Vor etlichen Jahren habe ich mich näher mit „Wreck this Journal“ beschäftigt, ein Buch, dass dazu animieren soll, seiner Kreativität freien Lauf zu lassen, während man kleine Aufgaben erfüllen muss. Nun hat der Loewe Verlag mit „Post this book“ ein Buch der selben Art veröffentlicht und ich muss sagen, dass man auch an diesem Buch durchaus seinen Spaß haben kann.

Hier werden der Kreativität kaum Grenzen gesetzt. Ein Video drehen? Kein Problem! Seine erledigten Aufgaben auf seinen Social Media-Kanälen teilen? Aber hallo! Gleichzeitig gibt es aber auch die kleineren Aufgaben, wie z.B. Kreise farbig ausmalen, Sprech- und Denkblasen ausfüllen oder sich einfach auf einer leeren austoben und dort zeichnen und schreiben, was einem gerade einfällt.

Die Aufgaben sind dabei sehr vielseitig, sodass hier nicht allzu schnell Langeweile aufkommen dürfte. Dennoch gibt es auch einen Kritikpunkt: So sehr ich das Buch und dessen Aufgaben auch mag, so sehr musste ich auch leider feststellen, dass ich für manche Aufgaben aus der Zielgruppe herausgewachsen bin, sodass ich diese nicht erfüllt habe. Dennoch bin ich der Meinung, dass besonders Teenager hier ihren ganz groß Spaß haben dürften und dies ist schließlich auch die Hauptsache.

Kurz gesagt: „Post this book“ ist ein netter Spaß für zwischendurch, dessen Aufgaben allerdings nicht immer meinen Geschmack treffen konnten, was ich jedoch auch nicht erwartet habe. Wer also bereits Bücher wie „Wreck this Journal“ mochte, der sollte auch „Post this book“ eine Chance geben und sich dessen Aufgaben widmen.

If you're looking for something to get your creative juices flowing then this is the journal for you. Post This Book is a fun, creative and entertaining way to bring social media and art together. This journal features different prompts on each page such as coloring, doodling, and literally thinking outside of the box since not every prompt requires you to use the book. The idea of this journal is to create your art based off the inspiration you get from the prompts and afterwards post your finished results to your social media account using the hashtag #postthisbook. Right now social media is one of the biggest things in the world so why not have another reason to use it? Post This Book makes social media fun, and since a specific hashtag is used, it allows you to connect with others who have this journal. Also, let's face it, everyone gets into a slump every now and then. Whether it be an author, photographer, artist, or all 3, Post This Book has enough ideas to get every mind flowing.

This is a great little book that is full of fun prompts inspiring you to be creative. Take a step back from social media to create, and then share on social media with your friends and other artsy people. My favorite jumpstarts were Re-homing a penguin, mug shot, post found numbers and film a thumb war in costume (I'm assuming the thumbs are in costume, not the filmmaker. :)

Although I had a preview copy and it was a digital edition, I loved flipping through the pages and seeing all of the different opportunities, and I can't wait to get started with some of these exercises (and to get one for my close friend so we can play together)!

Creative people in a creative stump, people who want to be creative, people who have nothing to do and just about everyone else will love Post This Book for its creative content. Basically, Post This Book is something like Wreck This Journal, where it provides you with instructions to do anything and everything creative and fun! The instructions ranges from drawing, coloring, filming videos, etc. It's a really fun book, and it's very interesting and interactive.

I can't say much about this book because I only have the pdf copy and can't actually draw on it or anything, but I have to say that it has a huge range of activities, and a couple is bound to catch your attention. I'd actually love to own a copy of this and film videos while participating in the challenge for others to see how fun this book is!

Also, this book has a hashtag (#PostThisBook) for participants to see each others' works and get ideas from each other. I really love the idea of the hashtag since I think it will bring the community closer to each other. I definitely recommend giving this one a shot!

Social-Network-Book for people who don't know what to post next and followers with a high tolerance for pigs-with-wigs pictures. Some nice ideas! And a good marketing strategy in itself.
The use in ebook-format is possibly but requires even more creativity ;-)

Die soziale-Netzwerk-Variante von #MachdiesesBuchfertig. Einige nette Ideen sind dabei und bringen neue Kreativität in den eigenen Blog oder das eigene Profil. Allerdings plädiere ich dafür, dass nicht alle Vorschläge ausgeführt werden müssen.
Die Autoren sollten extra-Punkte dafür kriegen, dass sich das Buch selbstständig weiterbewirbt.
Wenn man das Buch nur im Ebook-Format vorliegen hat erfordert die Umsetzung sogar noch mehr Kreativität ;-)

This is a really cool book. It is a creative adventure begging you to fill in it's pages.

I haven't done all the posts yet, mostly because at this moment I don't own crayons or colored pencils and I have this as an e-book so, I'd have to print most the pages out.
One day I will do these all, maybe when I have more time and can but creative materials.

I really love this idea and the being social aspect. I might not always post everything I do in the future but, I will finish it all. Many unique and cool ideas.

Recommend? YES! If you use social media you should definitely grab this book and have fun!

This books, Post This Book, is a cool creative book to give prompts to work through. The use of the #postthisbook is a brilliant marketing skill that the author employed. I am sad to say that as a ebook it is difficult to fully utilize this book because one cannot scribble on the pages. Great book none the less and there are awesome art prompts all over in this book! Thanks to the author and the publisher for the opportunity to review this book for net galley!

I love this book. I don't think I can say that enough. Each page is a new interactive challenge that encourages you to get creative. I enjoyed it, my kids enjoyed it...the people I randomly told about it while I was taking pictures for my book challenge enjoyed it. No, seriously they did. I promise. SO MUCH FUN!

*I received a copy of this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review* This is a nifty little book. I love the concept of it and how it sparks creativity. The only issue I had was that it was an ebook. It's going to be a little challenging to fully use and enjoy this. I'm assuming the printed version is a lot better.
