I was provided a copy in exchange for an honest review. This story was short and interesting. It had some twists and turns that led the ending open for the continuation of the story. It goes to show that outer beauty and inner beauty are not the same. What is next in store for these characters? You'll have to read to find out.

Good start to Warlock series.

Kindle Unlimited read. Cliffhanger. She has been cast out by her family. When the man of her dreams enters the bar she works at, she finds out that what you see is not always what you get. Can she see past looks to find the true man meant for her?

The plot behind this book has much potential. There were several things that left me with mixed feelings like the use of matches in the 1600s yet they weren't invented until the 1800s. Also sometimes the author used very modern day speak for that time period.

That can't be the end

I don't get the ending. I feel unsatisfied. What happens with Bastien? What about Julian? Ava was tricked and made a mistake sleeping with Julian but she sees the truth of Bastien. Then what?
