This series is all over the board for me, but this book, this story, darn near perfection!
Seriously, a broken warrior only at home at war falls for a sweet college student, who ends up being connected to him in other ways
Not quite insta-love but not far away from it. Some drama thrown in and then everything falls into place and you are left are warm and fuzzy

Lydia's mom had a new husband and after almost a year she traveled to Virginia Beach to meet her new step brother, James MacIntyre. She had been requested to come to brunch at her parents new home.
One the way to put off getting there, she stopped at a bar and met Mack and after he rescued her from a guy not taking 'no' for an answer and had her first one night stand.
A surprise brunch together, a return to Mack's apartment and his phone calls in the night and departure before dawn makes Lydia feel unwanted. A deployment, a shooting at her college and then a confession to their parents brings these two into a happy ending from what started as being Tempted by a SEAL.

ARC received for an honest review
This the 7th book in the SEALs series, and this has been my favourite!
Mack and Lydia's story had me enthralled from the first word to the last. I felt right from the start that theirs was going to be more than one night, and I loved being taken on their journey as they went from bar hookup to much much more.
Mack was just all that for me. Sexy, sweet, alpha all rolled into one hulking man. And I love how Mack's protective instincts go into overdrive the minute he meets Lydia.
Lydia has those self doubts that all of us deal with, and I loved how Mack wiped those doubts away for her.
And let's not forget the sexy times! The chemistry between our lovelies is off the charts, both in and out of the bedroom. You knew what they had was special - if only they would see it for themselves.
I really do adore this series. They are quick, sexy reads that leave you with a smile on your dial and love in your heart.

Love these SEALS
I love this series, the characters are fantastic and great love stories. Mack is awesome, though pretty messed up with the loss of a teammate and through surprising circumstances he meets the girl who will rock his world, however there is two issues, she is his new step-sister and he gets called to go over seas and he can't say anything. Not a great way to start a relationship. Lydia is unsure of where she stands with her new step-brother after he just disappears. Are they together or not?
I loved this story, it was a great love story. Cat Johnson writes engaging characters and stories. Stories you don't want to put down and then you want more of. Definitely worth 5 stars

Mack is used to be on the move and not getting attached, but when he helps Lydia out at the bar and takes her home, that a game changer for him. He realized that he likes her and that's not good for him. Or is it? A day later they find out, his dad and her mom are married. WTH? They've already bumped uglies! Now what? They live their lives. With or without that person? YIKES!

This is the 7th book in the series.
This was an interesting hero to add to the series as he's known by the SEAL teams but wasn't in their team until he requested a switch. You learned about our hero's guilty conscience in the last book, but now you get to know more about him as a person.
Our hero has been away doing SEAL things and doesn't want to spend the night alone in his apartment, so he figures to go to the bar near home. He gets threw most of his ritual of drinking when he notices another man not taking no for an answer. After awhile he approaches when the guy doesn't seem to get when no is no. He helps out the woman but instead of sending her on her way,she ends up back at his place. He only does one night stands and never overnights.
Our heroine has been told to be at her mother's house for a brunch the next day and she's decided to leave early to go, but then decides to stop and have a drink only for one of the guys not take no for an answer. However, with help from our hero, she's fine. They end up back as his place, for a one night stand which she never does. However, the next morning they are still together, but she decides she should get going and the hero has some place to be anyway.
However, when they find our their parents are now married, and they are family, will this affect their relationship? What happens when neither of them can forget the other? If that's the case, then what will others thing when they find out - or will they?
This was a great story and very original. The book made me laugh and then swear at points. I loved how the author tried to bring more of today's normal type of heroine into the book rather than the skinny and exercise type of person. The hero's look of the female for was refreshing as well. It really did keep me guessing about how people involved would handle things (as I don't want to give anything away), but it was nice to see how it was handled, but shocked it did go so smoothly.
I found myself glued to the book, so beware. This is a great thing!

Lydia decided to go to the bar for a drink before heading to her mom's. Some guy can't take no for an answer. Luckily some guy steps in and helps.
Mack is heading to his dad's to meet the new stepmother and her daughter. He is in for a real treat when he finds out his new stepsister is the woman he spent the night with. Unfortunately, he got called back in before telling her what he was doing.
While back on campus, Lydia is having lunch with her roommate when there is a gunman in the campus lunch area. Lydia did exactly what Mack told her to and ran and hid.
Mack has just gotten back and found out what Lydia has gone through. Time to come clean about everything.

