Chocolata toma su baño diario en la laguna. Un día se entera de que en la ciudad hay una casa de baños, y decide salir de la selva con la intención de probarlos. Para no parecer tan salvaje, se compra un chándal y unas zapatillas deportivas con lucecitas, dispuesta a conocer la vida en la ciudad. Al llegar a la capital, Chocolata hace una rápida incursión en los hábitos urbanos más tópicos, actuales y reconocibles desde la mirada infantil, y experimenta otro estilo de vida.

Description in Chocolata takes her daily swim in the lagoon. One day she finds out that there is a pool in the city and decides to leave the jungle with the intention of trying it out. In order not to seem so wild, she buys a tracksuit and sneakers with little lights, ready to discover life in the city.

Arriving in the capital, Chocolata quickly immerses herself into the most common urban habits, recognizable from a child’s perpective, and experiences another lifestyle. In this story, Marisa Núñez talks about wishes, desires, friendship and the importance of experience and valuing what we have around us. The African-inspired illustration is cheerful and colorful; masterfully expressing different human profiles through the animals of the jungle, and reflecting the humor and optimism of the narrative.

Disfrutando de la city como chocolata, es mi ídola, a pesar de ser un hipopótamo. Estaría mejor si fuese un caballo pero todo no se puede pedir😞😞😂😂🐎🐎💪💪💪

Este álbum ilustrado ten todos os ingredientes para encantarlles a todos aqueles nenos e nenas aos que lles guste oír historias orixinais sobre animais salvaxes. Neste caso a protagonista é a hipopótama Chocolata que convive na lagoa con outros moitos animais e decide un día achegarse á cidade para acudir a unha casa de baños. Pero ir á cidade require amañarse ben e en primeiro lugar hai que poñerse guapa. Despois percorreremos a cidade con ela e veremos como lle transcorre o día ata regresar á lagoa.

Temos multitude de animais tanto na lagoa coma na cidade, liñas curtas moitas delas rimadas e con bo ritmo para facilitar tanto a lectura como a repetición e unhas ilustracións fantásticas. Poucos libros hai que remitan a cidades africanas e iso está moi orixinal.

Entendo que tanto os lectores que se inician coma tamén aquelas nenas e nenos aos que se lles lerá o libro estarán encantados coa aventura de Chocolata.

Adicionalmente, hai acceso a material interactivo desde o propio libro aínda que eu non accedín a este e quedeime simplemente coa lectura dos textos impresos.

O conxunto de texto e ilustración é moi equilibrado e encheume realmente o ollo!

Czekolada kupuje dres zapinany na suwak i wygodne trampki a potem wyrusza do miasta, by zobaczyć, czy tamtejsza łaźnia faktycznie jest lepsza od błotnych kąpieli. Historia i rysunki - przeciętne, ale zadziwiająco trafiające w gust dzieci.

Beautiful, great illustrations, but the text is silly, dull, and lacks any interest. I didn't read the book in its original language (Galician), so I may have missed the rhyme, if there is any.

Chocolata é uma hipopótama que sai da sua terra para a cidade, passa por lá uns tempos e é muito bem tratada, mas volta a saber apreciar melhor o lugar onde pertence. "Cochalaataaa!" (quem leu entende ;)
