Wolfe Creek is a place with a zero percent divorce rate because wolves mate for life. Most meet their mates by the time they are twenty-five. The Alpha is already thirty-two and still unmated. Unrest is starting to rise in both him and his pack. Something’s got to give.
Hunter is on the prowl, searching for his mysterious nightly lover. She has to be his mate, but he can’t find her anywhere. He’s well past his breaking point and needs to find her before he loses his mind.
Catherine Kinney is struggling to get by from day to day with no job or money. She was doing well in school and work until she started dreaming of him. Damn him and his beautiful blue eyes, she thought.
Both of them thought they were going crazy. They developed a love/hate relationship for sleep. Would they ever find peace? Just when they feel like there’s no hope, fate steps in and brings them together.
But what happens when you get what you ask for and then some?
Can they handle the passion that engulfs them both? Especially when they can feel each other’s emotions.
I read two books by this author pretty much back to back. I adored this one. I love that they both were virgins. I loved how protective and sweet the hero was. Just a low stress instalove read. Sometimes I just need that.
This author does not always work for me, but I loved this story! It was a short, hot smutty read! There was ZERO pushing away. Which I loved and needed at this moment. Sure, some of the dialogue was strange and the story moved along at mach three, but I did not care. It was fast, fun and just the type of read that will help you recover from a less than stellar book.
Knowing that she hadn’t been touched by another set my dick off. I was spewing a little bit of my seed onto my sheets.
"Wolfe's Den" is the story of Catherine and Hunter.
Now superficially, the blurb sounded perfect. A alpha wolf hero finds his soulmate miles away, and lures her after months of dream fucking, to really fuck her.
Now the actual book though was filled with gold one liners like the aforementioned as well as loads of cum spewing and shooting to the womb, breeding with pup talk, combusting with orgasms, and things travelling at the speed of 3x10*8m/s aka speed of light.
There's a lot of jealousy and drama, pack drama, telepathy, soaked panty preluding sex and some HEA.
I know I'm putting too much logic into this and insta love novels are supposed to be minimal plot wham bam thank you mam, but seriously I had expected more and hence the disappointment.
And also I still hate virgin heroes.
Safe
2/5 (generous)
P.S. Here's another GEM
I heard him let out a low growl. Damn it, love. I’m already leaking on the floor here. I want your lips wrapped around my cock. -Our horny hero to our horny heroine aka the cum bucket..LITERALLY
This story was just what I needed. A short, sweet shifter book with lots and I do mean lots of sexy times. Not that I'm complaining, God no. ;)
I really liked the main characters, both were super crazy about each other and also very protective. I did feel a bit sorry for them for having this sexy dreams for the past six months and not knowing who and how to find the person from their dreams. In the end everything worked out as it was supposed to. We even get a bit of action and of course a wonderful HEA. :D
I really enjoyed the story line and the fact both the H and h were virgins and could only be with each other as mates. In my opinion though, it was way too short. There was so much crammed into a few pages and it felt very rushed, even the sex scenes. It has great potential to be a longer book. The writing was off a little to me as well. At times, I felt it was too stiff, for lack of a better word. I would still be interested in reading more in the series.
This was really a feel good kind of book. Of course I wish it was longer and less rushed, so that there was more character development, but in general it was a good book especially when you're looking for a book with no angst, drama, or pushing away. I enjoyed the storyline and particularly liked that both were virgins, which didn't interfere with the level of heat, it was hot!;) I will for sure read more books by this author.
3 1/2 stars This was a nice fast read. I wish we could have had more time to delve into the couples relationship but I really liked this one regardless. I am hoping with each new book more of the history will be revealed since it seems very interesting. All in all this was just what I needed and wanted, a great steamy shifter romance. Would I have liked a longer book? Yes, but only because I liked this so much. I highly, highly recommend this to anyone who love PR.
What's not to like? Over-the-top alpha male H, and both H and h were virgins! I was surprised that I enjoyed reading this series while I normally thought the author's books were just OK. Guess I'll stick to her paranormal romance from now on.
2 1/2 stars. The writing, narration and dialogues were a bit off. But I enjoyed Hunter's desire to breed, his possessiveness/obsession over Catherine. And he's a virgin at 32 years old.
PS. I almost couldn't stand the "Mr. Grey" thing though. *rolls eyes* And I find them communicating through their minds ridiculous.
I really adored that the hero and heroine were both virgins in this read! This book made for a sweet, although predictable shifter romance. I never felt much depth with either the plot or characters. However for a light and easy to read shifter romance (without a lot of unnecessary angst) this one will do the trick. Plus its offered as a kindleunlimited.
Romantic porn with a story that is better than Alex Riley.
88 pages, 100% safe.
I lowered stars because I didn't like the and there was just too much sex.
Some of the language used was not erotic but just disgusting IMHO, and a complete turn off at times.
All and all, it is what it is, and I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. I just feel the author has talent, and could make this a well written erotica story if more effort was put into it.
The farther I read into this story the less I liked it. The world is against the heroine and the hero is a big child that can't control his actions. Then the crass erotica started. The plot seemed contrived so that we could read about the characters' dirty sex lives as much as possible. The heroine's parents are terrible, but she was just as unlikable. Much of the dialogue is awkward. The writing was off-putting and stiff.