What a wonderful series!
I am enjoying every single book in this series and I am thrilled that the series was written before I discovered this author. I hate reading a good book and then having to wait for the next one in the series to be published. Cat Johnson is a gifted author and I look forward to reading more of her books!

Loved it
I just finished reading this book and it was amazing! I loved the characters and how interesting they are. The dynamic between them is intriguing and the little twist was funny (especially when he calls her sis)!

Mack is a loner, his only friends are his teammates. When his Father requests his company to meet his new wife and step daughter. Mack is shocked to see his one night stand. This is a sweet story of two people who meet and form a strong connection and how Mack's secret life gets in the way.

Ok first of all i'm doing this backwards apparently! For some seriously odd reason i didn't know this series even existed! I know right?!?!?! I'm correcting that error ASAP! I've read all of Cat Johnson's books ( or so i thought ) ....again i'm fixing that ASAP people!lol. So I grabbed this book when I saw someone else reading it at the doctor's office ( YES i was unashamedly reading over someones shoulder lol ) i caught the title of the book but not the author so when i got home i looked it up and one clicked it and was shocked to realize that it was a whole series that i'd somehow missed.
Ok on to Tempted by a SEAL! I'm in love! Seriously in love.. I've already one clicked this series so i can read it but i just couldn't put this one down to start at the beginning of the series. I LOVE alpha men, put that alpha man in a uniform and i'm definitely hooked. I really enjoyed this book. It showed both sides of the military life, the side of the military member and what he faces over seas and the threat even at home, and the side of the family members left at home waiting for their safe return.
James MacIntyre, known by Mack to everyone in the world except his father and his new step mom, could never have guessed that when he met Lydia at the bar and took her home that the immediate attraction and pull he had to her would end up being more then either of them could imagine.
Lydia would never in 100 years have guessed that her rash decision to have a quick drink at a seedy bar to calm her nerves before going to meet her mothers new husband and his son that it would change her life forever. The attraction to the stranger that saved her from the unwanted attention she was receiving blew her mind and left her feeling heated all over her body. She knew right away that she wasn't going to let this opportunity pass her by and was going to do the last thing anyone would expect from her and have her very first one night stand!
One night, one touch was all it took for them both to know that this was in no way a one night stand....
No matter what they had to do, they would find a way to make this last beyond the one night....

Tempted is about motorcycling riding alpha Navy SEAL Mack. I have been waiting for his story since he was introduced as the newest member of Seal Team Six. His love interest is Lydia aka Liddy, they will meet in a bar do the dance as old as time though out the night only to find out the next morning their are step siblings. Yes Macks dad married Liddy's mom over a year ago but Mack hasn't been stateside in months.
Can Mack and Liddy keep their affair a secret? Will Mack finally break his rules and give a woman more than one night?? Could Mack fall in love with co-ed Liddy ?
The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I wanted more of Mack.
Tempted by a SEAL can be read as a stand alone but it does belong in Johnson's Hot SEALs series.

I just can't help but think that this story ended too early, I wanted to see them married and their future mapped out, with Mack joining his friends new security business.
This was slightly different to the rest of the stories in this series and it did not really feature the other characters, this was written in a way to demonstrate Mack's isolation as he is a new member of the seal team he's been assigned to, but also he's still grieving the loss of his friend, for what he believes is his fault. There was not much discussion about this aspect of Mack's life and the focus was very much on the whirlwind romance.

I was so excited to have a new book in Ms. Johnson's Hot Seals series, especially when it was about Mack, a SEAL who we have seen in previous books and learned just enough about to be curious. I was not let down! Mack and Lydia are an unlikely but refreshing couple. They meet by chance and discover they are tied to one another in ways they never knew possible. I laughed out loud, I talked to my e reader and held my breath at different points during this book. My biggest complaint is it was over so soon and I wanted more Mack and Lydia! I look forward to mentions of them in future books.

Oh did I love this book. I have to tell you I never read one of Cat Johnson's books before but I saw it on Goodreads and really wanted to read it. I never won it but decided to order it from Amazon anyway and loved it. I liked her style of writing and any book about Seals is wonderful to me. As soon as I finished I had to go back to Amazon and put the rest of her Hot Seal series on my wish list!

Tempted by a SEAL is the perfect blend of drama, romance and sex. The storyline was enjoyable and the author does a great job keeping the reader interested.
Lydia and Mack have an immediate chemistry. Mack gets more out of his relationship than one night of fun.
The only downside of this book is the length . I thoroughly enjoyed the read and would definitely recommend it.
