From Best Selling Author, Lexy Timms, comes a billionaire romance that'll make you swoon and fall in love all over again.
Jamie Connors has decided a job is more important than a boyfriend. She's landed an awesome position working as billionaire Alex Reid's personal PA. It is not meant to be a job with benefits and yet she finds herself in Alex' bed. Despite being smart, pretty, and slightly overweight, she doesn't believe she's attractive enough for a man like Alex.
Trying to manage work and put as much time into her sister's wedding, Jamie finds herself trying to please everyone. Her sister's wedding is at the foreground of the family's attention. Jamie would be fine if her sister wasn't so bossy, if her mother would stop nagging and her awful ex-boyfriend wasn't about to become her brother-in-law.
Jamie has to learn to love herself again, speak up for herself and have the confidence to go after what she wants. She also needs to prove to Alex that she's perfect for her job and for his bed.
** The Boss Too is book 2 in the Managing the Bosses series. **
For mature audiences only. There are adult situations, but this is a love story, NOT erotica.
this book was not good. I will not be continuing on with this series. the only reason why I have it two stars is because the extra star is for Jamie finally telling off her sister.
I started reading this series because the heroine was a size 12 (which isn't fat at all but whatevs) and had issues with her family and her own self-esteem. By the end of this book she's a size 6 and hot. Big thumbs down. so basically she finally grew some balls when she got skinny. what kind of message is that? Fail.
Okay, so Alex and Jamie are together but god damn, they annoyed me. Like so much. Also, her family still sucks ass.
The one thing I was extremely happy for was when Jamie finally told her sister to shut up and get the stick surgically removed from her own asshole. Hot damn, it was beautiful seeing her stand up for herself once and for all. Of course, things were said and this book had tons of drama BUT it needed to happen.
Other than that, getting constant whiplash from her and Alex. Not sure if they are or aren't together but they sure do have chemistry and sexual tension. I'm hoping that the next book will make their relationship a thing or not. Hopefully.

In this book she finally started to stand up for herself and she did tell her sister off.
Her and Alex’s relationship took two steps forward and two steps back constantly but in the end they finally worked it out. I think I liked this book more than the first one because she got more confident with made her stronger. Her issues with losing weight was still her but by staring to fell better she didn’t always eat her feelings.
The only thing that irritated me was her complete ignorance to how bad her family actually was she was taking it like they were trying to help her. But they were so mean I almost wanted to punish them myself and somehow everything was okey now at the wedding, it feet wrong. I feel sorry for her dad for living with his wife but at the same time a got angry because he didn’t defend his daughter from begging put down time and time again.

My feeling for this book is all over the place. First, I thought she would gain strength and learn to expect her body as it was not get a even more self hating image of her self. She believes she is obese at any size 6/8. Come on really. Then she has men telling her they want to start things with her but she can’t cause she has feeling for her boss. I say date the other men to make sure your feeling are real for him and his for you. He keeps using her for sex and then pushes her away. Sounds like an asshole to me. I really just want her to work on herself and learn to love who she is. I just don’t know how to rate this one.
I love Jaime and Alex i really felt for her after he pulled away yet again but they got their HAE and Jaime got into her red dress for the wedding!!!!! fab quick read
Reread omg her fam i want to shoot them!!!!
Audio is brilliant

The job Jamie Connors has with Billionaire, Alex Reid isn't an easy one, but she battles to keep things professional. Hard, when you are attracted to the boss. Harder still when things get out of hand between the two of them. She loves the freedom her job gives her, she struggles vainly to keep it professional.
Certainly better in the Jamie as a doormat to her family front. That shit was getting old. She stood up for herself in several ways, and Alex was also showing that he was stand up guy (except for the instant jealousy every single time Jamie spoke to another guy 🙄). Since this was a 3 books for free deal, I kept reading, and this was decently good. 3.5 stars
1.75 As insufferable as it was, the sequel was better than the first book. We’ve got some character development (not much, but I appreciate the effort). Might read the third one, haven’t decided yet, I’m as surprised as you are
As I mentioned in my previous review of the first book in this series: the family arc is ruining these books. Sadly this book tries to have Jamie reconcile with her family in barely even a chapter. We had to suffer through nearly two books of her family treating her like absolute dirt saying some of the following:
"Your fat ass just has to try and tap anything with a dick, doesn't it?"
"Darling, are you sure you want the croutons? Your sister went to the trouble of ordering you a very healthy meal for you and you're about to undo all the benefits."
"I could've told you getting a job during such an important time in my life was stupid. I have maybe six months to organize and there's no way you'll get everything done."
Those are just a few quotes between the first two books in this series; this is the way that Jamie's mother and sister talk to her on a regular basis. Isn't that disgusting? How Jamie can call those two people her family is beyond me. Jamie justifies the way her family talks to her as a way of caring but just in a different way. Different way? That is not caring in any way.
So ultimately, I do not buy the lame attempt at trying to reconnect the family at her sister's wedding. Everyone just said a very short and unbelievable apology and all was forgiven. Yikes.
I have to say that the saving grace of these books is Alex. There were definitely moments that I was really starting to like Jamie as well; especially because she started to stick up for herself a bit more in this book.
I will read the third book because I cannot help myself; I'm also excited for all the wedding drama to be over and hopefully there is a better dilemma in book three.

