Sometimes, it's hard to know what we have until we realize we might lose it. CeCe and Holden Ashford have seen many of their dreams come true. Among them, a successful career in Nashville and finding the love of a lifetime in each other. But when CeCe makes the decision to accompany fellow country music star Jacob Bartley to an orphanage in Belize, everything she and Holden have come to take for granted will no longer be a given. Will an unexpected turn in events prevent them from ever finding their way back together again?
Virginia author Inglath Cooper fell in love with reading as a little girl, devouring most of the books in her elementary school library. At some point, she decided she wanted to pursue a writing career, creating romance fiction that did for others what her favorite books have done for her. “I love character-driven books that leave me feeling as if I’ve really known these people and make me wish I didn’t have to turn the last page.”
“Romance fiction has always appealed to me because it deals with so many of the relationships in a woman’s life. Not only the love of her life, but often her relationship with her mother, sister or best friend. Romance authors have so much room to explore many of the meaningful moments and transitions in women’s lives. And who doesn’t love a good love story?”
Inglath most often writes stories about love and life that are set in small Virginia towns like the one where she grew up. “I like to think the flavor of my hometown shows up in my books both in their setting and through the characters who people it.”
When aspiring writers ask her how to be an author, she says, “Everything I know about writing books I learned from reading books.”
Inglath has been chosen as a RITA® Award winner for best long contemporary romance novel given out each year by Romance Writers of America. Her books are available through Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, itunes.com, and Kobobooks.com.
Outside of writing, Inglath is actively involved in dog rescue, working with The Franklin County Humane Society to place dogs and cats in need of rehoming. She volunteers her time in every capacity possible: serving on the Board of Directors, fundraising, photographing dogs and cats available for adoption and serving as a foster home. “Helping an abused or neglected dog go on to have a wonderful life with a family who loves them is more rewarding than I can possibly say.”
I was hooked when I read book one, but I never thought we would be on book ten with the same story and characters. Yes I love CeeCee, Holden and Thomas and yes I want there story, but now I would love a conclusion. This book CeeCee and Holden's love and marriage is tested yet again when she goes overseas with Jacob another country music star. Holden is not happy but CeeCee goes anyway, she wants to help with the orphanage but things don't go smooth and CeeCee and Jacob are in danger. And yes I will say it, when there is book 11 I will probably buy it. This series is expensive.
This final installment of the Nashville series was one of the best but I felt like every tragedy that could fit into a few chapters happened here. The part about the orphanage pulled at the heartstrings. Then there was a kidnapping and a sick baby. Everything known to pull a reader in was used in this series. There was love, fans, music, success, stalkers, orphans, dogs, weddings, and tragedy. I'm glad I finished the series, just not totally sure I'm glad I started it.
This "10- book series" is really just one, at best 2, books. It wavers from I introduction to semi- climax repeat oops, cliff-hanger..bang! End of book, download the next. Repeat this frustrating process with no real conclusion until end of book 10 while the author tries to cover e very disaster possible for an entertainer. Irritating and exhausting. Inflate Cooper has written some interesting stories, but I am taking a vacation from her. Thank goodness I read it on Kindle Unlimited and did not buy 10 books to read one story!
Interesting. Stories too short. Should have incorporated several books for a better story line. Otherwise ok. Bought all 10, but they could have been done in 4-5 books.
I read all the books in this series and this one was the most naive. I know everybody wants to know what will happen with CiCi and Holden, but don't expect too much
Not Without You: Nashville ten is by Ingath Cooper. This is the last of the books about the Barefoot Outlaws. Things are working well with Lila and Thomas and Lexie. The only problem now is getting CeCe well after the fall that killed their baby. She isn’t the same anymore and Holden thinks it may be the end between them. He doesn’t know what to do. When she meets Jacob Bartley, he is just another singer to her; but he is a rival as far as Holden is concerned. Jacob interests CeCe in helping the fundraiser for his orphanage in Belize. He asks CeCe to go with him as ambassador to help get Baby Giovanna treatment. Holden isn’t happy with this arrangement; but doesn’t take CeCe’s invitation to come along very seriously. CeCe falls in love with Giovanna and the other children of the village and sets out to help them. However, when she and Jacob are kidnapped. Can they get them back before Giovanna needs the surgery?
The series starts with three people heading to Nashville to sing and write songs. their lives become important to the reader. We follow them through becoming successful, and the good and not so good results of living in other people's lives, while trying to keep their lives in some privacy. Doesn't always work, but you're always rooting for them. I have read the whole series three times in the last few days and I had the same emotional action each time. It doesn't hurt that the children being separated at the border is causing emotional strain. This was the perfect time to encounter this series. Read it from book one, they really follow in a very meaningful way.
I have crid and laughed with the characters in this series, Life is a series of ups and downs😂 We do take things for granted when things are going smoothly and question why bad things happen to good people. I have seen many heartaches and pain in my own life . This story reminds me just now precious living every moment with your loved ones can be. I'm looking forward to the next book in the lives of these characters and sincerely appreciate the sweet stories of this author.
I have just finished this Nashville series of books by Inglath Cooper. Totally enjoyable all ten books. I recommend whole heartedly. Her writing is seamless, love stories so sweet and heartening, handled so well. Every book is imbedded with its own Crises of events,I will not be a spoiler. I really can't find fault. If you want a treat, this is for you.........
I have just finished book10 in this series and I am so sorry there is not a book 11! All of these books are well written and keep the reader hooked. The stories are captivating and so believable. I really liked all the characters and felt I was there with them. Thank you Inglath...I can't wait to read more of your books!
This series should be made into a mini series for tv. The stories have every thing , I could not stop until I completed the series. All of the books have sex suffering murders and mayhem, along with HEA. I rated all of the books 📚 five 🌟. You won't be bored if you read the series I loved it
This is the final (thank goodness) in this series. Each in the series has some crisis to be solved, but this one tops them all with multiple catastrophes. Unfortunately I am big on closure, so I had to know what happened to this threesome, but I felt like I was being conned most of the time with too many too short episodic "books" which could have been combined into many fewer volumes.
Loved each and every book!! I was really there in every installment! You won't regret reAding this one. My world fell away as I read the wonders and horror that levelled each person and family. Extremely well written!!
The series was well written and I grew to love the characters (including their dogs). There were enough surprises to keep me guessing and plenty of romance, but not in an offensive way. Will definitely read more by this author.
Thank you for writing such a great series of stories. I enjoyed reading them so much. I felt like I knew everyone and was. Part the the family. I also listened to the sound track. Wonderful !!!
I totally enjoyed these series,so fulfilling and entertaining, sad and joy also, but the outcome was very inspiring and I do recommend the full series to readers and I know they will enjoy reading them too.
There is a lot crammed in her that you could separate it into parts. I was at least able to sleep and put it down a little bit. Amy believe the series is complete.
This is the final installment of the series and it didn't disappoint. Jacob and CeCe are kidnapped and trapped and it's up to Holden and Thomas to find them. Loved the ending to this series and the way everything turned out for everyone. Enjoyable read!
