ما بعد الاستشراق؛ المعرفة والسلطة في زمن الإرهاب
يُعتبر هذا الكتاب سجلاً متيناً لتأملات حميد دباشي على مدى سنوات عديدة في مسألة السلطة والقوة المؤهِّلة للتمثيل. مَن في مقدوره أن يُمثِّل من، وبأيّ سلطة؟
عندما أخذَت الآلة العسكرية الأقوى في تاريخ البشرية، الولايات المتحدة الأميركية، زمام المبادرة على نحوٍ فعلي وانخرطت عميقاً في أفغانستان والعراق، أصبح الحديث موسعاً بشأن أفعال التمثيل العسكرية هذه والتي باتت أكثر تجذُّراً من حيث ادعائها بأنها مفوّضة على الصعيدين القياسي والأخلاقي.
لا يُمثّل كتاب دباشي هذا نقداً للتمثيل الكولونيالي، بقدر ما يتحدّث عن آداب المقاومة وأنماطها والتصدّي لهذا التمثيل. وفي سعي حميد دباشي للوصول إلى نمط من إنتاج المعرفة دفعة واحدة لما وراء الأسئلة المشروعة التي أثيرت حول موضوع السيادة، ومازالت حتى الآن مؤثِّرة وقوية على الصعيد السياسي، فإن التفويض الكولونيالي مسألة مركزية. يقوم الجدل الذي يطرحه دباشي على أنّ صورة فكر المنفى هي في نهاية المطاف الركيزة الأكثر أهمية لإنتاج التفويض القياسي والأخلاقي بشعورٍ مرّدُه الوجود الدنيوي. وهي القاعدة الأساس أيضاً للوصول إلى نِتاج معرفي مُضاد في زمن الإرهاب.

Hamid Dabashi
75 books202 followersBorn on 15 June 1951 into a working class family in the south-western city of Ahvaz in the Khuzestan province of Iran, Hamid Dabashi received his early education in his hometown and his college education in Tehran, before he moved to the United States, where he received a dual Ph.D. in Sociology of Culture and Islamic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University.
He wrote his doctoral dissertation on Max Weber’s theory of charismatic authority with Philip Rieff (1922-2006), the most distinguished Freudian cultural critic of his time.
Hamid Dabashi is the Hagop Kevorkian Professor of Iranian Studies and Comparative Literature at Columbia University in New York, the oldest and most prestigious Chair in his field. He has taught and delivered lectures in many North and Latin American, European, Arab, and Iranian universities. He is a founding member of the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society, as well as a founding member of the Center for Palestine Studies at Columbia University.
He has written 20 books, edited 4, and contributed chapters to many more. He is also the author of over 100 essays, articles and book reviews in major scholarly and peer reviewed journals on subjects ranging from Iranian Studies, medieval and modern Islam, comparative literature, world cinema, and the philosophy of art (trans-aesthetics). A selected sample of his writing is co-edited by Andrew Davison and Himadeep Muppidi, The World is my Home: A Hamid Dabashi Reader (Transaction 2010).
Hamid Dabashi is the Series Editor of Literatures and Cultures of the Islamic World for Palgrave Macmillan. This series is putting forward a critical body of first rate scholarship on the literary and cultural production of the Islamic world from the vantage point of contemporary theoretical and hermeneutic perspectives, effectively bringing the study of Islamic literatures and cultures to the wider attention of scholars and students of world literatures and cultures without the prejudices and drawbacks of outmoded perspectives.
An internationally renowned cultural critic and award-winning author, his books and articles have been translated into numerous languages, including Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Hebrew, Danish, Arabic, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish, Urdu and Catalan.

الكتاب يناقش بعض مؤلفات ادوارد سعيد بتأييد لمعظمها وتوضيح ارتجالي من حميد دباشي لبعض المفاهيم والنظريات بالاضافة لبضعة مؤلفات لكتاب آخرين منهم غاياتري سبيفاك. النقاش كان أصعب مما توقعت. فقدت الكاتب في كثير من الصفحات لجهلي في كثير من المصطلحات ذات العلاقة والمفاهيم الأساسية. لكن الفائدة الي كسبتها شخصياً من كتابه هي اقتباساته الحرفية لادوارد سعيد مما جعله كتابي التالي للقراءة. لا أخفي إعجابي بسلاسة شرحه لمفاهيمه الخاصة وسرد الوقائع بطريقة واضحة. سأبدأ بكتاب الاستشراق اذهلتني اقتباساته.

كتاب يدرس او يعلق على دراسات مستشرقين آخرين للعالم العربي والدين الإسلامي بالأخص إداورد سعيد ، رغم ذكره لقلة من النقاط المهمة إلا أن الكتاب في مجمله ممل لأن عبارة عن تعليق على نصوص وبحوث الآخرين!

نصادف حالة معاكسة تماما تمثلت بالنص الفارسي الأصلي لرواية ايرج بزشك زاد العم نابليون وهي رواية مبهجة تندرج ضمن أعمال الأدب الإجتماعي الساخر ..
فقدت هذي الرواية رونقها الأصلي في ترجمتها الإنجليزية

Finally a good critique of Spivak that convinces me. It reminds me of Sedgwick's view on Butler & paranoid reading too. In it I see the possibility of a non-deterministic sense of tragedy, loosening the grip of deconstruction. Or queering deconstruction?

October 25, 2017لم اكمل الكتاب وقرأت المقدمة والفصل الاول فقط، فالكتاب محشوا بالمصطلحات المعقدة والترجمة ليست مترابطة ففي كثير من المواضع لا تعرف كيف وصلت اليها ولا المقصود منها.
الكتاب أشبه بLiterature Review وكأنه يستعرض دراسات سابقة ولكن بشكل ممل للغاية.
