Discredited journalist Ella Jerome isn’t thrilled about working at Adelaide’s fanciful tabloid the Informer. So when zoologist Adam Lowell seeks her help in finding his missing cousin, she’s cynical of his claim a monster lurks near the Church of the Resurrection. The trouble is, solving the gruesome case could be her best shot at restoring her reputation.
With her old instincts resurfacing, Ella combs the Port for clues. Experience tells her the only monsters are the human variety, and the bloodied stonemason certainly raises her suspicions. But when her investigation turns up everything from petrified remains to the headless carving of a dragon, the truth threatens to steal both her sanity and the man she’s falling for.
After all, gargoyles can’t be anything other than harmless stone. Or can they?
Wonderful, exciting, adventurous and thrilling! The author takes you on a fantasy journey from past to present in epic proportions on the loyalties of brothers and good and evil. Even the criminals were good doers (pun intended) in the story. Just like in the real world the government rather blow up all the evidence once the world sees what they already knows exist rather than help whatever means to preserve what historical factor that can save what little humanity is left. And it's great that St. Roamin lives in the sea free!
Too long, the author could of shorten the book. There were chapters written that did nothing for the story. And other things the author left off- like what where the twins doing for 1400 years? Why all of a sudden they show up in some town in Australia and start to run havoc. I found the main character, Ella, boring and whiny and stupid for going back to the church numerous times. And the climax ran too long. By then I could care less and why all of sudden did a dolphin show up?

This particular EVIL has survived over 1,600 years and so too have the twin brothers born on SANHAIN. One fights to destroy mankind and the other for his faith in GOD and mankind! BATS , DEMONS AND GHOSTS lend their SUPERNATURAL BEINGS to this fast paced tale. Does NOT disappoint. I RECOMMEND! ENJOY.
I was intrigued by the description and I'm glad I gave this a try. Really good story with a very interesting twists. Reporter Ella Jerome gets more than she bargained for when she's asked to join an investigation into missing girls. What she finds goes much deeper than she (or anyone else) expects. I was surprised at the reason for the grotesques and the mystery of how they were created. The author did a great job providing something unexpected. Very imaginative and suspenseful up to the very end.
I'm so glad to have decided to pick up this book. it definitely left me in twists and turns. I definitely dropped the book a few times because I just couldn't deal with the events. I got so enthralled in this book it was ridiculous. I would and will recommend this book to everyone in my family and then more
