Ask not for whom thy wolves come, Varra. KNOW…We come for you.
Tiara "Tee" Greenwolf might be the Princess of Detroit, one of the baddest state packs in the shifter nation, but the truth is, she's a HUGE nerd--and a strange one at that. The founder of a successful video game business, she spends most of her time in her rooms, more committed to creating her company's next bestseller than her love life.
Still it hurts more than a little when she catches her fiancé cheating on her. Even worse, her ruthless Alpha King father is insisting she marry him anyway! Tee escapes to Alaska for a quiet workcation, hoping to leave all that drama behind in Detroit.
Only to have not one, but two crazy-hot, time-travelling Viking shifters show up in the small town where she's hiding out.
These two Viking brothers are hardcore. They’re super-intense. They both want her to be their mate, and they are absolutely not taking no for an answer.
Ooohkay, not exactly the quiet workcation she'd hoped for. Gulp. Tee is no Little Red Riding Hood, but she's more than a little afraid of getting eaten up by these two Viking wolves.
What they want from her is dirty, and completely wrong.
So wrong.
Like wronger than wrong.
So then why is she having such a hard time resisting them?
Tee has no idea how this story will end, but one thing’s for sure: It’s going to be epic.
Find out what happens in the latest paranormal shifter interracial romance from Theodora Taylor’s wildly popular 50 Loving States series. But reader BE WARNED, this novel is smoking hot to the touch. If two Viking brothers claiming one innocent nerd HARD isn’t your cup of wolf, DO NOT one-click this extremely sexy MFM romance, which proves that what Vikings want, Vikings get. All. Night. Long.
Theodora Taylor writes hot books with heart. When not reading, reviewing or writing, she enjoys spending time with her amazing family, going on dating nights with her wonderful husband, and attending parties thrown by others.

There is a chance I might be slightly biased.... :) But I honestly think this is my hottest book to date! And it's super romantic, too! Hope you enjoy it!
Her Viking Wolves has done a number of things for me:
1)Broken me out of my bad book rut 2)Pushed my boundaries a bit, as this was a mfm romance and I'm not usually into that, like at all. 3)Further solidified that Theodora Taylor is pretty much a one click author for me.
I. loved. Tee.
Loved her. She was funny, and likeable and I was with her every step of the way. Her anti social attitude, her hesitance and resistance to having not one, but two mates? Yeah, I was there. But man, by the end of it in the corner cheering Tee and her boys on like,
That being said. If you haven't yet, read this book. It's fantastic. If you need to, please start from the beginning. This series is an awesome one and I love all the characters and their individual stories. Ms. Taylor seems to have put a lot of work into the background and the world of shifters and it works -- wonderfully so.
This one didn't do it for me. Too much explicit chauvinism and sexism etc. Plus, the sex scenes weren't sexy, more shifter functional. Too much explaining and processing etc that take away immediacy. And, I don't know, I couldn't get behind Tiara, nor all the drama. There were some funny moments, but this book didn't strike a chord with me at all
Three stars for quality even if I don't like it...something just didn't jell.
ETA: actually, more specifically, FJ's actions during the wedding ceremony turned me off so badly I couldn't recover my former levity. True enjoyment ended there. And Tee's easy acquiescence felt very KA to me. Also, Tiara's easy forgiveness of her family after the pain they caused was not my cup of tea, either.
Oh lord. As much smut as I read I've never read a MFM before and let me tell you, this is amazing!!!! I can honestly say that there were so many aspects of this book that I loved, I don't think I had much to pick apart. The main character, Tiara, is a black nerd from Detroit who spends all her time perfecting her video game Viking Shifters (entirely fitting with her story). Being over the age of thirty and never gone into heat, her father is forcing her to marry another man from a pack to ensure an heir and all that. But alas, it doesn't go well but who really cares because she never wanted the marriage anyway. As soon as two Vikings show up from traveling through time, they both recognize Tiara as their fated mate. BOTH of them, yeah, they're brothers too. To be honest i thought that was going to be weird. Like how would that even work? But, it plays out great! FJ and Olafr are very different in personality and look and they offer different things to Tiara. FJ was much more of a leader as the fenrir. He handled deals and did most of the talking. Olafr was the protector and although he was the one who lived as a wolf for most of his life, he was much more understanding with Tiara. I loved the dialogue in this book and the other characters were funny and relatable, even though they were a pack of wolves that dealt with time travel. Just amazing. Highly recommend!!
