I'm a huge fan of JC Valentine's work and this little story did not disappoint. It's sexy. It's fun. It's quick and it's thorough for what it is. Are you gonna wish you had more Noel and Hunter? Yes, yes you are. But not because this story was lacking. You're gonna want more because these two are sexy and funny and their chemistry flies off the pages!
So the story goes like this ... HA!, I'm not telling you because then why would you read :)
But just know that Hunter is a determined hot and sexy cop who wants Noel from the moment he sets eyes on her. ANd Noel is equally attracted to Hunter, but she's got her dating rules ... Someone's gonna have to come along and make her break those rules :) Let the games begin ..

Five , sexy stars, for this delightful Novella!
Ms Valentine in her normal fashion has delivered a wonderfully engaging novella ,with fantastic characters in Noel an Er nurse and Hunter a police detective! These two have an instant Chemistry that Noel will try to resist, but will obviously fail miserably at doing, luckily for us readers!
I could blather on about the story, which was wonderful, however I do not want to give away anymore than the book blurb already does. What I will say is that you will not regret reading the Novella one little bit! I would love to read more about these two, sooooo...... Any chance of that Ms.Valentine? Please!

What can I say here that hasn’t already been said when I read a J.C. Valentine story?
She is hands down one of my go-to authors when it comes to both heartfelt stories, short steamy reads or stories that threaten to burn up my kindle.
This novella falls somewhere between heartfelt and short & steamy.
On the one end we’ve not ER nurse, Noel, a woman that seems more taken with the rush of her job than the rush of romance and on the other end we’ve got Officer Hunter, a guy that given the demands of his job, pretty much reads the same way as Noel.
Both are single, and both, after a chance meeting at the hospital after Hunter is injured again, are taken by one another. But what usually happens with meetings of this sort, it appears to be a one off. Noel at the end of the shift putting it and Hunter out of her mind. At least as much as she can.
Enter the holiday Christmas party and the night that ensues once Noel appears at their door.
Their meeting is no longer just chance and even though based on the size of the story it moved at a quick pace, seems to read like fate. These two dedicated yet passionate people, they’re just meant to be and what better backdrop for that to take place than Christmas?
This story had everything I’ve come to love in a J.C. Valentine read, even with the shortened page length, delivering on the sweetness and steamy scale with a little bit of humor thrown in to keep things interesting. With two people that even though I think they’d come to terms with what looked to be a lonely holiday season, ended up with so much more.
My only complaint is that it wasn’t longer. I’m greedy and wanted even more of this couple, that’s how drawn to them I was.
If you’re a fan of the author, short stories or enjoy getting swept up in the romance of the holidays, I think you’ll enjoy this. I definitely did.

I absolutely love J.C. Valentine's writing and I was so excited that she was going to write Noel for this series. Such a great short read!! My only problem with this story is that it was way too short and ended was too soon! J.C. Valentine did a fine job with this one though!
Noel is a nurse that works long hours in the E.R. and meets many different types of people. When Noel is asked to change the bandages of Hunter Davis, she never expected to be knocked off her feet by a man that was super built and an officer that had been through many close calls. Hunter of course tries to be a tough guy in front of Noel and takes his pain as well as he can, but Noel saves him and gives him his pain medication before he even has to ask for it.
When Hunter is discharged, he asks Noel for a date, but keeping with her strict policy of no dating her patients, she refuses to go out with him. Noel did not think twice about never seeing Hunter again because of a crappy night that she ended with once her shift was over.
When Noel is invited to her friends "surprise" birthday party, she knows that she has to go or her best friend will be upset. Noel throws an outfit on and hurries to the party. When her best friend's husband opens the door, Noel never expected to see Hunter Davis right behind him at their house. Hunter is ever the gentleman and sort of takes Noel under his wing at the party. When the two of them agree to go to dinner after the party, they end up at his house and things get steamy!! Will these two be able to overcome Noel's no dating patients policy?? You have to read this great short story to find out. Thanks J.C. Valentine for a great read and I can't wait for more from you!!

Another great author that contributed to the Red Hot Holidays Anthology, and I must say that it was amazing! It had everything a reader would look for in a novel: conflict, drama, chemistry and so much banter between Hunter and Noel that as a reader, you simply can’t help but laugh. This is the first time that I’ve had the chance to read a novel written by JC Valentine and I was not disappointed! Even though it’s a novella included in the holiday special anthology, Noel: a blue Collar Christmas is also part of the Blue Collar series – the first book being a novel that I would strongly suggest reading before hand for a better reading experience – and is worth the time you spend sitting back and reading. It’s the type of novel that you can expect a happily ever after, one that you can read within a day and sigh in contentment as you think about these two characters who have found each other.

