the next book so that anyone who missed it will be caught up.
I think that there's going to be a few fans who might be a little annoyed by Leah's detour.
While it doesn't make for heart-melting romance, it works. It's believable, it's justifiable.
As for Logan... Ms. Summers, we need more. Logan needs to be taken down by the right woman. Lordhavemercy, we need more Logan.

This was a short little interlude before the final book in the series. I liked that it continued some of the themes from Reckless Weekend, but Leah's actions were a bit suspect. I understood why she was running and her wanting to recoup mentally from it, but she in essence used Logan and Cole and I really didn't like that she did so. I'd really like to see Logan get his own story someday! It was a good bridge before the last book in the series, but ultimately skippable.

I could understand her wanting to be free for a while but it just felt unnecessary because by the next morning she was over it and months later( in the next book) she and Ryan were together. I skipped the sex and just read on for Blake and Gabi's good news.

Original Review @ Naomi’s Reading Palace
It’s no secret that I love the Reckless Beat series, and I was so excited to get my hands on this in-between story of Leah’s, Reckless Rendezvous. She needed a break at the end of Sultry Groove, and she decided to head back to Vegas to see Logan who she met whilst fulfilling one of the tasks on the list in Reckless Weekend. He promised her more if she ever came back, so she felt it was time to take him up on his offer.
I liked seeing Leah spread her wings and step outside her comfort zone. She jumped on the plane and left the band and everything behind on the chance to meet up with Logan and to forget her feelings for Ryan, especially after what happened between them. She got what she needed and more from Logan but knew she had to get back to her own life.
This story was just as sizzling as I hoped, but also an eye opener for Leah, as she discovered what she needed to do to make her life hers once again. The time away helped her see things more clearly and Logan sure helped in that decision. I love Logan, and had high hopes for him… and honestly, I WANT to see more of him. He’s such a laid back guy and knows how to pleasure a woman, I tell you! This book was just what I needed while I wait for the fifth book in the series! I’m all for Leah finding her happiness, but I want to shake Ryan right now! I NEED to know what happens next for them!

I can't even begin to tell you how much this story needed to be told! Since the beginning of the Reckless Beat series, Leah has been a favorite of mine. I've become a tad protective of her and I want her to have her happily ever after. She deserves it more than anyone. The constant SHIT she puts up with in her career and with the drama of the band, she needs to catch a break. And in RECKLESS RENDEZVOUS, she catches a break, and then some...
Let me start off with, this isn't a romance, BUT this does set the tone for the LOVE STORY that we have ALL been waiting for. We all know who Leah loves, but a girl has GOT to blow off some steam, especially in her profession. It was all getting to her. So, instead of creating more drama by diving head first back into her work, she takes a much-needed, albeit short and sexy, hiatus. No more band members. No more pining after a man she can't have. No more lovely couples fawning over each other. It's just her and one OR two gorgeous men who knows what she wants, knows what she needs, and has NO problem giving it to her with absolutely NO STRINGS ATTACHED. I'm not gonna lie, SHIT gets real! This has some of the most erotic scenes that I have ever read from this author. It's OFF THE WALLS hot! I'm blushing just thinking about it, and it takes A LOT for me to blush.
One night of pure passion leads to more thinking and then to a revelation. Leah needs to re-evaluate her life. Her work is tearing her down. She is alive, but she needs to start LIVING. First let me say I hated it! Absolutely couldn’t stand it. There are those books that just leave you hanging and this was one. I adore the Reckless Beat series. They are seriously amazing. This one completely follows in that tradition and while I hate it I hate it ONLY because it doesn’t give me the closure I need. So I am hanging on waiting for the next one. The writing will make you have this weird love/hate thing going on with Ms. Summers as well. It is honestly just so fantastic you get so immersed with the characters that you just have to know. Now I’m hanging until Undeniable Temptation (book 5) comes out. Seriously pick this one up, it’s amazing and you will love it, but make sure you know it’s not the end… it may only be the beginning.

As much as I HATED that Leah went to Vegas ans was with Logan and Cole...I can see why she did it. Ryan is so screwed up emotionally right now that he doesn't know what way is up. I do think that this going back to "friendship" will NOT work...no scratch that I KNOW that won't work.
I tried real hard to read this book slowly so I could finish it when the new one releases and I could go right into the next book...yeah that didn't happen, I stretched it 2 days and that was hard enough.
On an off note I'm waiting to see what Ryan's reaction is going to be to Leah having her clit pierced. Speaking of Ryan I was a little disappointed we didn't get any more of Leah and Ryan together in this than what was in the end...I understand why but I was hoping for a little bit more. Obviously that had no bearing on my review as this novella was an amazing prelude to the next book, and I am going to be on pins an needles waiting until release day...even if that is only a day away.