This was my least favorite book by Theodora Taylor. I thought the MFM relationship was the best part but the world building felt incomplete.
Things that bothered me
1. I don't understand how aging works in these novels. In Wolf and Prejudice, Alesha went back 4 yrs and aged 4 years. In this novel, the brothers went back 4 years and it was 4 yrs. Yet in the time between Wolf and Prejudice which is also approximately 4 years, it seems to be 20 yrs in the Viking era.... WTF.
2. The flashback in which Chloe's husband was insulted and the term slave was used, took me out of the story. This comment made me question when this story took place. There have been slaves since Exodus in the bible. Slavery wasn't racial until about the 17th century. I know it is a pararomance book. But this conversation pulled me out of the story.
3. The epilogue pissed me off. Rafeson was referred to as Rafe which was confusing. The rest of my complaints are "spoilers" so i will just say it was all off the wall and needs a LOT more world building before it becomes a book.
Finally, I like Theodora I have all her books in this series and will continue to read her but this book irked me.
... because it is 🔥🔥🔥 But it is also laugh out loud funny. But it's also super clench your fist intense. I like this one a lot. Now I'm moving on the the spinoff series. I have truly fallen down a Theadora Taylor rabbit hole and I love it! Happy reading!
*** ARC given for honest review*** Tiara Greenwolf, the Detroit Princess, finds that she's only comfortable when she's sitting in front of her computer. Now that her parents feel that it's time for the video game developer to be mated, she finds herself having to step away from her comfort zone when she's engaged to a Prince of her father's choosing. Tiara feels she could do worse, considering how hot the Prince is and graciously accepts her fate to be married. She feels optimistic about her situation, that is until she finds her fiancé in a compromising position and decides maybe he's not the best choice for her after all. After Tiara decides it's better to flee than stay and be forced to marry the wrong man, she finds herself on the doorstep of her Aunt and Uncle's looking for refuge until she can figure out her next move. While there, Tiara meets FJ and Olafr and she feels like she just traded one crazy situation for another because these two are looking for their true mate and the both believe it's Tiara. How does one 30ish woman go from having no man at all to having to many in the span of just a few days? Well Tiara is about to find out how having two men can definitely be better than having one. This was wonderful romance with some spicy love scenes. There were some awkward moments between Tiara, FJ, and Olafr while they were getting to know each other which made for a very funny and entertains story, especially as the three of them were getting to know each other. For those of you who like a little drama and suspense mixed in with your romance, there's a bit of that in here too. I really enjoyed this story, but one of my most memorable parts was when they traveled to Detroit to see Tiara's family. Her father is determined to have his way, at least he tries too. After reading all of the books in this series, I have to say that this one is definitely one of my top 5 faves of the bunch. I give Her Viking Wolves 5 stars.
This is the first flop I've ever read by Theodora Taylor. I'm only giving her two stars on the strength of her past writing. I didn't feel any real connection between Tiara and her two mates. It felt like Tiara was 18 instead of 30. I got so tired of her saying " That just happened". This book became very repetitive. Which made me lose interest quick.
This book is the continuation of the Viking Wolves series's. In this installment we meet Princess Tiara a "nerdy" unique chick who owns her very own successful gaming company. That would do whatever her daddy wants. Even if it means marring Prince Kyle. So... Without spoiling to much, let's just say some "stuff" went down with her crazy family. Causing her to flee to her uncle family in Alaska. And that's where we meet not one but two super fine alpha male brothers from ancient Norway. Who, oh by the way are both Tiara's fated mates, turning the whole entire family upside and exposing a lot of secrets.
Pro's -A nerdy lead. -We get to catch up with all the characters. -Tu still have no filter (poor Grady lol) and I love it. -Very hot mfm scenes that had me fanning. -Well written full story, with three different pov from the leads.
Con's Meh... There isn't any.
Honestly if this your first book in this series you should definitely go back and read the others.
