I still prefer "The Greek News" over this one. As always, it presented history in a clever newspaper format. It covers Aztec culture and religion rather extensively. That is good, as I've never read much on that aspect. Comes off as a little patronizing in tone, but just to mimic the style of writing in real newspapers. The jokes and puns are cheesy and eye-roll inducing. Overall, quite fun to read, and more accessible than a history textbook.
I'm so glad I picked up this edition of the Aztec news for 3 cocoa beans xD . This whole series is really fun to read and quite clever. It's like looking at history memes but a bit more educational. However I agree with another user's review that some of the jokes were kind of cheesy. I am thinking of reading the Viking News next.

The newspaper model was a fun and interesting way to deliver historical facts about a culture. A light introduction to the civilisation of Tenochtitlan. Of particular interest was the encounter between Moctezuma and the Spanish (under Cortes), the difference in fighting culture (to capture, not to kill, in order to have captives to sacrifice to the gods), the reasons for sacrifice (because the gods sacrificed themselves and had to be appeased in the same way, to bring the rain/tears, etc, and that it was an honour leading to reincarnation) and the ball sport tlachti.