Noel is a nurse that loves the rush from working in the ER. Even with the holiday's approaching she is fine with spending her time working and giving gifts to patients which says alot about her.
Hunter is a very confident sexy cop who finds himself in the ER often. But this visit he meets Noel. Right away he knows there is just something about her that he can't resist. And Noel herself tries to hide the attraction she feels but no matter how flustered Hunter makes her she doesn't date patients.
This was a sexy,fun read. Just in time for the holiday's and perfect for a quick night read before bed. I enjoyed Noel and Hunter and liked how their chemistry was immediate and how Noel reacted to him was fun. I love how everything turned out towards the end. Even though Noel had a no dating patients rule I like how she decided just to let go and take what fate was handing her. And I mean who can resist a sexy cop anyways! Trust me this is a novella you will very much enjoy. It did leave me wanting more wishing I had more time with these two to see what happens next and get to know them more but that's just about how I always feel when reading a quick read with such a sexy fun couple. Another great read from J.C Valentine! Highly recommend!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
In this book we meet Noel. Noel is an ER nurse, she likes the fast pace action that comes with working in the ER. While working a double shift she goes in to check on the dressing of a gun shoot victim. When she first goes to check on Hunter Davis she realizes this guy is hot. The thing is Noel has a policy of not dating people she meets in the ER as patients.
Hunter thinks Noel is hot if he could just get her to go out with him. He is determined to get the girl and will use every trick in the book to see that happen.
This book is a really short story about two people who feel the spark but aren't sure how to go about making it a fire. If they meet again will that same spark be there or will the circumstances of their first meeting be all there was for these two.
This book is amazing and it really is a quick read but there is so much this author puts even into this short read. In this we get a sense of who these characters are. We get there story, as well as what could possibly happen with them in the future. I would recommend this book. This author is truly amazing she has created another amazing story even with the limited pages she gives it to us in. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

This is a quick read but it's so worth it. If you're looking for a fun, steamy, hot romance then this book is for you. JC knows how to write a short story and keep you hooked until the end. You won't regret reading this story and it will put a smile on your face.
Noel works at a hospital and prefers the ER as it keeps her busy. She has a no dating the patients rule that she likes to stick to. She makes her rounds and when she goes to check on Mr. Davis she finds Mr. Hotness with his eyes. She has to make sure she stays professional even though she is attracted to him.
Hunter is a cop and is used to always being in the hospital as part of the risks for his job. When he lands in the ER and sees a beautiful nurse come check on him, he knows that he wants her. He learns of Noel's no dating patients and he'll do what he can to break that rule.
Noel & Hunter's story is one that is hot and steamy. They both deserve happiness in their life and finding the one to settle down with. With Hunter not taking no for an answer, he will make sure Noel will be his.
Great job to the author on another great story. I highly recommend.

What a fun, easy to read, sweet holiday novella.
Noel Walker is a nurse. Her forte is the ER. She loves the adrenalin rush! At the ass end of an 18 hour shift she comes across hot as hell, built like a tank Hunter Davis. He's drop dead, (ahahah LOL) hot n hunky! So good lookin that Noel is momentarily speechless and staring! And he's the GSW that was brought in earlier. As she looks for his wound, he whips his hospital gown up, basically flashing his junk, while his beautiful green eyes sparkle and he tells her it's right next to his femoral artery. The next morning he hits on her again, asking her out. She politely declines...decides it will be just her and a bottle of Merlot for the holidays. Little does she know, her plans are about to change. As always JC Valentine brings us easy to like characters and a great story! Not to mention a hottie that will dress up like an elf with his dangerous emerald eyes!

This short story is sure to heat up your holidays because it was hot, hot, hot! In a “throw me up against the wall and have your way with me” type of hot. Hunter Davis is laid up In the hospital this holiday season and he is in the mood to frisk the sexy nurse Noel Walker who after seeing him wants to check more than just his bullet wound. Noel is lonely and needs Hunter to man handle her regardless of her “no dating patients” policy.
Hunter and Noel burn up the holiday calories in this festive short story that will have you wishing for a cop instead of presents this year. It was heartfelt, funny, and sexy which is what I require of all my steamy reads. I highly recommend for a short, entertaining read that will take your mind off your to do list and leave you fantasizing about crossing paths with the law.

I received this for an honest review. What an amazing short story for this time of year.
Noel Walker who was a nurse loved working in the ER. She lived for the fast pace on your toes type of work place. There was not a boring moment in the ER. She loved helping people and putting her all into her work. The one thing Noel did not do was date, especially her patients.
Hunter Davis who was this handsome police officer lived for the thrill of his job but once again he found himself injured and in the ER. This time like many others was a close call, so seeing this beautiful nurse was almost worth it. There was something special about her. He could not put his finger on it but wanted to go out with her.
Fate has a way putting us on the right track. Hunter and Noel find themselves meeting again. Question is can Hunter get her to go out with him?