It's more like 3.5 stars for me. I did enjoy the story a lot ... BUT... and I may be alone here... I think I would've liked this story more if it had been Tiara & Olafr only with FJ gettting his own love interest separate from them. I read MFM/MMF books fairly regularly (and tend to prefer when males are sexual with each other as well but am not bothered if they aren't) so thay didn't bother me. I just didn't connect or see the connection with FJ & Tiara yet totally bought she & Olafr.
Regardless of my own feelings about that aspect, it is a good book and an entertaining read. Fans of the author's 'Wolf' books will really enjoy it, as I did.
This is the best book in the series! I really enjoyed this story , I laughed and I wondered how would she make believe this could be a love story? Well she showed me , I can see how e could fall for both brothers and I enjoyed every minute of it. FJ and Olafr are two halves of a whole wolf it seems but these two are formidable then people know. They want Tiara and they won't stop until she belongs to them. There is a warning ,that this book is smoking hot and it is, be ready when you read this story, because their coming together is fire. This book is my favorite in the series and I can't wait to read what the writes for the next one.
I enjoyed reading this book, I loved the heroine and one of the hero's - Olafr. His brother FJ? Not so much. Overall the book was well written and the heroine engaging. I loved that she was a geeky black girl who was a successful businesswoman. We don't see enough of that.
The heroes were actually biracial, so if you're looking for a different kind of IR be warned.
The epilogue was a big wtf for me, I didn't understand and didn't really care. It made the book feel even longer (not the hero related stuff, the other thing).
This story is filled with a victimized woman apologizing for everything she "made" a man do to her. Of men punishing her by raping her because she left them. The main female character had no inner strength and the main male characters did not respect women; they only thought of them as how they could better their lives. This type of behavior may happen in real life, but when I read fiction, I would like to see characters that overcome the flaws that we have as humans.
WARNING: RAPE IS INVOLVED IN THIS STORY. No one told me, so now I'm telling people.
Okay, I've read this and I don't like it. I thought I would, but after FJ and his brother basically rapes the female lead, it became a twisted story that I just couldn't give it a high rating. Yes, I said it. RAPE. The author makes this whole "force sex submission" seem like it's okay to do, but no it's not. Most of these scenarios she's describing is in the margin of RAPE. I don't know why so many people gave it more than 3 stars. My real rating for this is 1 1/2 stars because the ending wasn't so bad and I've got to see a glimpse of Magnus re-appearing again + a glimpse of a future dragon in the story (maybe Ola's mate?!)!
I've read MFM types of stories before and their were only a few I enjoyed in my lifetime. I find most of these types of stories to be not my cup of tea because most of these authors always go for the "force sex/rape" route which I can't seem to fathom why they would do that since it would work out without that sh*t added into these type of stories.
Even though there was rape in this story, I still liked that Tee began to have a bit of a back bone without her mates towards the end of the story. She had me surprise with her And then I was like *huge loud claps* 🤗, "YES! YES! YES! YOU GO GIRL!". 😂
I didn't know where she was going with this by having both brothers be Tee's mate. But it worked out really well.
Love Tee! I thought she was younger than her Alaskan princess cousins. But she was rather old going by wolf standards in this series. She was cool tho. Work out of her room and handle her business.
She forgave her brother rather easily tho. Considering how close they were, I don't understand why he wouldn't have just approached her with the situation ahead of time. Since she wasn't mates, she might have considered it. But going behind her back was wrong.
So FJ & O, cause I'm not even trying to spell his name, made quite the entrance at the Alaska portal. Tu was very impressed. Lol.
But I'm rambling. I really enjoyed this addition to the series and can't wait for the sequels! And the introduction of this "big bad".
Another great wolf story. This is Tee, Olaf and FJ's story. I loved that she was a Big Woman and still was able to find two handsome wolfs who were her mates.
If you wish to know how I grade the book and why and only that, you can skip to the end after the last wall of wolves and swords.
Also English is my second language and this reviews are practice for me, but I will apologize for any mistake and weirdness on the text as there might be a lot.
🐺🗡️🐺🗡️🐺🗡️🐺🗡️
First I will start with the premise mostly from her side of the story, The book is multiple POV with her side written in first person and theirs in third. But it might be easier to give it just from hers and advance from there.
Theodora Taylor has this universe of werewolf books. Each couple (or reverse harem like this case) has one book dedicated to their story; and all are connected to the other books not only by the setting and universe, but by a sort of game of 6 degrees of separation https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_d...
