Abigail Denton left home to start a new life, only to have it ripped away in a brutal attack. But second chances sometimes come in the most unexpected ways. Taken from Earth, Abby is brought to a new world to become the mate to an alien warrior, however, her past has left her hesitant to trust any male…
Larger and stronger than most other warriors on Vor, Prince Dracor Krell is the perfect Captain of the Guard, but his size makes him less desirable as any female’s companion. He has given up hope at finding happiness, but all of that changes the moment he meets his mate, Abby. Now, all he has to do is prove to her that a warrior’s devotion can lead to a love that will last them a lifetime.
This was better than the first one, Warrior's Mate. It a lot less smexy times, and a lot more story. But the story was sweet and fantastic. I think Dracor will make my Top 5 of favorite alien males. What he endures to make Rox feel comfortable is astounding. I'm not sure too many of the fictional human males would do the same. I will definitely keep up with this series now. I really want Braec to be next.
I don't usually enjoy short stories but Tehya Titans style doesn't feel like you are reading a short story. Many shorts feel rushed or ,the ending feels cut short of they they have too little information in them. warriors Devotion seemed as if I was a novel and when it ended I wasn't left disappointed. I give it a solid 5 stars.
What the... The beginning of the story started out okay. There were enough elements to make me curious as to where the plot was leading. But then the two main characters have sex and that's the end of the story, literally. This is not a novella, but a short story and for 99 cents, not worth it at all, especially since once the characters have sex, that's it. Ughh, waster of time.
A compellingly amazing adventure into another world. After a tragic event on earth one young woman is whisked away to another world and there she finds happiness and love.
These are really short books, but they are one series. In the first novelette, a couple of Earth women and one man are taken to another planet to be mates to the warrior's over there (the Mars needs women-trope). In this second one the focus is on the second woman and there is more information about the why and how.
The women that are taken were all about to die on Earth plus they won't just be used a sex slaves. They are supposed to have a mate on the planet of the Vor.
What I liked about this one is that the warrior in question (the brother of the King of nr. 1) is trying to get to know his mate before claiming her.
The rest is rather formulaic. I do not expect the next one to follow a real different pattern. But I like the author's writing style and I do wish the books were longer.
This novella makes use of a number of formulas such as alien abduction due to lack of fertile females of their own (a trope I love), fated mates (also a bonus for me), biting to claim (kind of standard), and (the one that I don't care for) the female going into heat and having to have days worth of sex to get pregnant. All of these together lead to a very uninspired story. The whole story was just a lead up to the crazy horny sex. Honestly the demon thing and a unique way to bypass the insta-claiming were the only distinguishing characteristics about the book. I also hate books like this where the female just gives in immediately to being stolen away, forcibly married, and impregnated. If all these sort of things really do it for you then this is on Kindle Unlimited. I would recommend, instead, the Ice Planet Barbarian series (seriously good).
The first book was basically one long sex scene with a prologue as an excuse. Not good, but at least it wasn't really bad. This was. Silly, shallow, boring, unbelievable. In such a short space you need a very good writer or a story written somewhere else (like ss between novels in a series). No saving grace.
I really wish this novella was a fully developed and well explored (especially the romance and scifi aspects) because it had an intriguing plot and I really liked the hero and heroine as well as the cameo appearance by the previous couple. I'm also curious about the other humans and who they'll pair up with.
The book and the characters were awesome. The storyline was great and highly entertaining. It has everything you want in a book? You can feel their joy, sorrow, pain, pleasure, and you just want more. I hope there will be more books about the Warriors of Vor.
I felt the author had shorten this story instead of just writing the details. The details would have gave me a more emotional tie to the characters. I felt like it was hopping from one scene to another there didn't seem to be any good transition there.
Abby and Dracor's story was too short! Abby's back story seemed to take up too much of the story which made it seem disproportionate. The story was over before you could get a good feel for the characters, but Dracor was really sweet. I wish there's more about the Wraiths next time.
How to rate a 'book' that merely qualifies for a couple of chapters, a very short story at best? I reconcile it by giving all that fall under that category a neutral average 3 stars. If anyone has a better idea I'd love to hear it.
Loved this story. Well written and just such a lovely romance -what Dracor did for Abby so that she could get to know him without the mating instinct overwhelming him just makes you want to sigh. These stories are almost too short as it would be good to get to know the characters more.
This story was short sweet straight to the point.I thought it ended to quickly. If the author would have made this book longer with more explanation of plot it would have been great.
