Adrenalin Will Be Off The Chain Reading This One!!

This book was all about Sex, Licks and Money!! There was so much going on in this book that I want to make sure that I touch base on it all (because it was just that good): First off, I enjoyed humor that was carried throughout Grandma, Donald, Ronald, Binky and Wink's house. Several times I caught myself giggling because of the natural humor that occurred between the awkward siblings. I didn't understand Grandma or her significants until I made it toward the end. The impact of her words are clear when Binky slips into the dark world with her Grandmothers wisdom guiding her the entire way. I couldn't believe that Ronald kidnapped Angel, and found his entire escapade crazy and clumsy but i truly commended Stash for his dedication to find his woman. When Angel finally mad home safely, I didn't think this book could be any better but it DID!! That was just the beginning of the drama!! I felt as though I was reading five different stories and somewhere along the lines, Peter Mack wove them all together bringing the story to several beautiful closures. My favorite characters were Prada and Starla. I knew a bit about the both of them from a Ayana:The Return, but I feel like I truly got to see how they gained their reputation for being the baddest chicks in town. The way they set up men and made their money ruthlessly was fun to read. Those two were off the chain, Starla with her prostate magic tricks and Prada with her 'big' secret. The women were powerful and were just as capable of setting up lick as a man would be. The two characters that irked my nerves the worst was Mr. Butta and Matt. Those two pervs had me wanting to rip through the book and kick their butts myself.

There were parts in this book where I feel as though the author did an amaZing job exposing how many men are truly on the down low, secretly sleeping with other men... Smh. Even though the sex scenes were graphic, they were real and raw. The insight provided about the prostitution lifestyle was realistic and the characters feelings were very accurate to how one may feel just getting started in the industry. a sharp, accurate perception from a woman and a man's point of view was exhibited perfectly. Which isn't accomplished easily... that took skill. In the end, I felt as though everyone got what they deserved. Especially Tank. If he would not have been so greedy he and Binky could have moved away(freeing himself from his mother's house and Grubs) , lived off his licks and lived their lives happily together. But he just had to push the envelope... smh.

There was a lot of deep rooted messages in this book, all enlightening and empowering. A lot of game was placed within the characters dialect and insightful. I gladly took the nuggets of knowledge. The philosophy of the BRU Family (LiveRichDieReady) is one that I and think those around me should live by. A simple slogan with a huge magnitude of meaning that is broken down from one of my favorite characters in the book: Noble. He and Hershey's relationship had a cute development. I was happy that he chose up because for a second there, I worried he was going to pass up on her and not see her full potential... with all this being sad, this amazing, action packed, gangster-fied book deserves ten stars instead of the five I am only allowed to give it. Peter's work reads differently, nothing like what you get from these mediocre authors. When he tells a story he holds back no punches , which is indeed why I have become a very large fan of The Bru family and the scandal that goes on all the time around them. I'm ready for more!!

3 1/2 ⭐️’s #DirtyLicks consists of three different stories.
In “Dirty” the characters that stood out to me most was a set of twins Donald was trying to get some money the fast way & Ronald only wanted someone to perform fellatio on him. He wanted it so bad he was dreaming about it. Donald set up a robbery & in the events leading up to the robbery, Ronald managed to get in an accident & knock the woman from the accident out & also kidnap her (He really wanted some head). Several other things go way to the left and at the end of the day, things don’t turn out right.
“Nasty” was the story I liked most. Noble, recently released from doing time in prison seems to be Mr. Smooth. He has all the ladies wanting to jump his bones (including his psychiatrist) but he is really uninterested in it all. He has his eye on Hershey who is in a situation but unhappy. Sean (her situation) doesn’t do anything but gamble, drink & pull “licks”. Until he pulls a lick on the wrong person.
“Daddy” shows several different situations where girls are being taken advantage of sexually. You have Binky who is the sister of the boys in the first story. She also has a twin Winky (a boy). They are in foster care because of the grandmothers failing health. But of course it’s not the ideal situation because she & her brother are being taken advantage of. Binky is desperate to find a way out so she’s willing to do practically anything to get the out of the foster house.
All these stories have connecting characters so you’ll see some of them in each story. The other thing is somebody is always trying to pull a lick which always seems to result in tragedy. ~LEE~