The result is that you can pick any book and get a full and complete story without needing anything else; as the author will make sure you have all the information you need for that particular book , though if you liked her style, it will be more rewarding to read as much books as you can.
But still; this is the post about only one book in particular. And so I must focus.
As I mentioned ,and as you can know if you read the blurb or tags on pages , this is the reverse harem of the bunch. If you are new to the romance genre or to titles younger than 2 decades a reverse harem is when the work is about a woman getting an harem for herself. Not a love triangle, pentagon or beyond where she will only choose one person at the end, she will end it a relationship with 2 or more; and most of the cases with men. Like this case.
Our lead woman is Tiara Greenwolf or Tee to her friends, who is the only pack princess of the kingdom of Michigan* She is not very comfy on this role as she feels she is terrible at socializing and very uncomfortable when trying. Yet she is on every single party, public execution and party started with an public execution her father the wolf king of the state, and head of a motorcycle club ** requires her to be… Since childhood.
There is something else she is very good though, it’s coding and making video games with this knowledge. She has managed to create one that went into such fame and economic sucess she was able to launch a full company to do more games. She even made a friend of an another werewolf coder like her and both women work hard at their vision.
She is so passionate about this work that she endures as much business meetings she has to, given massive online games cannot be made and maintained with just two people, though fortunately most people in her company and family even investors are more than fine with internet meetings which does help her comfort.
She is engaged to the prince and heir of North Dakota, who is her brother best friend. After meeting up a few times because of said brother they went a few dates and he proposed. She thinks it’s funny someone as good looking, self assured and from a beter regarded kingdom would want to date someone like her but she thinks is fine, no problem that she doesn’t feel anything strong about him other than thinking he is nice… in this universe she wolves don’t feel much of sexual desire until their first heat right? Everything is fine right?
Her father acts like her engagement is her biggest sucess she brought the pack, apparently a successful money maker of a company is probably small potatoes than a marriage alliance with another state. So, it’s annoying but things are still fine… all fine…
Until she catches her fiancee having sex with her brother… and retrospective makes her feel like a fool. The biggest of them all, and as she decides to drop the engagement without outing her brother her father reveals he knows, and that the engagement will be kept. Science can get her pregnant anyways and it would be a guaranteed way of getting heirs for both states without making any fuss…
So things are definitely not fine.
So not knowing what to do she takes off to her extended family in Alaska, which is not a solution, or course and she cannot tell them what’s is up but its a way to avoid the problem as much as she can. Which is all she has.
Until the nearby time travel gate*** booms with a sure announcement that someone has passed through… for the first time in years.
And the few times it booms is when a old time criminal is exiled through one… or bringing a fated mate…
Guess who is getting her’s?
*In this setting, the wolves organize themselves by Kingdoms. And the United States kingdoms organized by state. My personal guess is that Taylor wanted to not make life harder for herself and to be able to keep easier track of who are kings, queens and heirs of where and by basing the kingdom locations a different way not only would she have required more work and documentation, but would also open a huge can of worms if she ever need to keep track of 3 hypothetical kingdoms in California and 4 in Alaska. So you get one kingdom maximum per state and while kings can control multiple states but each state kingdom is to be counted individually.
It does help that wolf population is honestly not that big, the total global are probably a few millions compared to the billions of humans; there are some some towns that are exclusively wolf populated but don’t seem bigger than a couple thousand people.
** yes these people sell drugs and do the stuff your typical criminal organization does. Is not the main income of the pack but is one and the dad is very proud of it.
***so not only Time travel gates exist on this setting but all of them are guarded and kept secret by werewolves since forever. (Actuality since the ice age) in fact most werewolf settlements grew around the gates and most are under direct supervision of the werewolf kings. Did they built them? Nobody knows. Do they know how they work? Partially, can they use them any time they want? Only if they know the exact spell and those are scarce.
So now for the detail of the men.
The lead men are two brothers from a Viking wolf kingdom. Not your regular Olafs though these are the sons from another time traveling couple, dad is a Viking local and mother traveled from a United States that is only 8 years removed from Tiara’s own . (Also 6 degrees of separation remember? She is a friend of one of Tiara’s cousins) so this men know modern English and have heard about some aspects of modernity but never witnessed them.
