¿SE PUEDE AMAR MÁS A UN LIBRO? Pues os voy a responder: NO.
Creo que esta joya es un libro imprescindible para todos los que amamos el mundo de Disney. En él vais a encontrar todos los rasgos importantes de su historia, desde sus comienzos hasta hoy, pasando por las películas y cortos de animación, acción real e incluso de "experiencias" Disney (parques, cruceros, atracciones, etc!). Cada página de este libro desprende esa magia que solo Disney puede conseguir. Es un precioso libro ilustrado del mundo Disney que no os deberíais perder.
Por poner una pega, me han faltado que hablasen de algunas películas imprescindibles para mí como Hércules, El jorobado de Notre Dame o El retorno de las brujas. Obviamente se mencionan en la cronología que sale en el libro o en algunas curiosidades, pero no se profundiza en ellas como sí hacen con otras películas, y la verdad es que me hubiera encantado. Pero esto no consigue que ame menos el libro, porque ha sido maravilloso.

I am a huge Disney fan and adore reading anything about the behind the scenes workings of the movies and theme parks. This book is full of facts and photos from the past. Not really aimed at young children, older children or adult fans of Disney will be more appreciative of this book.

El libro guía al lector para conocer la historia de Disney desde sus inicios y la creación de los primeros personajes hasta la actualidad. En él se puede ver como se crearon los primeros, incluyendo a Mickey Mouse, que marca el inicio de todo. Se detallan una gran cantidad de objetos de Mickey Mouse de aquella época en la que el personaje arrasaba. Multitud de archivos Disney muestran el trabajo que supone crear a los personajes, tanto de películas de animación como de las obras con actores que se han estrenado en los últimos tiempos.
Es de tapa dura y viene dentro de una caja abierta por un lateral. Imágenes a todo color y un diseño muy especial que me ha encantado.
Algo que me gustó mucho fue ver toda la información acerca de los efectos especiales de películas como Mary Poppins o Piratas del Caribe así como ver por orden cronológico las películas.
Las sorpresas y guiños que esconden muchas de las películas de Disney fue uno de los momentos del libro que más disfruté. Nunca me había fijado en esos detalles o personajes que incluso conectan unas películas con otras y vienen perfectamente detallados con imágenes y explicaciones.
En el índice final se muestra el listado de nombres de películas y personas que rodean el universo Disney ordenados por orden alfabético y con las páginas en las que aparecen. Esto es muy útil para buscar una película en concreto y poder ver en las diferentes páginas que aparecen en el índice todos los detalles sobre ella.
Ha sido un libro que he disfrutado mucho porque la cantidad de detalles y curiosidades que se dan no los conocía en absoluto. Si conocéis a alguien que le guste Disney, este será, sin duda, un regalo con el que acertaréis.

I loved this one. Great look into the making of the films and original sketches into production art. It was really cool getting to see just how different some of the characters looked before the final product was released. I really enjoyed the Disney timeline that started off the book.
As a Disney lover this was a must buy for me and if you like Disney you'll probably like this one too.

Within the last couple of years, I have begun to read numerous books all about the world Walt Disney created from animated films, tv shows, theme parks, and stage shows. What sets this Disney book apart from so many others is the access to the Disney archives Jim Fanning had. That means the reader gets to see so many long-hidden photographs, artwork, artifacts, and ephemera not seen for many decades. That adds a richness to the pages as the book divides itself up into animated works, live action movies, and theme parks.
There are lots of new details revealed about the creation of films like "The Little Mermaid," "Snow White," "Mulan," and "The Lion King." We get to see the inspiration sketches used for rides like The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and it's a small world. We see collectibles and pins from the 1930s on. But my favorite, favorite parts of the book were the pages dedicated to revealing the hidden Easter eggs sprinkled throughout Disney and Pixar films. For years and years, I have always heard about them, but, truthfully, I have never been able to spot them on my own. The book actually pinpoints where each of these hidden treasures are and even circles them in the scene, so it's even more apparent. I am looking forward to now going back and watching the films to spot them on my own. These pages were the ones that really tickled me.
This is a short book, but DK always jam packs each page with visuals and information, both old and new. It's not the most in-depth reading and may be not the most insightful or critical, but it does the job. It's a good addition to one's Disney book collection based on its own merits.