I have loved every word of the Reckless Beat series, but I have always wanted, no needed, to know more about Leah and Ryan's "relationship"
After the events at the end of Sultry Groove, this need intensified,so when I found out about Reckless Rendezvous, happy dancing ensued! OK, it might have been happy dancing in my mind, but there was happy dancing!
My heart hurt for her from the minute I started reading until the last word. I just wanted her to find happy. And while she has some hot hot times in Vegas, you just know her heart isn't in it.
This is more than a sexy trip to Sin City - this is the story of Leah coming to realise what her life has become, a journey of self discovery, a journey of change.
And now I need the next full book in the series, I need to know that Leah gets her HEA after all.
This is a quick novella that you won't want to put down once you start. And it will leave you wanting more

This takes place right after Sultry Groove. Leah, The Reckless Beat manager and Ryan, rhythm guitarist, shared a kiss that shouldn't have happened (or maybe it was finally time). Leah takes off to Vegas to get her head together and for a diversion...back to where she met an intriguing man who gave her a standing invitation to return. She could use a distraction from the mess she is making by crushing on her former best friend and client.
And she does succeed in finding one hell of a distraction, pleasure, and an ego boost. But it does not stop the feelings of sadness, guilt, and hopelessness.
Leah tries to get away from her feelings for Ryan and all of their inquiring questions, but also knows Reckless Beat is her family. This is basically a wake up call for her. Maybe it is time for her to think more about what she needs vs. everyone else. She and Ryan's friendship has already been battered over the past year. Where will they go after this newest challenge?
The Reckless Beat guys and girls are back for a bit. And another familiar guy makes an appearance and brings along a friend too. I liked both of them. I love their family type bonds of the group and the fact that they may fuss and fight but also love each other. Leah sent them all into a tailspin and her choices affect everyone.
This is short transition novella bridging Sultry Grooveand the final Reckless Beat novel. As a huge fan of the Reckless Beat series ( I am so totally invested in it), I have been waiting for this story for quite awhile....it was so worth the wait!!! Leah started out as such an enigma in this series, we (the readers) weren't quite sure who she truly is on a personal level, we have always been shown what a strong woman and extremely talented band manager she is...but, not much on the personal side...until now.
Leah became so flustered by that kiss, she just had to walk away from everyone & everything to re-group. What could possibly be a better way to figure things out than taking up Logan on his offer from awhile ago? Logan is walking sex God & all into whatever Leah has in mind, he is more than ready willing & able to give her what she thinks she needs. After just one evening together, Leah knows what she has to do next...
Reckless Rendezvous is a fantastically sexy read & the perfect set-up to the last book in the Reckless Beat series! On the one hand I can't wait for the next book, but on the other....it will be sad to see this series end.

The books was about Leah.
The Reckless Beats Manager is always on the side lines and you see her kicking butts and taking names. She is all in with her career and hasn’t given herself time for much else. When something she has tried to hide from herself is push forward into the light she completely panics and takes off to have a wild weekend in Vegas. This book is all about trying to forget the one you love so it doesn’t blow up your world.
It’s a good book and i like seeing into Leah from another angle but it is an unnecessary book. This could have been added to the book about her and Ryan. But i was still glad i got to see this side of her.
Sometimes these type of books upset me because its just another way to squeeze more money from the reader. “ let me throw out this one more blurb, and the reader with eat it up and still pay full price for a piece of a book”. I know sometimes this is the author doing it and sometimes its their publisher requesting these short books but it can be unfair to someone who truly loves books but is on a budget because you really want to extra bits about the characters but not a full book price. I rented this thought Kindle app so i had a flat fee but i would have been really upset if i was just buying this shorter book.
It was just a fast read.

Ok, so Leah was stupid for running away but I mean I had seen this coming since the trip to Las Vegas.
But boy, it was kind of impossible not to enjoy more of that sexy af tattoo artist. I had been hoping for more of Logan, and although I don't ship him with Leah at all, this was fun and I just want more of him. I hope he gets his own book. Maybe he already has, oh I need to go look that up stat!