The elder is named Fenris, as his father, and his father before him. Viking wolfs of their region have this tradition of naming the older son like his father. And they take it very seriously.
Though childhood nicknames are common and some of them persist into adulthood among their families like his which is FJ short for Fenris Jr. He is to be the next alpha equivalent which in this case is the Fenris. So yes he is basically a guy named King who is to become a King… King King son of former King King.
The younger is named Olafr and has remained in wolf form since he turned 5, and there is a reason.
Neither had any plans of looking for a fated mate but fate has a way to force her hand. An aunt predicted the village would be attacked and gave them the transportation to fated spell as she said only a fated mate could solve the problem. And she was right the village was attacked… by dragons. So the elder brother had to make his brother and his sister say the spell to save them from a battle they were going to lose then said it himself to escape. (The parents are fine, he made them travel to find him a bride so they wouldn’t be there)
A fated mate spell is a very individualized things though, and there are chances that neither sibling won’t jump to a time and place close by each other lifetimes but separation is always better than death right?
Well Good thing this a reverse harem! Of course the two brothers are going to pop up at the same place some hours after the other. (Sister is going be seen in again in less than 3 decades in another book don’t worry)
So this is going to be less of a story of a fish out of water and more of a mermen experiencing about land life they have only heard first hand… forgive the clumsy metaphor.
This is not a cozy meet cutes. As I said one of the brothers has lived like a wolf full time since he was 5 as a way to shift the prophecy and there are going to be problems with his human, yes you heard right , his human. Also gangsta dad of FMC is not just going to accept some fated mates coming out of nowhere messing up his ambitious plans and of course this is something that is going to stress the hell of the FMC out. Also two mates? She wolves just don’t get two mates? Right?… right?
🐺🗡️🐺🗡️🐺🗡️🐺🗡️
So… grades?
High grades in entertaining as hell: The book is never dull. Not just for the weird details, Theodora Taylor knows how to weave the story to keep you interested.
High grades in world building and Lore: werewolf romances is a big popular genre but she knows what to pick for her personal builds. And she knows what to create to make a good interesting recipe. Werewolf society feels very solid as a secret cathegory of humanoids living in secret within humanity. Their rules have internal consistency and shared consistency with other books. Also has a number of details that feel very natural like how in the us the concept “mange” is the base of many insults and derivates in things like concepts of “mange states” for places that are considered too poor or/and too backwards compared to others . Michigan is considered mange, Alaska is the opposite of mange.
High grades in FMCs being unique: Tee’s thing is being awkward and describing herself as a recluse; but it’s her thing she is not a copy paste of the other wolf FMCs just transplanted into a RH setting. The other FMCs are at differently ranged levels of social ability. And all have their own problems even if a common one is being a wolf princess in the game of wolves. Also author doesn’t fall into the trap of putting down other women, Tee gets along fine with her cousins and in her inner narration she salutes their talents. And while she has a conflictive relationship with her aunt who is also her stepmother this is more because she insists on trying to make a rap video vixen out of her and refuses to understand it wont happen, she willl just get a uncomfortable and embarrassed woman in a skimpy dress each and every time.
By the way… did I mention she is past 30? Because she is. While she jumped to fame young with a game she started when other people went to college, there is a good range of years for her to have a believable successful company of multiple games.
The MMCs are not that unique and varied through all the books as the author seems to like certain types of Alphas and Alphaholes. But I won’t knock authors personal taste and even with that the brothers are not the same guy xeroxed. So they get their passing grade on that angle and get high grades on being an interesting take on Viking werewolves.
Also bonus points for introducing twin telepathy in not twins hahah it’s well played.
Don’t ask me to grade plot quality and execution because I am physically unable to distinguish a good from a bad one unless it’s really bad. The book suceeds in what is aiming for I can tell you, the narration is enganging, the characters are interesting, and the points that are planted in the story pay off in ways that feel satisfying, that one I can tell you. Some details feel that are inserted to give colour to the tale and would have worked with just that fine then you find them having a purpose. Which is doubly amazing.
High grades for soap opera. In a good way.