Disney historian Jim Fanning has done an outstanding job in creating this coffee table book for DK Publishing. Touching on all aspects of Disney's work, from films and television through theme parks, the book is a visual delight.
Photos from the Disney archives make the book entertaining just to look at, let alone actually reading the text. This is the one unfortunate thing about coffee table books; their size makes them unwieldy. Thus, despite the book's relative brevity (<200 pages), it took a while to read because of its awkward size.
Still, highly recommended for Disneyphiles.

Für wahre Disneyfans und die, die es werden wollen, ist das Buch eine Offenbarung.
Das Buch erzählt von Disneys Anfängen, wie die Filme entstanden sind, welche Ideen die Macher hatten und das Buch liefert vor allem viele Hintergrundinformationen.
Ich weiß, dass es auch kritische Stimmen zu dem Disney-Konzern gibt, aber dieses Buch ist ein reines Fanbuch und das wollte ich auch so haben :)

Todo fan que se precie de Disney, Pixar y el mundo de la animación debería leer este libro. Es un recorrido por la historia del gran maestro Walt Disney desde sus inicios hasta lo que era la compañía en 2017, fecha de la publicación. Walt fue una persona increíble, su espíritu se respira hasta después de su fallecimiento y se ve reflejado en estas páginas, persona a persona. Me ha gustado que se nombren a tantos implicados, sea su trabajo en pequeños o grandes proyectos; que se recompense su esfuerzo de una manera tan bonita. La calidad de las páginas, los bocetos, materiales y objetos de colección rescatados para la publicación le dan la magia que necesita un libro como este para ser y sentirte niño. La historia de Mickey Mouse también está! Sin embargo, faltan datos de alguna películas eternamente conocidas, y eso me ha dejado con ganas de más. Aún así, no pierde calidad, de hecho, es bastante largo (y grande) y habla hasta de los parques temáticos Disney en todo el mundo. Muchas menciones a Pixar, me ha alegrado un montón. Faltan muchas cositas por descubrir, sin duda, pero yo por el momento me callo ya.

Of course I loved it it's a book about Disney! The only reasons why it's not a 5 stars is the way the book is written. I don't really understand the order, at the beginning it was chronological but near the middle the author didn't talked about every movies (and I hoped he did) and the order was not logical... it was bothering me.
I have to say that I didn't learned much so if you are a huge Disney fan and know basically everything maybe skip this one.

Absolutely fantastic, incredibly interesting and a must-have (and read!) for every big Disney fan. This book really steals you into the magic of Walt Disney's imaginations and I believe everyone learnes something new. I'm completely blownaway.

Nice book with a ton of Disney information from animation to park rides. I definitely stopped a few times and said, I didn’t know that! Great pictures and details for fans to enjoy!

This book is a work of art, that tells Disney's history in a fun and beautiful way, highlighting the most important events and bringing awesome facts about Disney that almost nobody is aware of.
As a Disney lover since birth (quite literally), it was magical for me to see how things evolved and work at a Disney production and how they revolutioned the industry of animation. I just wished they did more hand animatted movies, like the classics - the CG animation is getting ironically old, haha!
If you want a perfect table book with content that can actually be read in a sitting, get this book!

Muazzam güzel bir kitaptı..❤ Benim gibi Disney dünyası hayranıysanız (eğer değilseniz bile bu kitaptan sonra olacaksınız 😉) kaçırmamanız gereken bir kitap. Bu kitap Disney'in perde arkasına götürmekle kalmıyor, geçilen tüm aşamaları da anlatıyor. Bir karakterin nasıl oluştuğu, kostümler ve dekorların nasıl oluştuğu gibi birçok soruya yanıt veren bu kitap renkli görselleriyle sizi Disney dünyasının bilinmeyenlerine götürüyor.

