Maybe it's unfair to compare this volume to the first ones, but, at least for me, this one was not as good and enjoyable. And it's not only because Arisu was not in this volume. The story was just not as interesting. However, the art was beautifully dark and the part with the two new villains was masterfully planted into the story.

These last few chapters (the Jack of Hearts game) were one of the best so far. What made it more interesting was that most of the players were pros (because no one in their right mind would choose to play a hearts game).
Certainly hearts games are the most amazing and terrifying games. Can't wait to see what Queen of Hearts will be like.

Also, what is Chishiya doing??? I wanna know!! I expected him to participate in diamonds or hearts games...

This manga just keeps on surprising me! The story is so dark, twisting and turning, showing complex mind-blowing psychological themes and I simply can't get enough of it.

The Jack of Hearts is a hypnotherapist who takes great pleasure out of manipulating others. The rules of his game suit his murderous tendencies perfectly. With only 4 players remaining he believes he has created the perfect stage for his victory, with all the other players set to die. It turns out that the two alpha males who dominated each round survive. They have a deal among themselves and have passed each round because of it. Their ultimate goal is to become citizens of the Borderlands, which means replacing the current ones who represent the face cards in the deck. They need all the information the Jack has and won't shy away from torture to obtain it. Looking forward to a life of pain, the Jack decides to quit the game.

The King of Spades is still active outside the game venues, focusing on taking out the larger groups of players, even one that seems to be well armed and defended. There is only one survivor, a cowardly individual, who manages to run away. He meets Morizono who now seeks the King of Spades, though it's a death sentence.

Come from Netflix series because I can't wait for ss2! Finished the whole manga within a few days and it was such a pleasure experience

The idea is briliant, still haven't wrapped my head around how the author was able to come up with such awesome and meaningful story like that. It really makes me question my true identity on the verge of death, when I have to make choices that I bet my life on. I think I'll never know who I really am

I like all the characters. It's a shame that the 2 best friends of Arisu die too soon. I wanted to see them more in the story, but like the story said at some point, their deaths are " necessary evil" for Arisu to mature.
Shibuki was a calculating person and will do anything to hold on to her life. I cried when she smiles and embraces Chunta during her last few seconds of the hide and seek game. It's like she finally accepts her fate that she is about to die. It was such a hard moment for Shibuki to let go considering what she did in the past, but she did it, and at least she was happy in her last moment

no puedo evitar comprar este tomo con la serie, porque veo las diferencias que hay entre el manga y el live action

estoy amando cada vez más Alice? Por supuesto, porque el manga me da mucha más info sobre la trama con esas historias extra que ponen.

No me gusta lo de la trama de Shīrabi Isao / King of Spades porque tiene LA RE VENTAJA, al menos hasta hora.... y no me gusta cuando es así .. aunque supongo que va a terminar muerto.. o no?

I love the twists in all the games. But, I do miss those initial games where we had those life lessons and super high stakes. I didn't like ANY of those final players in the Jack game. We just can't have nice things like peaceful resolutions. But, let me tell you... that Jack deserved all he got coming to him.

I was NOT expecting Aguni to show up again, or Dodo! I was so happy to see that kid again - and it makes the inclusion of the side stories not so frustrating, since we're rooting for these characters already :)

Adding Chishya to the solitary confinement game was definitely the right call in the tv adaptation. This volume doesn't have any of our main characters in it?

Also it's interesting how they switched out Hayoto with Akane in the series, would like to see her more in the manga as I liked her character but I didn't vibe how they added the SA plot for nothing then?

Même si le jeu du valet de coeur reste secondaire, on comprend bien les messages que l'auteur veut faire passer, en montrant notamment les différentes motivations et perspectives des habitants de Borderland. Le début de l'épreuve physique n'est pas aussi haletante que prévue. On reste clairement sur notre faim alors que les choses sérieuses devraient commencer.

Dengan kemampuan hipnosis yang dimilikinya, Jack of Hearts akhirnya gagal mempengaruhi dua peserta terakhir. Sebab, mereka berdua memiliki pemikiran dan intuisi yang lebih tajam. Di sisi lain, kisah sampingan kembali kepada Dodo yang bertahan hidup dari permainan King of Spades yang ahli menembak. Meskipun ia penakut, ternyata nasib bisa membawanya untuk tetap bertahan hidup dan bertemu Agni.

No me esperaba nada de lo que pasó en ambas historias, incluso cuando todo parecía claro en circunstancias y sospechosos. En serio que le beso su bello cerebro al autor, me encantan los giros que da la historia, los personajes, sus motivos, habilidades, etc.
Ahora con el K francotirador, no pensé que tuviera tantísimas alternativas, en serio me interesa conocer más sobre ese personaje.

though i missed arisu in this volume, i have to point out how the reappearance of some unexpected but loved compelling characters i wished to see more of came like a breath of fresh air - especially paired together in an incredible tense game of survival.

The game of Solitary Confinement continues and people get eliminated very quickly.
Meanwhile, the entirety of Borderlands continues the King of Spades’ game, which remains a bloodbath too, and a few key characters meet.

Exciting conclusion for the Jack of Hearts game. Afterwards, the focus shifts to the King of Spades. Next volume is going to be a major showdown. 5/5 for me.