Was there something I didnt like? Well I hated the elder of the brothers at times, he makes me angry at some of his actions and his logic behind those actions too. I find myself throwing middle fingers at him at some moments I will be honest, the younger brother I don’t hate that much but still some as he is still an enabler of the elder and at times he felt like he was gaslighting Tiara into forgiving the elder shitty acting. She passed from rightfully angry and upset to just forgiving them and being the bigger person, and it irks me how many times with this author the onus is on the female lead to do that while the guy protagonists get to be assholes because their precious ego was hurt.
Also if you like romance books for the grovel, forget it with this author this is not her style. Even when they are really sorry and aware they hurt their gal you won’t get that.
So counting the yays and nays… do I recomend this book? Honestly yes. It’s a fun werewolf reverse harem that I think is way superior to some of its peers I have tried. Probably the best of that category.
I say try it, unless you hate the combination of tropes mentioned too much. Sometimes you are not the audience and that is fair but if you think you might be or are curious how a good example of this type of genres would look this a great one.
The good: other than the plethora of missing words which threw off the flow at times, in comparison to other books I've read featuring minority characters, this was a well-written novel.
It had intriguing mythology though at times it was hard to follow and try to remember customs, rituals, traditions, all that good stuff. In the end it did gel together as well as to be expected.
I liked the heroine Tiana or Tee, but I am over the trope of curvy, dark skinned black women being written as insecure and super introverted. Her struggle to move beyond her own introversion and step fully into a confident woman, I guess I would have liked the journey more if the catalyst hadn't been getting good dick to literally bust her out of her shell. Another trope I'm tired of reading about.
The bad: the dub-con lemon scenes. The supernatural genre is one of my fave genres, and most authors when they write about werewolves, shifters etc, the characters are written as if they have duel personalities in one body. I get that. But reading things from Tee's perspective where her 'human' didn't want to have sex, but her 'wolf' was like bitch whatever I'm getting mine, that's where things went into dub-con territory for me and it wasn't enjoyable to read.
Then you add in the MFM with the two brothers FJ and Olafr and all three of them are using telepathy while doing it, and you have FJ coaching his brother on how to give Tee head, yeah that was a bit too much for me. I just didn't need to read their inner commentary to one another. That was super weird and the opposite of sexy.
One other thing I hated was how when Tee's anger was justified she ended up apologizing. All. The. Time. She lost her agency sort of but was able to get it back only when the brothers had to return to their world to save their village and fellow wolves from dragons.
During the wedding ceremony between Tee and FJ I really was starting to hate him. In their own way, Tee was trying to protect her fated mates from meeting the end of her father's sawed-off shot gun while they were ready to fight to the death to protect her. They wanted to achieve the same thing but their methods on going about it clashed. Tee did what she felt was right but FJ and Olafr saw it as betrayal, so FJ felt he had no choice but to punish her, and his punishment led to another uncomfortable moment.
In the end, it took Tee longer than I thought it would for her to get a happy ending, and her family's dirty laundry had been left out on the table, and that too was confusing.
The epilogue was just to set up the next book and I wish it could have been left out or mostly included as it's own sneak peek to the next series since what happened had nothing to do with what actually went on in the book. The epilogue should have shown us a more in depth reunion between Tee, her dudes, and their daughters.
Ok, so I have several issues with this book. I wanted to give this book 4 stars but I can’t.
I’m not understanding why parents (Kings and Queens) have so much control over their 30 YEAR OLD ADULT children. From the start, I had no issues with Tiara being a gamer and owning her own company but to not be social and stay in her room like she’s some teenager is crazy to me (well, that’s probably why they treated her like a child). Even Mark Zuckerburg is more social than that. I know many gamers (popular; who own multi million dollar companies) who don’t stay in their room. That was a turn off.
So we meet the brothers, KJ and Olafr. They’re the children of Chole Adams and (I can’t remember his name). They speak the fated spell to find their mate to help them fight off the dragons. Well, they BOTH say the spell and they both fall in love with Tiara.
Tiara is a 30 year old with a mind like an 18 year old. No social skills at all and then had the audacity to think that Olafr had a mental disability.
This is my first MFM and this is the reason why I won’t read MFM stories. They’re BROTHERS!!!! How nasty is that mess. I have a twin sister and I believe we have a bond but there is NO WAY we would share one man and sleep with him while telling each other how to please him. No where near sexy and on the border of perversion. Issa, no.