The writing and dialogue didn't really work for me but I enjoyed the story line. I was hoping for a little more intimacy and getting to know you parts between the couple but the sexy times were pretty hot. And a virgin alpha hero? How could I not read it?!?!
3.5 stars.Good hot read! it was way too short though! Loved Hunter and Cat! writing wasn't perfect but i enjoyed it:) I want to read about Chloe and Eric and Kane. safety gang safe.
Wolfe’s den is book one in the Wolfe creek series. This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. I read this book within half an hour and was satisfied throughout. Catherine as been having steamy dreams about a man she has never met for six months. When Catherine loses her job, she becomes desperate to find a new one. When she sees an ad online for a new resort opening, she leaves them a message but doesn’t expect a response. Hunter is the alpha of Wolfe creek. At the age of thirty two time is moving too quickly when it comes to mating. Hunter has been dreaming of his mate for six months but has had no luck finding her. When he listens to the voicemail of a potential employee, he knows its his mate. What he didn’t expect was for his mate to be a human. Not afraid of his feelings he gathers information and has his mate brought to him. The chemistry between Catherine and Hunter was instant and I really liked that they had finally found one another. When someone becomes a threat to his mate, it’s down to Hunter to find and save his woman before its too late.
Hunter knows he is older for an alpha who has not found his mate, he has been dreaming of her though. Catherine Kinney has been dreaming of Hunter, fantasizing so much it led to distraction while she failed college. Seeing an opportunity for a job, she makes an impassioned plea for the job. Hunter knows Catherine is his mate when he hears her voice, but she is human. A human living in a shifters world is unheard of or is it?
Fun read, liked the dynamic of were-human mates. Had a few surprises along the way and lead into the next book.
This is the first book in the Wolfe Creek series by C.M. Steele. I don't know why it took me so long to read this one, I actually read the fourth one first. I didn't think I liked shifter books so I avoided them until an author sent me one to try and now I love them. Catherine is a 21 year old college dropout trying desperately to find a job because her bills are piling up. Her rich parents are ashamed of her and have completely cut her off financially. She wouldn't sleep with her ex-boyfriend so he started horrible rumors about her and got her fired from her last job. She's been having dreams about a gorgeous man she's never met for over six months and it's effecting her when she's awake also. She sees an ad online for a new resort called Wolfe's Den so she calls them and leaves a message practically begging for a job. Hunter Grey is 32 years old, a wolf shifter and Alpha of his pack. He's also the CEO of his family's company, Grey Corporation, he has a younger sister and brother. He's been dreaming about a beautiful stranger and he knows she's his mate but he cannot locate her and it's starting to take a toll on him.
I liked the start up til the point when the main characters met. The conversations between them all just came across as extremely immature to me and they all started to irritate me. Even the sex couldn't save this - it wasn't descriptive or sexy for that matter - there was just lots of cum.
Argh, it just didn't work for me, maybe I'll try this author again but I think the writing just isn't for me.
Premise was good unfortunately the writing for me left a lot to be desired. Silted and a bit juvenile ....with some work could be a good book and a good series.
Well, it is what it is. Too short for any real character development or build up of sexual tension. The dialogue was immature, but I do love a hero who growls. ;)
The Cons: ❌The writing needs polishing and filtering ❌MC came off as bitchy and ungrateful at the start. The girl is broke and desperate for a job but says wants to give her future boss a "piece of her mind." ❌Plot was hella weird/awkward and too convenient. But it's a short instalove anyway, so I guess it's understandable.
The Positives: ✅ Plenty of spice; practically consumed the second half of the book. Now it wasn't that spicy, but it felt like getting unlimited second helpings at a restaurant. ✅ Found family. I'm a sucker for those. Hunter has got some incredible & supportive siblings. ✅ 1st half was a struggle, I'll admit, but I really enjoyed reading the 2nd half. My attention gravitated toward Chlore, Gage, & Creed. Also wondering if Chloe has a book after that tidbit at the end.
This book was really a fast pace book as well as an ok read. This story was about Hunter finding his mate since he has been dreaming of her for 6 years. Catherine has also been dreaming about her blue eyed lover for 6 years and all the exotic things he was doing to her. She has fallen on hard and is unable to find a job due to her ex going around saying negative things about her which has caused her to dislike him even more. Also her parent don't care to deal with her so she lives her life the way she wants and not ask her parents for any financial assistance. Well after looking on internet she sees ad for a position and figured that she will search site to see if there are any position open, but don't see any and calls instead to leave a message looking for job. My response about this story is that it was ok, but maybe a bit rushed. It just didn't feel real while reading it. I not sure people fall in love at first sight, however this was just too quick for these two lovebirds to find their happy ending.
I really enjoyed this story, but something was missing. I can't put my finger on it, but I know the smut felt rushed, and I wish it wasn't. There were also transitions in the middle of the page that went from one moment to hours later, and it took me out of the story. Actually a lot of the transitions were a little confusing, since there was no mark of a break in time. This was still a really good story, I'm just not in a huge rush to get to the next book in the series as I have with other series