Hunter is a Cop who has been admitted for "copping" a bullet. When Noel goes to tend to him, she is mesmerised by his eyes and his physique. To her embarrassment, Hunter notices but he is not oblivious to her either. He asks her on a date but she has a "No dating patients policy". As fate will have it, they meet by accident at a party. Hunter is the type who goes after what he wants. Will Noel give in? It is Christmas after all!
This is a short, easy, compact and pleasant read. If you are looking for a hot romance to take the chill off, then this is for you.

I was one of the lucky people to get Noel, part of the "Red Hot Holidays Anthology" as an ARC for my honest review.
Oh My Heck!! I LOVE Hunter & Noel!! When they meet, the way they meet, you would think that's it they will never see each other again.
When Officer Hunter asks ER nurse Noel out, even for a friendly drink, he's shot down. Noel doesn't have time for a relationship & she doesn't date patients. Life is funny, when you're suppose to be together, it definitely makes sure to make that happen. Needless to say they have a very merry Christmas.
I hope we get to see/hear more of Hunter & Noel's story, it would be very entertaining & AWESOME!! J.C. Valentine is a one of the Greatest authors out there. Love her books!! You'll never be disappointed!

Unfortunately, this one didn't work for me. It's a short story, only took me about 20 minutes to read. Other than the fact that it takes place around Christmas, it's not really a holiday story. Noel (a nurse) meets Hunter (a cop) when he's being treated for a wound in the ER. They flirt a little, then see each other later at a party and flirt a little more. It's cute and sweet, until the last few pages of the book and then, BAM!, steamy sex scene. I'm not prudish about the sex part, but it felt out of place and super rushed. Then it ends and I guess it's HEA because the sex was good?

I have not read all the stories in the anthology, but I read Noel: A Blue Collar Christmas. I thought it was something different, since I thought it would be only about Christmas trees and something similar. It was definitely a good surprise. Noel seems like a sweet hard working nurse and then she gets rewarded by working on a hot patient during her double shift. Mr. Davis made her feel more than she has felt in a while all by just his presence. Loved that he could definitely make her feel and change her way of thinking.

I adored this sweet tale of a busy nurse who thought she didn't have time for love until her patient, a smoking hot cop, sets out to prove her wrong.
The chemistry between the two characters are electric and their personalities are very interesting. She is very serious and dedicated, he is very cocky and confident. Together, they are lovable.
I would really love to see these characters come to life again in another novel.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. A happy, enjoyable read. I would read more by this author. The story is about a hard working nurse who meets a hot, sexy, determined patient, but she refuses to go out with him. She later meets him again at a friends place and the Sparks continue to fly.

Noel was the perfect holiday short story to get you in the mood for Christmas. The characters instant attraction was a lot of fun. I enjoyed Noel trying to avoid Hunter and then giving in. Noel was a fun and steamy read. I hope we'll get to see more of this couple in the future!

What a sweet and sexy little read. I loved it!! This will definitely help keep you warm on a cold winter night. Noel loves her job and is great at it. But one patient and a Christmas party just might change her priorities.

I thoroughly enjoyed this quick-read Christmas novella, it was just the thing I needed to jump-start the season with a little added sexiness. It shows that with a little bit of Christmas magic and Hunter's persistence, anything in possible. I want more Noel and Hunter!!

Noel is an ER nurse whose sole focus lately has been her job. In the ER she has some crazy nights and some really slow nights. Those nights are when she has time to think about how lonely her life has become. Her Christmases lately have been spent alone in her apartment downing her favorite Merlot. She never could have expected one quite night in the ER she would meet the man of her dreams.
Hunter is a cop who loves his job and lives for the adrenaline rush of catching the bad guys even when those bad guys land him in a hospital bed. Having been in this position many times before he know what to expect. This time fate surprised Hunter when he meets Noel a sweet and sexy ER. At first sight he is determined to make her break all her rules.
This story was a real holiday treat, it was steamy, sexy and fun to read. I am a huge JC Valentine fan I have read nearly all her books. This is another beautiful written tale from JC. Hunter is an alpha male hero with a sexy grin, piercing eyes and a take charge attitude. Noel is a woman resisting the chance at a possible relationship for fear of being hurt.
Hunter and Noel had chemistry to spare from the first moment they meet. After she shoots him down while he is her patient she never thought she would see him again. To her surprise they have a mutual friend and end up at the same Christmas/birthday party. The sparks fly immediately and when Hunter breaks down the walls Noel has put up around herself their attraction is undeniable and nothing can stop this couple from igniting. Their sex scene was fan yourself hot.
My only problem with the story was that I wish it was longer I loved this couple so much that I want to know what happens with them next. Since this is part of the Blue Collar Series maybe Noel and Hunter will pop up in another couples book and we can get an update on how they are doing.
If you have never read a JC Valentine book before this one is a great one to start with it will give you a taste of this amazing author and just like Noel and Hunter you will crave more.