I am so glad this novella was written, even though Leah is such a big part of Reckless Beat and she has been so prominent throughout the books I felt like we don’t get to know who Leah is, yes she is the band manager and is part of the reckless beat family but I felt we didn’t know her.
This novella was perfect, we knew how she was feeling, and that she was in love with someone she couldn’t have and it was so good to read how she was discovering herself again with out giving to much away.
This was a hot, short novella that showed us that, blood isn’t always your family and that people who you thought didn’t care are the ones that are there for you and I loved how this just sets the scene for the book that I have been waiting to to read since I started this series.

This is book 4.5 in the Reckless Beat series and it features Leah, Logan and a little bit of everyone else. I could feel Leah’s emotions as if I were living them. BRILLIANT! I cried for her interpretation of the three birds tattoo. Logan’s unexpected need was a beautiful surprise and it made me shed a few more tears for them both. I was also SUPER surprised at his unusual piercing. Curiouser and curiouser...
I am in love with the intense, raw emotions of this story line and because of this I was OK with the unfinished ending. It means I can come back and visit these amazing characters ONE. MORE. TIME.

Omg, this book is gut wrenching!!!
We all knew Leah was in love with Ryan, she'd hid it for years. He's married & it would cost her her amazing job even if he wasn't. But when she runs away after he drunkenly kisses her, he's angry & upset over being served divorce papers, her anguish is palpable 😭😭
All I can say is ... Please don't miss this novella & have tissues at the ready. Leah has decisions to make but will her Band family be able to let her follow through with them?

Reckless Rendezvous is really the beginning of Leah's story. She gives her heart and soul to Reckless Beat and its members and she finds herself lost after Ryan's drunken kiss. So, what's a girl to do? Go to Vegas, of course...and seek out the sexy tattoo artist she met during the bachelorette party. There's a lot of emotion to this story and gives us a much better insight into Leah and what makes her tick. I'm looking forward to reading Undeniable Temptation and finding out how Leah and Ryan's story will turn out. I've really enjoyed this series so far!

awww Leah, its so good to see more of her character, and she totally deserves her own book, i don't blame her for running off, i wish Cole would get his own book too one day, if only she was not so totally hung up on Ryan her and Cole would make a great couple, bless Leah she is strong independent but like most people at the top her game she has a poor work life balance, i hope her taking a well earned and deserved weekend off makes the guys vale her a bit more, i love how much panic a couple of days off causes lol,

Eden Summers never ceases to amaze me.. This book is definitely one of my favorite in the Reckless Beat serie! We learn more about Leah in general. Her personality, her feelings, her fears.. It is really refreshing and like her, we are torn between two guys... It is so intense and after reading it, it will just make you more impatient to read Ryan and Leah's story in the next book, Undeniable Temptation. Yep, it was that good. I strongly recommend it !

I know Leah has been waiting for a kiss...but she has been overwhelmed and overworked and nobody seems to realize this. She has kept the band together while putting out their fires. Do they even appreciate her ??? , I don't blame her for getting away, she needed it. I'm glad she met Logan and she needed those couple of days to think. Disappointed in Ryan, like when will he come to his senses ?? This is book 4.5 in Reckless Beat.

Short book about Leah going to Vegas to screw the guy that did her piercing at the bachelorette party. Had herself a little threesome fling and realized she really loves Ryan but she can’t have Ryan because he’s in the band and she will lose her job. She finally comes back and everyone is waiting for her. Madi is pregnant again and made it through the first trimester. Ryan wants to be friends again. The next book is about Leah and Ryan.

This is the novella right before we get to Ryan and Leah’s story and one I’ve been dying to get to know.
Reading this has only made me want their story even more. It was refreshing to get inside Leah’s head and I’m sure it will only add to things when it comes to their turn. I also hope we get to see more of Logan in the future. I can’t wait!

I couldn’t wait to finally start reading Leah’s story, I absolutely loved her character in the previous books. And Logan just seemed hot! I loved these two together, some parts were very steamy. There was a little hope that Leah would find her happily ever after in this story with Logan but I’m excited to see what happens in the next Reckless Beat book.

It was nice to see Leah let loose after always being the one in control and keeping her and the band in one piece. It seemed very out of character and slightly unsafe in the real world but it was still awesome. She took what she wanted and let herself enjoy what she went there for. It made me root for Logan instead of Ryan, even though I knew the next book would be about Leah and Ryan. She showed her bad ass side, especially with the 3 sum and figuring out what was best for her and just going for it without apology.

A fun quick read that will grab you by the throat and hold you there. Chemistry between characters is unmistakable and wets the appetite for the next book in the future. Unfortunately we are left to wonder about Logan & Cole; what happens to them. I’d love their happily ever after too.