A beautiful book filled with Disney! I love reading about the history of Disney, the animation process, the parks, the characters etc. This book breaks everything down into bite sized chunks and it's full of wonderful art and photographs. I especially loved the concept art they used.
My version even comes with original film strip from Brave. This one is a keeper!
This could be enjoyed by both adults and children, it would also appeal to even the most causal Disney fan.

En este libro se recopila la historia de Disney desde sus inicios hasta sus películas más actuales,pasando por los parques Disneyland.
Pero igual que de ciertas cosas me han sobrado,de otras cosas(de ciertas pelis) me han faltado.

Es un libro muy bonito, no solo te dice como se crean las películas, habla sobre los parques, la bso, las personas que trabajaron allí...creo que es un libro indispensable para los fans de Disney

This book immediately caught my attention because I am a huge Disney fan. It contains interesting information about Disney movies, theme parks, Walt Disney etc. Thanks to this book I have encountered movies I wasn't really interested in and I am planning to watch them as soon as possible. It is also a very easy read. It was a very fun and informative book for me as well. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Disney.

Beautiful illustrations, great information I never heard or read before. I really enjoyed it, and in fact, this book inspired me to watch some old Disney-movies that I have missed, and secretly I already finished two☺️

El libro de Disney, escrito a modo enciclopédico abarca desde los inicios de su creador Walt Disney hasta su último filme Inside Out de 2015, por lo que hablamos de un libro no altamente actualizado, ya que su edición pertenece a este mismo año.
Lo más interesante, desde mi punto de vista: son las páginas o apuntes dedicados al diseño de vestuario, sobre todo de películas como Maleficent o La Cenicienta.
Si sois fans del mundo Disney recomiendo enormemente este libro, ya que además viene acompañado de un fragmento de la tira original del filme de Brave (2012).

مث یه ترکیب آرت بوک با کتاب معرفی و دایرة المعارف بود که خیلی خیلی خیلی جذاب نوشته و به تصویر کشیده شده بود
کاش آپدیتای جدیدشم منتشر کنن که فیلماو انیمیشن های جدیدشو بتونیم اینطور داشته باشیم چون آپدیت نبود و میتونم بگم از 2015 به اینور خب خیلی چیزا ساخته شده که نیاز دارن تو یه کتاب جدید آورده بشن، 🤝

Lots of good bits here, but mostly I loved how much concept art was included.
(Also, did I know Daisy had nieces named April, May & June? Maybe, but this was a good reminder nonetheless.)

So I absolutely love anything disney related, (apart from Frozen,don't hate me! It's just plain annoying) anyway, I saw this in the book.store and immediately grabbed it and brought it. I love the history of anything that has made an impact on the world, and Disney has certainly made it's mark on the world.
Hands up being honest I knew nothing about Disney or how it was first created or anything really containing it's history so this was a real eye opener for me. The book contains many pictures of Walt Disney, his background in creating this magical world and paragraphs revealing snippets of information on the film's that were made, how and why. The detailed planning of the theme parks.
I didn't realise there were so many films made by Disney, many sadly I'm ashamed to admit I've never heard of! And so, I plan to rectify this problem by watching as many as possible from today onwards.

A phenomenal look into all aspects of Disney: from cartoon shorts and films, all the way to parks and even memorabilia. It's all covered here, but not to the point of boredom. Just enough detail with quick reading and vibrant pictures to keep you interested. One of the best books I've ever read regarding Disney.

En primer lugar, por supuesto, por la magia.
Pero además de eso, estoy fascinada por el modelo empresarial que ha hecho que siga siendo una de las compañías más famosas del mundo.
Así que me encantó ver cómo fueron sus comienzos y recordar tantos personajes especiales.
