Not, alas, a spectacular book -- much of the writing is wooden and there are editing errors -- but informative none the less. There are sections on the science of neon lighting, the history of lighting, the history of signage, the history of signage in Las Vegas, and brief bios of some of the great sign designers of Las Vegas. The real value is in the pictures (there are lots of them) of various genres of Vegas signs in their glory. A very suitable take-away from the Neon Museum in Las Vegas.