Tiara leaves the brothers because she’s one, manipulated and two, she wants to protect them from their father. Olafr comes to understand why but not FJ. He rapes her in front of her pack to punish her. He gives her a piss poor excuse and she “understands” why he did what he did. NO!!! The victimization is strong in this book it’s pathetic. So sad and disappointing.
Why did the Detroit kingdom have to be some ghetto thugs? It took a white man to clean them up?! We can’t have King’s and Queens (who are black) that aren’t loud mouthed that can speak a full sentence without cursing each other out? Stereotypical and embarrassing.
I can’t with this book. Highly disappointed and I’ll be the odd one out I guess. 1.5 stars.
I received this story as a ARC, in Her Viking Wolves, author Theodora Taylor, takes us on another delightful journey of fated mates travelling forward in time. This time Chole Adams sons travel to the time of their mother to find their fated mate. FJ is not as interested in finding their fated mate and send his younger brother through the portal as Olafr is wounded in battle with dragon shifters. Just as FJ is about to rescue his sister he has to use the fated mate spell before he is attacked.
The Detroit Princess Tiara "Tee" has just learned that her fiance prefers her twin brother Clyde the hard way, so she calls off their engagement and flees to Alaska. Now the fun just is just about to start as first Olafr come through the portal and Tee feel her body respond, although she is not sure why. FJ and Olafr recognize Tee has their fated mate and inform her of this, this does not go over well with Tee at all.
My favorite she-wolf of this series Tu (this she wolf has no filter and speaks her mind), has me cracking up when she gets a good look at Olafr and FJ as well. Tee who believes that she will remain an unheated female suddenly goes into heat and it on and poppin' from there as the heat overtakes her and Tee does not understand what is going on (Funniest part ever, I laughed so hard that I cried), once she realizes it. It's too late to stop Olafr from claiming her and FJ as well. As with all good stories, there are roadblocks which cause trouble for Tee and her Viking Mates, her 'father' would have her marry Kyle, but his plans are thawed with FJ and Olafr show up to claim there mate; however, this does not stop Tee's father in one last ditch effort to remove FJ and Olafr from Tee. Our Viking wolf FJ (who brought a knife to a gun fight) defeated those who would stand between him and Tee.
A must read with a surprising ending, I am ready for the next installment of this Viking series.
I really enjoyed this book! I don't usually go for too many mfm romances...just because a lot of them can be 95% sex and 5% story. Which isn't generally my thing. But I was recommended this book and thought I'd throw caution to the wind and give it a shot. lol
The Pros: - The heroine was awesome. Mostly because of how different she was than most of the heroines you usually read about. She was nerdy and awkward, she had a pretty alternative style, and she wouldn't apologize for it. I thought this was pretty cool because so many heroines are the same regurgitated long flowing hair, caramel complexioned, business executives....it was nice to read about dark skinned, yarn loc wearing, gamer girl...who was flying by the seat of her panty hose most of the time. haha
-The Heroes weren't horrifying. I've mentioned in reviews before that a lot of times in these shifter novels the guys can be borderline...Ew level alpha. But FJ and Olafr weren't. Yeah they were alpha for sure...but they were also quite sweet as well.
-The love scenes were fan worthy. haha there was the right amount to keep the book nice and steamy but not so many that you felt like you were overwhelmed by it.
-The series is really unique. The whole "fated mate" concept is genius. And it makes for a really interesting and intriguing plot.
The Cons: -The only real con I have has to do with how time works in these books. Since the whole time travel concept is pretty central to the plot, you would think it would be explained a little better. That being said, I've read a few of the other Time Traveling Wolf stories and it seems like time moves differently in each of them...which makes it a smidgen confusing. If that makes sense.
But that aside, I definitely would give this book a solid recommendation.
I received this book for a ARC review, I must 1st admit, I really don't read a lot of the werewolf/vampire/supernatural books and I was a little skeptical at 1st but I am so glad I gave it a try.I was so blown a way!! This book was so good. I finished it in 1 sitting. FJ Tee and Olafr where in a word FIRE!. it was so hot and erotic the MFM aspect with a Wolf! Amazing. I love the dialog in this boo and It was written beautifully. The story was really good an will grab you attention from page 1! a must read!!!
When I first started reading I kept waiting for that page that made people talk it up. The three way encounters were weird at first but I was able to view it as people in love. A great read with many surprises
