Many of us think to ourselves, "I want my life to count." Because God placed eternity in our hearts, we know that someday there will be an accounting. But if we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, what is the purpose of God's judgment? God's judgment will not be a judgment of condemnation, but of reward. God will reward us for taking what is temporary (time, talent, and treasure) to produce what is eternal (the kingdom of God). This life is practice for the life to come. And our best life comes later.
