Suzanne Vela is a big girl with striking violet eyes and she's always been made to feel bizarre, not beautiful. She longs to meet the man of her dreams and live happily ever after with him, but she is so damn tired of dating. She has just moved to a quaint, quirky small town and she hopes that she has finally found a place she can call home.
Mason Gray works with his brothers at Gray's Domain, a construction company and is a member of the small volunteer firefighting force in Shadow Point. When he saves a woman from a burning house, he realizes that there is something strange and special about her. She has been drained of nearly all her blood. She should be dead, but she is clinging on tenaciously to life.
Suzanne is stunned to find that she isn't dead. A brave, handsome firefighter risked everything and did the impossible to save her. Suzanne finally learns who and what she is. There is power in her blood, and she will use that power to fight for a happily-ever-after with the man of her dreams.

I've read the whole Gray Bear series but this review can be applied to all of them. The stories are very quick reads with an HEA but they each have a little suspense thrown in by each having their own villain. My favorite characters in the entire series (you even see them pop up in some of her other series) are the two 80+ year old witches who are always up to well intentioned mischief. If they were real I would love to be able to become their best friend!
Great short story by this author. This author has the ability to make you feel the different emotions of the different characters in this series. I can't put any book down by this author. One of my favorite authors. Highly recommend this book, author and series
Again I have read and loved this entire series several times and can't believe that I have never taken the time to review them. A true fated mate story with just a little help from a couple ofmeddling Gramma witches. A must read!
Talk about a date from hades . Wow that guy was a creepy jerk and in the end got exactly what he deserved . I’m so glad they got their happily ever after.
Pardon me while I swoon. This series just keeps getting better and better. Now you add in fae to the mix? Shut the front door.
Suzanne Vela is part fae but doesn't know it. She goes on a blind date with a vamp who gets a taste of Suzanne's deliciousness and decides he wants it all. So he drains her and leaves her to die in a fire to burn the evidence of his dinner.
Cue hero- Mason Gray, bear shifter and volunteer fire fighter. He saves Suzanne from the fire and injures himself in the process. When they get to the hospital, he finds out that she needs blood but can only take her family (which she doesn't know) or her mate's blood....The rest of this review is posted on Bodacious Bookworm
Enjoyed this book 3 in the series. Only a couple issues is its too short and it seemed their feelings were just way too fast. Then there is the thing about her Fae father? We don't get confirmation whether it was his voice who helped her. Why wouldn't he come forward why did he abandon her? I think if the author wasn't going to answer those questions she probably should have left him out of it altogether. Readers like things to be wrapped up....at least I do.
Natalie kristen knocks another one out of the park. I love the way she builds a story and has you hooked from page one. You can picture the characters so easily in your mind. The story flows easily with minimal grammatical errors. This one has a true blood feel to it and I loved it!!!
Am so mad the nasty vampire bit her again although he got his this time around. I can't wait to read Jackson's story. Let's see if his tops the others.