Honestly i don't know what she was think about the female character on being slightly overweight because she started as a size 12 and in the second book she all of sudden a size 8 and she still feels like she needs to lose weight, she also has no backbone to stand up for her feelings and just sleeps with her boss more then once and she still thinks she needs to get down to a size 6, dang if i was a size 8 i would want to go up to at least a size 14-16. I am a bbw who is slightly overweight according to my doctor's and i am 5'9 in a size 20w. So if anyone is like my size this book is not a true bbw in my opinion. My doctor's say all i have to do is get down to 175 to 180 and i wouldn't have a high bmi number then.
This character has major self esteem issues and she lets everyone walk all over her even Alex!!!!!!! This is very disappointing and makes me wonder if i really a fat cow compared to Jamie.
Some of us who are big beautiful women or slightly overweight women we love are body and thats why we look forward to read bbw romance, and bbw erotica.
Now days men like all sizes.

More complications and angst follow Jamie and Alex around. Jamie continues to grow as a person, both personally and professionally. Unfortunately she can't seem to turn away from her family, who continue trying her patience. Then there's Alex, regardless of telling herself to keep it professional they keep stumbling together but will Alex be able to show Jamie his true feelings before it's too late? I'm enjoying this read, the story, plot and writing are great. The characters are good. There is plenty of angst, some sweet moments, some really annoying moments and a couple of hot moments but overall the story it getting good.
Book two in the series reveals family issues with Alex, the introduction of his brother & father & we discover why Alex's family & childhood wasn't so perfect after all. Jamie & Alex continue to work well together, but after a one-nighter at the end of book one, Alex is a bit hot & cold. He doesn't want a relationship but also becomes possessive & jealous when other men show interest. This becomes a little tiresome to our heroine and the reader, I might add. The last chapter takes us to "the wedding" where much is resolved.
I really enjoyed this book which is part of the Managing the Bosses!
I thought that the story was really well developed and I really did enjoy getting to know the different characters – they worked so well together and I loved their interaction.
This is the second book in the Managing the Bosses series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first book - it was a great story, easy to read, I loved the detail and found it to be very enjoyable – it was a romantic and sexy read
It is 5 stars from me for this one – I really enjoyed it – very highly recommended!!
I'm glad Jamie finally gets a back bone and stands up to her sister but it's not like her sister really takes notice anyway. It's all me, me, me with Christine.
I wanted her to stand up to Alex too. Because he was treating her like a play thing. Having his way with her, then shattering her time and again by apologising and saying it shouldn't have happened. I like the relationship she formed with his brother, Mark.
I really understand the characters more in this installment. Jamie has really grown into herself, more confident and understanding what she needs with dealing with her crazy family. Alex is an more approachable character you understand him more. The sexual chemistry between him and Jamie is more combustible, I definitely have to thank Dale for the introduction to this series.
Alex really needs to make up his mind whether he likes Jamie, just wants the benefits or wants her as his PA. His back and forth is just confusing. While Jamie needs to stand up for herself and tell him he is either or boss or her lover but just pick one. I was glad to see Jamie finally stand up to her sister and I think she would have regretted not going to the wedding. It was nice to see the family finally be nice to each other.
I adore Alex and Jamie’s relationship. They both struggle with issues, mostly pertaining to their family. I knew eventually that part would be handled so they could try their best for a future. I just hope their relationship doesn’t face too many hard times. What I can’t believe is reading about Jamie’s sister admitting her future husband was handsy and still deciding to stay with him. For me, that’s a big, fat Bye.
I had issues with how easily Jamie made amends with her sister and mom at the wedding. I have a hard time believing a person would be so forgiving even at such an important event. People don’t change their colors that easily.
Alex and Jamie seem to be making things work between them. Maybe they can have a satisfying relationship.
The Boss Too, Managing the Bosses book two by Levy Timms. I liked this book so much more than the last one. Loved that it got into the characters more. Has a great storyline going. I beginning to like the characters much more. My only complaint is the way they end although I didn’t mind this one as much. I’m ready to read the next book.
Omg Alex was giving me whiplass like come on just give in to the loveeeee💖💖💖💖. Second book didn't dissapoint. Love every second of it. Also Jamie's family are aweful like why??? I guess it works perfectly though. Finding her voice in all of this and claiming what she wants with her life, family and love intrest. Loved it
These books are actually kind of short so it was nice to be able read to the box set of 1-3#. The story is pretty good so far and I am interested to see where it goes. I have found that I really like the black sheep of the family elements that have helped them to bond and drive them in a way that others don't always understand.
The second book of this series is very interesting it keeps the reader hooked and looking forward to delve 212 into the story. The narrators are really amazing adding to the experience of enjoying a great audiobook. Lexi has really set up the base for a great book series and the audiobooks are really amazing.
Jamie and Alex are still working together and she is living in his guest house. However Alex seem to become withdrawn at times and she is unsure of their relationship. She is the maid of honor for her sister who is engaged to Jamie's ex-boyfriend. Will things ever work out for her? Highly recommended.
The Boss Too (Managing the Bosses #02) by Lexy Timms – This is an office romance with enough family drama to keep a soap opera cast busy! There were a few continuity errors like a polo suddenly becoming an oxford shirt, but the FMC learning to set boundaries for herself was a nice arc. Happy Reading!
I still didn't like the parts the sister and mother in. I almost stopped reading because of them, but then unwanted to know more about Alex & Jamie's love story. That's what's keeping me going in this series.
I liked this book better than book 1, just because there was more things that kept me interested. I am listerning to the audio box set of book 1-3. I kinda of hated Jamie in book 1 and loved Alex. Now in book two the roles seem to have changed!
This the second offering in the story of Alex and Jamie, their working relationship is established, they continue to have that sizzle attraction towards each other. But as before they each have their own issues to deal with. Good read!
